Only grocery store in town.Big enough to have what you need but not everything.People are nice, but they are slow with checking you out.Only one person on duty to check you out.I'm assuming it's hard to get employees here in this small town.So be patient with them.

It's still a small town hub, well lit, clean, and stocked with the essentials and a few other items that you may need. Keep this place in mind if you are in need of those last-minute items or just don't feel like traveling to shop for the necessities.

Nice and clean grocery. Did find some expired yogurts on the shelf but overall a really convenient grocery for the area.

If I could give a negative star, I definitely would. The way the "owners" or "managers" treat people who ask simple questions about why the price of their products changed almost a whole $1 between transactions. Blows my mind. Very unprofessional, that's for sure.

Love this grocery store. It is clean, shelves are nicely stocked, and the employees are fantastic. I am always greated with a smile and treatedvwith respect. My son loves their steaks. He looks forward to a porterhouse when he comes to visit. Just a great shoppibg experience all around.

A decent place for more grocery variety, though you may pay for convenience on some. Deals on others & great liquor mart for 1 stop shop. Especially with water fun in the very close area of here.

It's a hole. One of the workers a short dumpy dude needs an attitude adjustment but he's the owners son so that won't happen.Prices are way too high for my budjet

My family and I are locals and we recently went to shop their for some groceries, upon entering the store I immediately noticed that it was warm inside, which I thought was rather unusual for a grocery store with a produce section. Upon stopping by the produce section to grab an onion, I reached for the onion only to have my finger go deep into the onion as I pulled my finger out of the rotten onion I was bombarded with fruit flies. Upon further inspection of the produce section I noticed several other fruits and vegetables that were rotting as well, needless to say we did not grab any produce from there. When we proceeded to checkout I mentioned the rotting produce to the cashier and she said that it had been like that for a while and that was all she had to say, no apologies or anything. My family and I will not be shopping there anytime soon for anything.

The liquor store inside was well stocked. The guy working there was knowledgeable about what he was selling, which was a relief. They had run out of my drink this weekend and he was able to show me something just as good. The store itself was limited, but clean and well stocked. The people were friendly and quick.

The store was fine until it was time to check out. Customer service deserves a big fat zero. The only place to check out was the liquor store portion of the store. The counter was small, so I started clearing the counter by putting my detergent and sodas in the cart. I accidentally grabbed something she hadn't rung up and she snapped at me! She set aside the bags I brought in and when she was done ringing up my groceries, she looked at me and said, "I didn't know how you wanted your groceries packed." I packed up my groceries as a long line started to form. Needless to say I will not be back.

Small town grocery with a little bit of everything. Meat department is thin pickings but the liquor store has everything or can get everything. Great for odds and ends and last minute grabs but not a go to for a large family or bulk shop.

The last 3 times I shopped, there were no checkout people. You had to go into the liquor store to check out and there was a really long line for the poor lady who was the only one there. Since the prices are so high I usually only stop there for a few things, so it just isn't worth the wait!

Small town grocery store but it has everything a person needs plus it has it's own liquor store. Wonderful staff, very friendly and willing to help you find whatever you're looking for including grain free dog food. Awesome little store

They say to buy local, but the owner has to be price gouging!! The montello owner is ridiculous especially on fruits and vegetables… honestly I go to Westfield and shop because they are a lot cheaper then montello grocery store… actually Kwik trip in montello is cheaper.. I’d recommend if you want to save money don’t shop montello grocery store

I miss the freezer section of this store. The Deli never seems to be open. I think it is difficult to make a profit with groceries in this small town. The store is clean and the clerks are very helpful.

Pretty nice place. Its a better than nothing place to shop basically. Too often sale items are gone. Bathroom is dirty and needs upgrade. Does have some hard to find favorites that i cant find elsewhere... Like Jolly Good soda!

Meat priced $3.13 on shelf rang up $4.99. I told cashier. Snotty! She said well it's buy one get one free anyway. I get it but price needs to match shelf price. I didn't push it. Why argue with ignorance. You get the employees you pay for. I'm sure she was minimum wage. No wonder people drive to Portage to shop!!

I was in desperate need of a couple essentials for our Thanksgiving feast. As I walked up to the door, it was being locked by a woman from inside. She was so friendly and asked me what I needed. She then allowed me to come in and grab a couple things. I would like to thank her and Freitag's for making our Thanksgiving dinner perfect!!!

Nice Small Town Grocery Store - Owner was kind of RUDE to my 3 year old daughter, when she asked if she could have one of the inflatable cows onto the milk cooler. I then asked if I could just purchase one from him and he wouldn't even part with one of them.My daughter left this store DEVISTATED.I wish he knew how much that inflatable cow would have meant to her.

A lot of variety & some great everyday, organic & GF products at reasonable prices, esp. if you watch the sales. Get there early in the week of the sales flyer cycle or often will seel out. Very helpful staff; kindness responds to same.

Remodel looks good. Good selection of .beer but I do miss the checkout lane in the liquor department.
