Cool little shop! While I didn’t actually purchase anything, the guy working was so helpful and personable! He answered a ton of my questions and took the time to educate me on a few types of fish we are interested in getting eventually. Great service, I will be back.

Nice little quaint ma and pa aquarium store. Not a huge commercial selection but plenty of things to choose from especially if your looking to do a soil, sand and live plant style aquarium. There's a lot of selection in the way of drift wood, live plants, snails, shrimp and other live fish. Only complaint would be to get better lighting inside the store. Otherwise it's worth going in and supporting small business owners like this outfit right here!!

They are always welcoming and love to give advice about caring for fish! I always find some great stuff in there for my tank at such a great price! My favorite fish store! Here’s some photos of new aquarium rocks for my beta fish that I bought from there, at such a great deal!

The guy that works here is great, very helpful with knowledge of tanks and accessories needed. Everything is very well priced. Only downfall I saw, he needs a bigger location. This one is a bit small for everything going on here. I will definitely be back when more things are in stock. The guy working is a very pleasant person and makes the store seem homely. I love some of the set ups they have, very unique. If I didn't have 2 crazy cats I would have definitely bought more here.

The store is very small, not clean, very unorganized. The prices were incorrect based off the website to in the store.

I love this fish store. They are always friendly and knowledgeable. We always get our fish here and we've never had a fish to die that came from here!! If there is something they don't have they will order them for you. I recommend this store to everyone ☺️

I can’t say enough about Travis. I noticed one afternoon my reef tank was leaking. We purchased the tank from Travis so I immediately called the store in a panic. Explain the situation to Travis and to my surprise he told me to come to the store and borrow a tank to transfer my tank into until I could figure out what I was going to do. Within an hour I was walking out of the store with a tank. I can’t say enough. Travis didn’t have to be so helpful. But he was. He is also helping me with the warranty process to get our tank replaced. I appreciate the help. Definitely saved my reef tank and fish.

I stopped in a little before closing a few weeks ago and received great customer service as well as detailed advice on getting the fish I purchased as a gift to make it back home with me on a 10 hour drive the next day. All fish make it home alive and survived and added 3 hours for a total drive of 13 hours due to severe storms that’s to the advice and directions of the store owner. I so appreciate the 5 star customer service and will stop by for all my fish needs when visiting the area again. Thanks again!

This store is just opening, and I got my first "real" fish tank from it. I think that the man who runs it was extremely helpful, and his store was very clean and organized. He gave us a good price on the stuff we got and even offered to take an old tank off my hands (and gave me some in store credit!). I also got a lot of questions answered. I think the owner is very knowledgeable. He also helped me carry the tank out to my car. Very nice place, excited to keep going back once I get my tank started!

Awesome looking local fish store, great selection. Had a really good feeling when I purchased 9 piranhas from them, even told them they’d be seeing me a lot there. That all changed a few hours later when the piranhas started dying. Reached out to them only to find out they don’t guarantee their fish. As a small business owner I understand the importance of supporting local businesses but I also know we as owners have the responsibility to stand behind our products and services, Im disappointed to say the least but at least learned a lesson that some people prefer to keep costs low than satisfying customers.

Travis and Henry were both great! I purchased my first Discus from them and had a great experience. Travis gave me plenty of info on caring for the fish. They take a lot of pride in their business and have a lot of knowledge. I will be going back there for sure.

Nice, small shop. Not a huge selection, but decent prices. I like that the owner tries to buy locally as well. All the fish are healthy and good looking, as well as the shrimp (which there's a nice selection of). Looking forward to visiting again.

Like the store. Not sure why some of these reviewers were so hateful. I went for the first time last week. They had a good selection of fish and there driftwood selection was great. Didn't buy anything but i will be back for some of that driftwood once i have some measurements. Overall great experience.

I found out Milwaukee Aquatics had a storefront while perusing Craig's List a couple months back and decided to stop in; I am so glad I did.The owner, Travis, is a super friendly guy who goes out of his way to help you. He has the best prices on everything aquarium related. He not only sells everything from tanks and accessories to freshwater and marine fish and invertebrates (anything needed to set up a fresh or saltwater tank-sand, gravel, lights, heaters, pumps skimmers, stands, live rock and etc.), but also has amphibians and reptiles available at times, along with housing and heat lamps for them. All this at the lowest prices I've ever seen. If he doesn't have what you need, he'll order it for you if he can. He also buys and sells used tanks and equipment, so whether you're in the market for new or used, Milwaukee Aquatics should be first on your list of places to stop by and check out.I had checked out the Milwaukee Aquatics website before the storefront opened, and it was fairly minimal, but I have noticed he has been expanding it quite a bit lately. So, that's worth a look too.The store may be on the small side, but don't let that fool you, it is well worth your time to stop in. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised, as I was. I stop in each weekend, even if I don't need anything. I just like see what new livestock and other items have arrived, as well as share updates on my tanks and get advice on the new reef build I'm planning.

If I can rate this no star I would. So I called 30 minutes after their opening hours because I wanted to know if they actually have the tank and stand that I'm very interested in available in their store. I'm more than an hour drive away coming from IL. Nobody picked up and I thought to myself they're probably getting ready for the day. So I called them again twice after a couple hours prior to driving to their store and yet again nobody picked up and I can't leave a voicemail since the phone voicemail is full. I made the drive anyway hoping that they have the tank and stand available in their store (They have it available in their website) More than an hour drive later, I arrived to this store and was surprised how the store looked so cluttered. I told the guy (Asian guy that's holding a driftwood in their website) that I called prior to driving here but nobody picked up. He told me "oh Travis that usually take orders is not here today." I mean, what kind of business are you running that doesn't even have an in store phone? Mind as well take that stupid phone number off your website and your store sign. I stayed for a couple minutes hoping I would see some interesting fish stock but their aquarium are overcrowded with dividers and just like the previous review mention, this store looks like they're about to close because of the clutter. Nothing really looked interesting either, just dirty, overcrowded tanks and piled up tanks in the middle. (No wonder the other review mention about their tank leaking) I would stay away from this store and do business somewhere else.

