I have shopped here for decades. I only buy local because then you can get personal help with any purchase. Over the years Gary has helped diagnose problems with my fish and dogs. He also carried the medicines needed and gave instructions on their use.He now carries fancy snakes! Wow! I never knew about these.Bottom line...Gary is super knowledgeable and helpful!!!

Came into this pet store to buy some parakeet food and look at tortoise supplies. Right when you walk in the door, there is an extremely strong smell of dust, dirt, and other unpleasant aromas. Looking at where the animals are kept made me feel really sad for them as they were kept in a back room with no light. None of them had proper housing, and their cages/tanks were full of feces. The fish were swimming in algae filled water that was yellow and looked really really dirty. The entire store was dark and dingy, and when I looked through their pet supplies, a lot of them were either expired, covered in dust, or expiring soon. It really made me question the quality in which these items are kept. Also, I had questions about their animals, and the owners/employees were too busy talking to their friends/neighbors about their personal lives to help their customers. We came in and left, and no one ever even greeted us or acknowledged us in any way, and we left in the exact same way. I came here to support a local business, but I have never seen a business so dirty, and that made me feel so sad to be in there.

If I could’ve given zero stars… This place is horrible & I feel bad for every animal housed here. All of the animals are clearly stressed and so was I so I walked clean out. This place needs to be reported & closed.

I love garys been going there for years to get everything I need. Gary is always very nice and helpful. Gary I'd very knowledgeable and very reasonable priced for crickets and I can get live pinkies and fizzles.

This store had so much potential and was such a great little independent store. All of this was thanks to a great knowledgeable staff which unfortunately is a shell of it's former self because the owner, Gary, has run off every one who helped make that store what it was. The store is void of product, Gary straight up lies to customers telling them product isn't available when the fact is those products are available he just doesn't order them because he doesn't like the customer representative or who knows whatever reason. He often times gives outdated, false and even potentially harmful advice for pet care and thinks nothing about covering up the expiration dates of products and still selling them.

There’s urinates and feces in all the snakes cages with no heat or temperature gauges. It smells atrocious in there poor animals. The pied ball python is literally in a 10 gallon trying to get out and all the rats looked over heated. The axolotls have stones and lights when they are sensitive to them. This place has gone really down hill and it’s sad.

Great staff! I got my leopard gecko there and he was in great condition. No cloudy eyes, no stuffed ears or nose or really anything to be worried about. Very great service, the staff help you as soon as you come in to the store and will even make you feel very welcome by talking to you and interacting with their customers.. a lot more than almost any other pet store I've been to.

It's a little smaller than I expected however they had everything I was looking for and the woman that helped me was incredibly helpful. She was very knowledgeable and helpful.I will be going back shortly to get a very reasonably priced ball python (bred locally). I was at several other reptile selling stores and was not able to see anything larger than tiny baby corn snakes that were so small that you would need to literally thaw a tiny pinkie mouse and cut it in half and hope they could or would eat it (per staffers answers to my questions)Great to find a quality local pet shop with apparently everything you could hope to find

Went to get a tarantula for my daughter not knowing much about them. Sales associate, Victoria, was not only extremely knowledgeable, but an incredibly vibrant authentic human being that left us feeling entertained and excited about our new pet Charlotte. Gary is a warm friendly guy. Our experience there was fantastic enough to make us leave mega chain store pet shopping forever!

Went there tonight super nice staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our purchase took time to show me all the snakes on offer and explained the pros and cons of them very open and honest not just trying to get a "big sale" wanted to make sure I was happy with my new pet also did a good job on our little ones nails very happy with this place A+ a very nice little mom and pop pet shop with everything you could ever want excellent staff and fair prices! we will be back Thank you very much A++

Helpful, friendly, honest, well taken care of local business. What more can you ask for? Do they have a warehouse with every pet you could ever want? No. But if they have what you're looking for, I'd much rather get it from here than the big box stores that don't even know how to properly house their animals. And the prices are great, too. Keep it up, guys.

Pretty dirty. The staff was friendly but not very helpful answering questions. They don’t have a lot of selection for pet habitat supplies. I felt bad for the animals because of their cramped conditions. There are much better local pet shops in Milwaukee that keep their pets in comfortable living areas. Not a place I’d have interest in going back to.

Gary's is great. The staff is knowledgeable and a joy to interact with, they always take excellent care of me, and I love supporting local business owners like Gary as opposed to the big box stores. Their blackworms are always the best of anywhere in the MKE area and they always go above and beyond when I need something. They're honestly like family at this point!

Friendly, patient, knowledgeable people work here. I visited there with my grandkids who are interested in reptiles. They're researching how to care for them, but are still in preliminary stage. They learned about costs and animal requirements. No pressure. Very positive experience for the kids.

The staff is friendly, attentive, very knowledgeable, fair, and honest. They will tell you if a fish won't work with your existing tank or if you are adding too many at a time. It isn't about making the most money for them; it's about what's best for your tank. Hillary and Jeff were fantastic.

Staff is very knowledgeable of pets they have in house and are very helpful with in store purchases. Prices are at and in most cases below competitors. I only buy my feeder crickets (hybrid)from this place as they live up to 4 times longer and are cheaper than the other pet stores. They also teach you what to feed and how to maintain the crickets in order to maintain the health of the pet you are feeding them to. I would highly recommend giving Gary's Pet Jungle a chance. If they can't help they can recommend someone who can.

Stopped in today to find something to save my classroom's sick fish. Instead of just selling me products that may or may not have been helpful, Gary asked me some questions, suggested I bring a water sample, and took the time to analyze the sample right away upon return. I appreciate the customer service, his obvious expertise, and the clear explanation on how to give "Burt" the best chance to pull through. This was my first visit but will definitely not be my last! I've been coming here for years. I love it Gary was nice super helpful and the two ladies that were there were great help, very careful with the fish too, but there was this guy who seemed as if he was trying to get us out of the store quickly and was very rude to the fish. Overall I love this place.

Great example of how to run a small pet business the right way. The staff are knowledgable, passionate, and helpful. Usually these small shops are pricey, but the price ranges are actually very reasonable. Many of their live pets are actually cheaper and in better health than you'd find at the big box pet stores. Fish selection is also great given the small space they have to work with. You aren't going to find every supply you need here because the store is tiny, however if you are shopping for fish or a small animal pet, this is the place to go. After a few visits to most of the pet stores in town, Gary's is my new "go-to" for my aquarium needs.

This little shop was so helpful to my husband and I we have a baby boa who refused to eat and with Gary’s help and advice our little baby ate within an hour😊 I would recommend this place to anyone if you have reptiles. Thank you guys so much again!!! We will definitely be visiting you guys again.
