I am from the Milwaukee area, which is close to an hour and a half away from GLV. I think this team far exceeds any medical care available to my two dogs in the greater Milwaukee area, so I gladly drive the distance to receive their amazing care! After my puppy was treated unsuccessfully for a stubborn UTI (which lasted 7 weeks) at our vet in Milwaukee, our breeder recommended Great Lakes Veterinary and I’m so incredibly glad she did! Dr. Shaw treated our puppy and she was cured of the UTI with the first treatment! Coincidentally, within 24 hours of our puppy being cured, our senior dog fell deathly ill and we rushed him to GLV where Dr. Jeff immediately saw him. We all feared the worst, but after many tests, Dr. Jeff diagnosed him with Addison’s Disease which they will now help manage for the remainder of his life. If it wasn’t for Dr. Jeff’s timeliness and expertise, our senior dog would have likely died by the end of the weekend. I am so incredibly grateful for this amazing group of people. I cannot say enough good things about them! I highly recommend GLV!

I absolutely love the staff at Great Lakes! & the doctors! They always ask if I have a preference for a doctor and I always say no because everyone’s great. Right when I walk into the door the great experience starts. Maybe that’s why you calling GREAT Lakes. Everyone’s so friendly, and actually care about the animals. My animals are my pride and joy, so I love it when people show interest in my animals. Keep up the great work and I’ll always be a loyal customer!

I can't say enough about the compassion Great Lakes staff has for their patients and family.We have been visiting their clinic for the last 6 years. It started when we breed our saints. We went there for xrays to see how many pups we should expect.3 litters of puppies later, a spay for our female, a neuter for our male and entropion surgery they have always went above and beyond for us.When our fat head started limping and pain meds weren't helping I called their office in the morning and was able to have him be seen at 10am. We got the bone cancer diagnosis and the vet spent about a half hour with us explaining our options and what to expect next.Monday we are taking our fat head in to be put down due to bone cancer and the compassion the receptionist had when I called to schedule the appointment was amazing. They were willing to get us in for whatever time would work for us.There service has been phenomenal over the years with our crew and we will continue to use them in the years to come!

Always friendly, always caring. The facility has everything you need as a pet lover to care for your animal. A walking, potty area outside (with waste bags and disposal) to beverages and snacks in the lobby for you and your pet. As an owner of two pets with allergies, I couldn't think of a better place to treat my boys.

I have finally found the best veterinary clinic for my senior cat, Smudge. Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic has a great process designed to provide timely care while keeping the stress level for both pet and owner to a minimum. Staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and informative. Pricing was fair, so I really have no complaints at all.

Took a litter of puppies I am whelping there and it went super fast and efficient. The vet and veterinary assistant were very nice and smiled through the chaos of 9 six week old puppies.

The staff was great with answering questions as well as the unimaginable friendliness that was shown! At first I was hesitant after reading a handful of reviews, but I’m more of a “see it to believe it” type of person. Good thing I gave the Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic a shot. They treated my fur baby (Fee-Fee) with such affection. Definitely making my trip here every time I need to bring her in after our move. Thank you Great Lakes! 😬

My babie went in for a spay and came out traumatized with 6 staples in her leg from a mysterious cut that they take no responsibility for! This story goes on and on and on... so I'll just say you won't get the same pet back that you intrusted them to! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

We couldn’t be more pleased with the Great Lakes Veterinary clinic, specifically the orthopedic specialist. He addressed our concerns in a way we could understand, in a calm manner, and helped our 8 month old puppy out in a very timely manner after breaking his leg. He made us feel at ease after stressful news at the emergency animal hospital. Highly recommend to anyone- best experience in the area. Facility is clean, professionalism in staff, and friendliness makes this place 5 star. Thank you for your help and caring for our dog.

Every interaction I've had with everyone at this facility has been fantastic. You can tell that the workers get along and are highly professional in their operations. I set up an initial wellness exam without any hassle. In the time between now and my exam, I had an issue with my kitten, but they worked with the doctor and I to get my kitten in right away. I will continue to bring my pet here as I've enjoyed my experiences thus far.

