Very friendly and helpful staff, bringing all customers a true Mom & Pop local store feel.Bought some caulk and didn't grab a receipt because I figured I had the color matched perfectly, even bring an old chunk that I am planning to replace. Got home and turned out a little too dark. Should've went with other color that is just a little lighter and is same brand. The folks at True Value helped my wife out to swap for the lighter color, without any questions about a receipt.Thank you, Krueger True Value!!

I love this place! Everyone is always friendly and asking if I need help. There isn't always someone in the paint department, but when there is...they are extremely knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Brad took the time to help me figure out what stain color to use on a project (had me bring in my project and we played around with the colors right there in the store, so I didn't have to buy a bunch of samples). On a different day someone else in the paint department (who was actually off duty and there shopping for his own projects) helped me find what I needed and gave me some advice.I would much rather support this store over the big box stores.I highly recommend!!

Thank you to everyone at this Neenah treasure! I’ve been meaning to do this for so long but today it’s getting done! Everyone is always so friendly and even go out of their way to ask if you need help with anything. That’s wonderful because I usually do!We went in to pick up a few things because of the Father’s Day Promotion. We saved 10 bucks and essentially got my new work gloves for FREE!Our back yard, and neighbor to the side and behind our property have been too patient and kind. More than what we deserve as they have had to deal with critters, bur’s, and a forest invading their own property. Thank you both for everything!We rented a new toy and am excited to learn about it and found out we can buy an attachment for our weed eater.Thanks again Krueger’s you’ve come in clutch…again!

I am in the process of rebuilding my Briggs and Stratton snowblower engine. The documentation for the engine model that I'm rebuilding is extremely difficult to find. I ended up calling Krueger's and they (Scott) looked up the torque specs for me. He went way out of his way to help me out (at no cost). I will be giving my small engine business to Kruegers going forward!

They provide popcorn and allow dogs...that's worth two stars. Staff is usually grumpy and annoyed when you ask for help.

Terrible experience with u-haul department at True Value. Supervisor - Max didn't rectify the problem, he didn't hold their staff member accountable for what they told the customer. Max was rude and mocked customer over the phone.

Gentlemen that work there have been nice and helpful each time I need assistance but an older lady who works there is very unhappy, condescending and rude. Responses as if it is the customers duty to be aware of products & location of them in the store, instead of helping or offering someone who can.Sadly not all people belong in customer service; it shows and hurts a business’s reputation.

We had 2 home projects today and went to Krueger True Value. They are incredibly helpful and dedicated to finding the right fix you need to get it done right. Infinitely better than any box store. Special thanks to Matt and Karissa, two employees that went out of their way. Thanks guys!!!

I had a snowblower carburetor replaced, oil changed, tuneup. I got it back a week later. I went go and use it a few days later, all of a sudden the electric doesn't work.The starter had worked all along , and was checked over before I had gotten it back. I went to use it a week after I got back, it did not work. I also noticed brown spots in the snow as well after I got it to work with pull cord. I had picked up a day later. I called to talk to a manager, ended up being the owner. He completely dissatisfied me and mentioned there was no oil leak and basically disappointed me after being on the phone with him for about 10 minutes !!!I don't recommend take any small engine items in to be looked at !!!

Not too sure who allowed them to be listed as a brigs and stratton dealer. Called looking to order a new motor and talked with I assume someone in their repair department who wasn't aware that they are listed as an engine dealer. The person was strangely rude , it was quite the bizzare interaction for someone trying to order an engine. I've ordered new engines before and never had someone be so unprofessional.

Called with a simple question for rental dept. Might have been the rudest person I've talked to in 30 years of being in business. I'm speechless. If Jim Webb SR(original owner) would have heard our conversation, he would have dropped his pipe. Then fired this a-hole and threw him out of the building. I've had issues with bad help before there but to be that incredibly rude is enough for me to close my 32 year business account with them. Makes me sick. Guess I'll switch to Ace as my local store. Less selection but kind and helpful at least.

They say that they provide better service than the big box hardware stores but that’s not correct. When you walk in no one asks if you need help. They have a very limited supply and can’t even re key a lock. Your better off to just go to Home Depot. They have the stock and have people who like to help you!

I typically try to shop at locally owned stores when possible... it's getting more challenging everyday. Krueger's has a level of customer service mindset that is hard to come by anywhere else...and I've actually found several products that I use that I've noticed are not available at places like Lowe's and Home Depot on the occasions when I am in one of those larger stores. I've used their small engine service center for multiple pieces of equipment, purchased new and used small gas engine equipment (lawn mowers, snow blowers, etc) from them. To be honest, I really don't shop around for that kind of thing anymore as I've found dealing with a business I trust is worth the time I save.

