Awesome selection! If you are a saltwater enthusiast you are going to LOVE this place! I can't believe that my wife and I have been making the 2 hour round trip drive down to Milwaukee for many years and we never knew about this store. I really can't say enough good things about the helpful staff and the incredible selection. If you need a new fish or tank or corals this is the place to go. We were there yesterday (1/25/2019) looking to find a clownfish and we had anticipated having to go to multiple stores around town. Once we got into Best Fish we were happy to find EVERYTHING we needed under one roof. Thanks to the staff! Keep up the good work. 😁

Best Fish is by far our favorite place to buy our saltwater critters! Always great service and prices to match! 1/8/23...back for more, snagged some awesome mushrooms frags for $20 each. And, my husband and I were just discussing, we've been in and out of the hobby over the years but we've been buying saltwater from them since 1997...25 years!!!

Went there to find a betta. Unfortunately they are kept in tiny bowls(maybe a pint or less?). There was one dead one and many of the already tiny bowls were only half full. Also some were covered in green algae. Absolutely awful conditions to keep a living thing in for more than an hour. The rest of the tanks weren’t much better. We left without a fish as hard as it was to not save one of them.

Every time I make the trip I somehow find myself with more and more things from this store! Any question or concern I have is always answered in a non condescending, enthusiastic way no matter how dumb I may find my question. Their selection is fantastic and the only problem with their coral I’ve found is that the prices are always too low for me to resist. The only thing that could make this place better would be for it to be closer to me!

This is by far our favorite fish store because they always have the most beautiful fish, the best deals, friendly staff plus they have everything u need to start or maintain a salt or freshwater tank. We found this store while we were out looking for some new fish and coral that was within a 2 hour drive and we ended up leaving with a new 125 reef tank because of the great price on it. now we just enjoy taking a road trip to stock the new tank with more amazing looking fish as well as some cheap clean up crew. Serriously though this store can't be beat in my opinion, it may be small inside but between the price, selection and nice employees how can't u love it

I love this store, every employee in that store is very courteous and knowledgeable in the aquarium hobby. It’s fortunate to have them in the neighborhood because I can always count on them to get me what I need or help me with any problems or hurdles in the hobby, plus their Salt Water “pond” is a true sight and a hidden gem in the downtown area. Definitely worth a visit weather you’re a seasoned keeper or just looking to get into the hobby.They have very unique species and a great selection

They had a good selection of fresh and saltwater fish and corals but there was some dead fish in their aquariums and they had some corals that didn’t look so good and one was already fully bleached

Knowledgeable staff nice variety of fish and coral and from my experience they have always been healthy from this store. My nems doing very well that i got from here but there is no sign on the store front kinda hard to tell.

Prices are 2-3x higher for normal things like fish food. A majority of the fish tanks filtration systems are connected to each other. This means a sick fish a few tanks down could affect the fish you are looking at, even if they are not in the same fish tank. The fish you are looking to purchase could still be sick, even if there are no obvious signs. The water filtration being all connected means ever fish tank connected could easily get infected. For example, a new shipment of fish are put into a tank. You notice the fish seem to have a sickness. A fish a few tanks down that is connected to the same filtration system will be sick in a couple days, even though the fish seems perfectly heathy/ not in the same tank as the sick fish.

This place is amazing. It was recommended I check this place out after talking with a few local reefers. I was not by any definition of the word disappointed. Their marine livestock selection is unlike no other in the area. I've had some algae issues on my sand bed, and decided to pick up a couple sand sifting gobies to help out with that. In just the 48 hours they've been great! The people there were super friendly, and their fish looked well taken care of. Though hopefully they get a little more of soft/LPS coral selection in the future :). Nonetheless I was incredibly impressed with this place and will absolutely go back. While I hate driving downtown, I was surprised how easy it was to find/get to right off of the highway.

Great place to go for all of your fresh & salt water supplies.. Great selection on tropical fish, The guy Trevor really knows his fish.. He was really knowledgeable on what fish can be placed with others..Over all it was a great experience.. I will be shopping there for all my Tropical fish needs...

I am super grateful for the knowledge and always helpful attitude of the people at Best Fish. I was freaking out on Sunday, but after they helped me figure out the issue and a solution, I felt better. Now, 2 days later, my little water-bound buddy looks SO much better and I am so thankful for that.

RIP Vermillion 😭 Staff is very friendly seemed knowledgeable made me feel welcome but, I bought three Baja sharks for my well established tank and they all died within a week . I bought 2 Red Cap Orandas for my other tank and 1 of them died. The next day they replaced it and the replacement fish also died before I got to put it in the tank. The one that actually lived through all the madness has finally died when I added a Bubble Eyed Goldfish to the tank. The Bubble Eye Goldfish has Black stuff all over him. He still alive though but I don't know how long he's going to last. I Treated all of them with Melafix by the way. I will not give up on Best Fish though it could've of just been a bad batch due to the Covid-19 Virus and the quarantine. Their aquarium plants are really great for those who likes planted tanks.

Cool store only thing that I do not like and feel a is a little unfair is that they offer 0 returns what so ever. I bought a tank and wanted to see how it fitted on my desk, turns out it was too big and wanted to return it. Nope, can’t do that, tank never had water in it ect. If a business is going to do that, tell the consumer!!

Best fish is one of the best fish stores around. Prices are very competitive to online pricing and you get it NOW which many times in the hobby is required. I always call and get someone on the phone asap who is willing to check inventory while you hold. Fast, knowledgeable, and friendly service!

As a beginner, I bought supplies here and it has been a solid 1.5 years, no complaints, and staff are very helpful.I have a 20 gal with some freshwater fish: 2 Cichlasoma, 3 blood fin tetra, and 2 guppies. I recommend the tetra and guppies!In stock is very durable fake plants which I love. The fish are good quality as well, only 1 casualty so far. However likely due to a lack of hiding places so it got stressed right after I got the tank in the first place.

Been coming here for years from when they use to have a nurse shark. Bought a fish here but it died. Brought it in with a sample of my water. ( they have a no refund policy on live fish) My water was high in nitrate but the owner was nice enough to give me store credit. I’m happy with that. They also have a Great variety of fish! And products to choose from.
