I’ve been going to mama’s cafe for over 4 years , I first fell in love with the cheeseburgers, fish fry is great, traditional Wisconsin at its best. You’ll never leave hungry. Great atmosphere, great staff, the cafe with a soul. Every other Friday night live music.

Great food made by Mama every time cooked to perfection. Our favorite server Mandy is amazing always big smile and welcome every time we walk in. Great choices and specials daily. I have even witnessed Mama give a very nice compliment to a newer server and encouraging her employees while supporting them. This is a great place with great food and people everyone. Thank you Mandy, Mama and Staff for providing Montello with your business and service.

Wow, what a menu. We almost passed it buy thinking it was *just* ice cream but don't be fooled, It's bigger than you think, plenty of tables and a huge menu and everything was delish. Italian Burgers, Reuben Sandwich, Cream of Mushroom Soup and Fried cheese curds. Yummy! Quick and personable service too. Great Job Mama!

First and LAST time going there. Waitress got one (of 2 people) order wrong and said she’d get the country fried steak that was missing. Then tried to charge us an extra $7.00 extra for HER mistake! This “Large” omelette is a joke. Looks like it was made with 2 eggs. It was definitely nothing special. I didn’t want the potatoes and she offered me no substitute. When I asked if I could have extra English muffins instead of potato’s, she said she would have to charge me full price. Breakfast for 2 killed $40 and I left hungry. Waitress seemed nervous or agitated also.

Amazing food as well as the waitress. Amazing cook. They sure do an outstanding job just three of them. Atmosphere and music is another 5 star. Oh and the taco pizza is amazing. French toast and Belgium waffles . I was told by the other two people that we took hear their country fried steak and gravey was super God. And the croissant sandwich was also very good. Left with a very full tummy.

Great hard working women with amazing food options and amazing service. Owner Tony remembers everyone and her main waitress is on point with the smallest details like preferring vanilla over unflavored coffee creamer. We've been eating here for over a year and have never been disappointed. Sure when they're busy the service slows down a bit, but for the price and quality we will always eat here. Mama's is also consistent with their hours unlike other Montello establishments so you know when you can eat here versus having to drive up and find out their closed.

Our waitress was great but the food was less than mediocre. If this is the best in Montello go to a different city. Large omelette was small and flavorless, coffee was cold and old, and toast wasn't even toasted.

A small unassuming place on the south end of Montello, Mama's Cafe is a perfect place to get a bite of good food. The atmosphere is casual with a small game room for kids and gaming machines for grownups too. I talked to Mama the owner and chef, and could see she loves her work and the food I had, showed it. We stopped in for the Friday fish fry, I had a combo plate with cod and fried shrimp (which was great) homemade potato pancakes, beans, coleslaw and rye bread. Waitress was friendly and service was great. DON'T go there on Tuesdays (they are closed) but any other day you'll get great food and service.

They were pretty busy and we had a table of 7 upstairs. Our waitress took long bringing beverages and we waited over an hour and a half for our breakfast. When our food was brought it was in intervals so we didn't get to enjoy our meal together before leaving town and 3 of 7 orders were incorrect. The waitress offered to take one of the mistakes off the bill, and at that point the person didn't even want the rest of the meal because we had been there over TWO hours. We had sent the kids to the kid zone twice already and more than half of the games didn't work/weren't plugged in.The owner did give the kids each some money to try to keep them busy in the kid zone which was very kind. And the food that we got was good (minus the bacon).BUT I was the last one to leave with two of the kids after someone paid the bill and heard the waitress in front of other patrons and staff talking about how she had even taken the $7 meal off and the owner had given the kids money and all she was left was $5 which I think is bull. I may not agree with the tip (I also didn't pay the bill) but we had an extremely poor experience.

Customer service was amazing and the food matched. Normally it is hard to get my kids to eat their food and all of them finished their food. Burgers are super juicy and so good. I had the mushroom swiss, yum! Oh their fried pickles!!! Make sure you order them!

I'll never go back to this restaurant. My husband and I went in October 2021 and my debit card was charged twice. We went in same day to tell owner that it was charged twice and she said yes that happens one will be put back into account. I told her I hope so since we lived hours away from there and were leaving for home next day. I waited days watching account for both charges to end up coming out of our account. I called to talk with owner and waited days to have contact with her. When I finally spoke with her I explained what happened and she told me she would send check in the mail to my address. So after a month of never receiving the check I called to speak to her again and she confirmed address to tell me she was sending it. As of today I still have never got reimbursed for one of the charges. I regret not going to my bank and just having them take care of it.

The owner refused to stop cooking and come and talk to my husband about horrible our food and coffee were. I didn't eat my meal bc it had raw uncooked onion and I brought it back and she told me she couldn't make it without it which I find to be a lie. Nothing on the menu had what it had in it. Will never come back and when we come in we always spend $100 or more in food so she just lost some good money.

Food was good. Was pretty upset about pricing. They advertise in their menu $4.50 for kid's meal. Choice of pancakeor FT, Egg & Meat. When I got my receipt there was a charge of $6. Waitress stated there was upcharge for the Egg/Meat. Menu should indicate that.. then you are paying $4.50 for one piece of FT. My meal was $5.95 for 2.. pretty steep if you ask me. Will be going to Sparks Grill for kids food in the future. Heads up to parents.

Very good food. Picked up a Mexican Wrap. Different, but tasty. My wife picked up the Eggs, Potatoes, and Toast which she enjoyed. Restaurant seemed clean. Very well priced. They accept credit cards as well. Which actually draws us to Mama's. Instead of having to deal with an ATM at a different local restaurant. Give it a try if you are in the area. Don't think you will be disappointed.