Nice place, friendly knowledgeable staff that will help you find hardware of choice... Free popcorn, U-haul rental/retail on the site, bring your dog if it is leashed and well behaved! I have been there many times .... actively involved in community efforts.... Have seen girl scouts / boy scout selling cookies/popcorn fundraiser stuff there inside and outside of the building... Need I say more? Go get your hardware on ⛏️ ✂️📌📐⛓️🔩🔨🛠️🖌️

the staff was unhelpful and belittle me because I have no clue what i was looking for but I did know what I was looking for. I needed another opinion or alternative. So instead of looking at me like I was dumb and speaking to me with a stern voice, he sat there and did nothing! The man that worked in the back, white man, tall, older, white mustache, and beard, he looked like he was in his 60-70 on may 31, 2022 around 5:00, shame on you for your customer service, I think it’s time for to you retire since the way you like to belittle customers by making them feel stupid by saying “I can’t help you if you don’t know what you’re talking about.” Shame on kruger true values to allow staff like him to work there when clearly he show that he is no longer happy being there by the way he treat customers. Or maybe because I was a lady and Asian and didn’t care to help because of who I am.

Great selection for a moderately sized store. Prices are a little higher than the big box stores, but it's much closer, and the staff are more interested in getting to know you and your projects.They're also dog friendly, so you can swing in while you're walking your pet!

I needed a locking nut for my lawnmower wheel yesterday, and the man that assisted me got me exactly what I needed! Today I had to go back because I needed a new blade for the same mower. The same gentleman helped me with exactly what I needed again! I wish I had gotten his name, because he deserves recognition and a raise! I love this store! They always have what I need.

This is a great hardware store. They are generally well stocked. The staff are super helpful and know the store layout. When I am in Neenah, this is my go-to store home repairs.

While this is my go to local hardware store, I am finding it increasingly more difficult to find what I am looking for. Inventory levels seem to be dwindling and common items are often out of stock. Employees need to be more upbeat and helpful to keep this local resource viable.

Went in to get paint matched. Started by saying I know it wont be exact I dont care just as best as you can do will work and I only want a quart not a gallon. Employee wants to then sit and debate with me about how touch ups are "the hardest" trying to get me to buy a whole gallon, but like i said from the start i didnt care if it was exact close was good enough. Then he went on about how its really hard to match exactly im just trying to lower your expectations when i let my expectations be known up front. Then hes going to ask me about brands and a bunch of little things until I just gave up and took my business to a big box store. I tried to take my business to a small business but they employees (at least in paint on 5/14 around 1 pm) will stall and upsell and not care until the customer goes and does their business at the next place. Its sad to see how this place has gone downhill.

Waited for over a half hour in the small engine shop and no one came out to even acknowledge I was on the other side of the employee door. Which had a window in it. Multiple employees were just on the other side of the door. Finally left. Won't be going back, which is a shame since I'm a homeowner and they're the closest shop.

Came in for an extra key today. The gentleman took one glance at the key and said we do not carry that. I went an got the blank key from kens that was needed and returned. The same gentleman stated its against policy to cut a blank key they do not sell. What a waist of time. I wont be back for anything else I need.

It's too bad that when I walk in here I am harassed to wear a mask. It would be nice if people could think for themselves and realize it's a non-issue. If you want to wear a mask to feel better, cool, great, do it. I choose not to. I prefer to shop at places that do not harass me to wear a mask which has no legitimate scientific proof of stopping the spread of a virus. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. I have a right to choose and to live freely. I will not be controlled by a propaganzied virus.

Yes, you may pay a little more, but they have everything and the people are great. You don't have to travel 12-15 miles to a big box when your doing a home repair or remodeling. I've been shopping here 27 years and they haven't failed me yet. I bit higher price is made up in gas savings! I love making the trip to Krueger Hardware.

I was very disappointed in my visit there today. I went to buy a drill and some kid who wasn't working there(had no uniform or anything identifying himself as an employee), he was taking to a blonde guy there and apparently the blonde told him to help me and he disappeared. He had someone page for assistance for me but no one came after waiting 15 minutes. I will tell my friends not to shop there

I will not shop there again. Ask 3 times to get assistance by the lights area. First she only knew about paints, but I could go to the front of the store and ask. So I go up to the front, checkers talking to friend for a bit, then worked on register, then asks if I needed anything. I said we needed some help in the lights, aisle 8. So she called for assistance over intercom. No one came. I went to ask direction for bathroom at service desk in the back of store. I also stated we needed help by aisle 8,as no one had come to help yet and my dad was waiting there. He never looked up, just told me where the bathroom was, which was out of order. There was a nice man in the break room who showed me the other bathroom. Needless to say no one ever showed up to help. We left and bought what we needed at Walmart.