Great Lakes Vet Clinic is like family to us! We recently added a puppy to our family (along with our German Shepherd rescue dog). Last week was our puppy's initial appointment and once again the staff was wonderful in teaching me (as a first-time puppy mom) those things I needed to know. They are patient and always willing to answer my questions. They have a number of veterinarians on staff and I have felt comfortable with each and every one of them. I highly recommend this vet clinic if you want compassionate, competent, and personalized care!

Brought my new cat here for vaccines and a wellness exam. When the tech came into the room, she told me that “you could have cleaned her better before bringing her in” mind you that I just rescued this cat that was a stray a day before. I asked if the car could stay in the room while everything was done because I didn’t feel comfortable letting her go to the back. As they gave her the vaccine, she hissed and the tech scruffed her neck and yelled “knock it off!” And then pushed her head down really hard. I have never been so mad in my life. The way she was treated was so unacceptable. I will not be coming here again, as my experience with my dog wasn’t good in the past either

We have had multiple pets through the years at Great Lakes and have always had wonderful service for our pets. Recently, our dog was very ill and Dr Susan truly saved him by performing an emergency surgery. Her thoroughness, care and follow up were just wonderful and we are so thankful!

We have been coming here for 2 years with our 2 dogs. We have been very happy with this clinic. Amazing staff and veterinarians. This morning my dog woke up sick and they were able to squeeze me in on a Saturday to save me a trip to the emergency vet. Would highly recommend.

The vets are absolutely amazing, but trying to get in to see anyone is a nightmare. My dog needs a quick injection, which can be provided by a tech, and they are booking out 4+ weeks. The injection is for acute symptoms that can’t be planned for ahead of time.When I brought this up to our vet last year that it was very hard to get in for this injection, they mentioned that for a tech visit it shouldn’t be more than a couple days to get in. However when I called this year, the person working the front desk stated that the vets have no idea how far they are booking out and make these promises frequently but are unable to keep them.It’s incredibly frustrating as my pet is suffering and I am unable to get him the care that he needs.A vet clinic should keep spots open for urgent care needs, just as a physician keeps spots available on a daily basis for same day or urgent needs. Waiting 4+ weeks for an time sensitive treatment is absolutely horrific animal care.Updated: after seeing the review, the manager did reach out and get me a same day tech appointment to get my dog the care that he needs. Stars updated to reflect this, much appreciated.

I have had experience with several, if not almost all of the vets at Great Lakes, with multiple of my animals, from standard wellness visits to dental cleaning and surgeries, to larger emergency surgeries. Every one, every time has been fantastic. Ive felt very reassured, very educated on their processes, spoken to in a very personable understanding way, and felt very comfortable leaving my babies in their hands!!! Dr Jamie, Dr Randy, Dr Elizabeth, some of my favorites but honestly this place has proven to be there for me and my pets in ways others couldn't. I love these people and am so so thankful for their care!!!

I don't recommend them, I just need to get a simple blood test done for my dog and they're more local than my primary vet is, who is an hour from me. Just need to do a blood test and I had been to this vet clinic with my dog a few years ago, they weren't really the right fit for us due to higher costs and being more pushy on making sure to get my credit card. But since I had been there, I figured they could handle an easy blood test.They won't schedule us, because It's been over a year, and that would make us a new patient again again. Also because they have a staffing shortage.Really it's just an easy blood test.In addition I went there A few months ago asking if they'd be able to put my dog down due to her cancer had really affected all her major systems and she was pain. My primary vet was in the process of moving to a new location, and Great Lakes used to be very good about helping people when they were in need with a dying dog so they wouldn't suffer. ( they would take you to a private room, had a fireplace, gave you a pin afterwards give you as much time as you needed with your dog.) Can't say that's the same anymore, they kicked us to the curb told us to go look for another place. Not caring at all about our situation.This place has no sympathy , they're all about profit and not the true caring of the animal

I have a very nervous dog that has not had good experiences with vets. I am SO grateful that we found Great Lakes. Their team is confident and capable, not to mention compassionate and kind. Also their prices are very reasonable! Thank you Great Lakes for making vet visits not as intimidating.
