This place is amazing!! I live a good distance from Animal House, and have only been there twice now. The workers are phenomenal and super helpful. One of them even gave me some free surprise bugs for my bearded dragon to try. I don't care how far away from this place I live, I will keep coming back! I have been meaning to do a review for months now. My husband and I have been coming to Animal House for coming up on a year now. We drive 35 mins to come here one a week at least to get bugs for our reptiles/ amphibians. We have purchased a few tarantulas from them, a gecko, a frog, two scorpions, and a snake, all of which are doing awesome! Being new to the hobby I always have a bunch of questions but they’re always helpful and I feel I am getting the best advice and knowledge on taking care of my animals. We are planning to move out of state in less than a year, and are so sad to be moving away from this business as they’ve been so incredibly helpful, and always honest. We’ve been spoiled having them so close by. The animals are always active and up and moving- I would recommend them time and time again!! These are some of our animals from Animal House!

Jason was so knowledgeable about how to properly care for the animals on site. He not only took time to discuss some of the things we had read up on, but even let us see one of the bearded dragons up close. Great store!

About 6months ago after a horrible, horrible experience with pet world trying to buy a red iguana, I decided to take my business elsewhere, upon doing so I came across contacting Animal House via phone call to check on Chinese Water dragons. Jason answered very friendly and sadly explained there was none in stock but they expected a delivery in a few days and that I should call back, and so I did wait, I visited other stores in the meantime, but wasn't feeling or finding anything... then I called back, Jason again answered, remembered me calling, and told me they in fact DID get their shipment in! I was so excited I grabbed my 11yr old son and off we went to Animal House!!Upon entering we were greeted by friendly staff, looked arpund at other lizards and tank configurations they had set up, and finally the moment of truth they brought out 2 lil baby Chinese water dragons! After carefully handling them both we decided on the one that was coming home with us.Pleased to report 6 months later and lil baby Hydro-Zuki is doing great! Healthy, happy, and loves to be handled. The prices were good, the customer service here made me feel really good and excited about our purchase, unlike how pet world made us feel especially, so with that being said, I'm very happy I took my business elsewhere, drove the extra mile, and found our new lizard friend here.All in all, the animals appeared well cared for, fed, and clean tanks. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and not trying to sell you anything you don't need, but will not hesitate to help make sure you do have everything you will need to keep your pet happy and above all healthy.I would recommend this store to anyone looking for all sorts of lizards, snakes or even dare I say... tarantulas!?!?! Lol

I had called them asking for information about my new baby ball python that wouldn’t eat. The man that answered my call and questions knew I didn’t get the snake through them but still gave me caring advice. With the advice that he gave me we were successful in getting him to eat. Beyond thankful.

Had to make my first Google review just to talk about this place! The pets are clearly from good breeders as a family member and I both got pets from there and all lived/are living healthy and happy lives. There is a wide selection of items, and I always feel much better morally about shopping there as opposed to a place like Petco. All the animals seem to be healthy at all times- not to mention they're all absolutely adorable. They have many different rodents and reptiles, as well as some pretty sweet bugs and tarantulas. The staff are friendly, and even willing to check in the back if you don't see a product you need on the shelves. The place feels homey and is clearly well-run. You can find everything from pet food to vitamin supplements to toys to hiding places there and dear god I just realized how weird I sound. Well, what can I say- in conclusion I'm just very happy with my wonderful little guinea pig and the place that helps me keep him healthy. :]

I can't stress enough how much I love this store, knowledgeable friendly staff and an incredible selection of animals and the stuff you need to care for them properly!! Not like these big chain stores that shove you out the door with an animal with incorrect care information setting you up to fail!

Fantastic experience. The owner took the time to show the animals to us and talk to the little ones(5and3) about them. He showed them creatures up close that they had only ever seen on TV or read about in books.some even more rare than that. Also found some things for my bioactive tanks. Will definitely go back.

You definitely get what you pay for in terms of feed for your reptile including super worms, crickets, horned worms, Dubia roaches, etc. They're not mostly dead like most pet stores. The animals are well taken care of and the employees are knowledgeable and offer helpful advice. We are repeat customers.

Every time we come in, we are ignored. The employees at the front desk are always talking to customers for long periods of time and it seems like you are bothering them by being there. We were in for about 15 minutes looking at one animal and no one ever bothered to ask if we needed help or even acknowledge us. I understand that there are customers who come in for feed bugs and you know them but its really irritating that this happens every time.

My experience with this company was through email/online shopping. Communication via email was phenomenal. Staff was so friendly and genuine! Not too mention, they actually had what I was searching for which tells me it's not just apples to apples when it comes to Animal House! The website was extremely easy to navigate and price for what I was inquiring about was reasonable!!

There is a great selection of equipment, reptile food, enclosures and anything else you're little friends might need. The way the shop is set up makes it easy to find what you need to. I wasn’t sure about trusting this place. Some of the staff gave me an initial bad impression and the prices were very high on supplies.After talking with the owner, he answered all of my questions and knew exactly what he was doing with the reptiles. I was reassured by his expertise and decided to make a purchase of an expensive pet reptile. So far the animal has been very healthy and wonderful temperament.

We were out shopping and happened to find this pet shop! Such a nice clean and organized store! We were happily greeted by the adorable baby Guinea pigs....they were all making that cute oinking trill!! All the pets looked very social, healthy and eager to find their forever homes. I will definitely be back with my daughters and we will be sure to tell all of our friends. We hope the pet shop has much success!

Was extremely happy to have discovered this store recently. I have been working on rebuilding my herp collection, and becoming part of the community again. The owner, Dan has thoroughly impressed me with his knowledge, friendliness, and the amazing health of his live animals. Absolutely love the place, very knowledgeable and honest staff, excellent resource for tarantula husbandry, and they seem to take excellent care of all of their reptiles! Definitely a responsible and reliable pet store. Just wish they used masks on shift more often, and took distancing a bit more seriously. Still won't shop anywhere else, but would definitely come more often and feel safer if better covid practices were implemented!