Was able to order a 80g Deep Blue rimless through them at a price cheaper than the competitors. The tank is perfect, not a scratch I could find. The owner was friendly and helpful!

The husband and I have been coming here since Travis started and the service is awesome. Yes there are times when you have to wait a little but unlike the big stores you don't have to hunt noone down for ten minutes and then get rushed. The selection is increased at least by three fold.

I purchased a 300 gallon Marineland tank and sump and I love it never buy a canister filter again. Travis is very helpful and patient. The prices are very reasonable. After reading some other reviews bashing the place too slow, one person, and clutter. He's a guy trying to run a business that he's got a passion for. If you want faster service and no experienced advice then yeah go to a big box fish store.

The customer service was good. He answered my questions and was courteous. The fish selection wasn't what I expected based on the referrals I got from people.

Gentleman working the store, I unfortunately missed his name, was a very nice guy. Felt welcomed, and had exactly what I came for, and some extra live plants. Will be back soon I’m sure!

Travis was very helpful he explained everything very well and was very helpful. Differently would go back, it was worth the hour and half drive. The only reason it has 4 stars is that the store is a little cluttered and some items were very hard to get to.

Small shop, I liked the location and the very friendly service. If they don't have what you need in store they can get it in a short time. I purchased a fish tank and the price was very competitive

Ok first off I couldn't walk in the store. There is so much product stacked on the floor you had to turn sideways and shimmy through the door. Once inside there are like 20 tanks total and they are subdivided with black grates with very little for selection. The plastic bags on the floor throughout the entire store makes me wonder how much passion they have for their own business. Don't get me wrong this could be a great place to get cheap hard to find fish but to be honest I will never know because I couldn't get passed the clutter and filth of the store. I will never be back to this place. How it received a 4.4 rating on google is beyond me. Lastly the Windows weren't covered and there were tanks in the Windows. Everybody in this hobby knows you can't put the tanks in front of an uncovered window. The sun will cause serious algae issues.

Was not impressed with employee knowledge. Fish i was interested in was not listed and by the time I left the price had changed from 10.00 to 35.00 and guy was still unsure if that was correct. Then he called owner who said he was unsure as well and if he did determin species price would raise again ... I walked and will never return.

Cool little store on Howell. Best selection of driftwood and African cichlids in the area, and a unique selection of brands for equipment which was refreshing. Guy I spoke to briefly, presumably the owner, was very nice and helpful. Will definitely be stopping by again soon!

Hello, My name is Chris.I buy from this store all the time! Seriously the lowest prices around wisconsin. He got me deep into saltwater without breaking my wallet. If you can imagine anything you want saltwater related he either has it in stock or he can order you it and sell you it cheaper then you can find anywhere. I come all the 1 hour away once a week to buy stuff from Travis the owner. He is awesome and always takes care of me and does not pressure me into buying anything. He even has really cheap Hippo Tang and he flat out told me yes its a good deal but I wouldn't buy it for your tank at this moment. He isn't trying to rip anyone off and he really does care. He also returned a light I had bought but didn't like it after 1 week and returned it without even a hiccup! LOVE THIS PLACE! A++++

Travis is a real nice guy and I'd hate to give him a bad review but this is about the fish. When this place was still unknown to many, his prices were unbeatable and he always delivered nice quality peacocks. Now it seems his peacocks are definitely juiced (hormoned) to look more appealing, but the sad part is they are not even males. I bought a few peacocks from him because the colors were amazing. I already knew that they were juiced, but it just shows potential of what they can be, but as their color faded down they turned into plain gray. I decided to vent the fish because now my other males were trying to "mate" with them and sadly as I vented them they were females. His prices have gone up and it's a shame because his store was a gem. Now it's becoming Aquatics Unlimited. Overpriced with horrible ethics.-Replying to comment from owner-Travis, what you just commented was basically a "rant". You also needed your co-workers to jump on board to back you up with "great reviews". As I stated before, you are a nice guy, but I simply gave a bad review because of my concerns. Any loyal or soon to be customer has a right to be disappointed when appropriate. You seem like a smart guy and of course we know that "color" sells. A drab grey peacock won't sell, but to the enthusiasts, we know what the possibilities will become. You should raise some of the peacocks that you sell. A normal peacock will maintain and increase in color as they mature, not lose color within a week given no stress or even at the bottom of a pecking order.

This store was great when it opened. And is now garbage. Travis (the owner) was a pleasure to deal with. The employees he hires though cant understand simple customer service. Cannot understand simple taxes or on how selling a broken product is not acceptable that hasnt even left the counter when checked. And being told its my problem is not acceptable. This taller gentleman doesnt understand care or health for fish. When your main objective in this company is customer service and healthy fish it should be made the priority. All in all i will never return to this company and i hope that the owner would reach out to his numerous customers that are unhappy. A very simple fix would be to get employees that are knowledgable and have passed the 4th grade.

Milwaukee Aquatics has been my go-to shop since day one! They’ve helped my grow my hobby, solved some vexing problems, and have hooked me up with some pretty nice fish! Most of my fish room favorites have come from Milwaukee Aquatics! Most of my equipment as well. I recommend them often to friends who are new to fish-keeping; I trust that my friends will be treated well and given good advice. Thanks, Travis and Crew!!!
