We were making our way through Wisconsin from Fargo and stopped to grab some lunch and saw they sold disc golf gear. Went here after lunch and they had a great selection for not being a pure disc golf store. The owner (I assume) was fan f'ing tastic. Definitely stopping by when I make my Wisconsin trip next year. Good people.

Rory of Simple Sports is an example of a shop owner who goes ABOVE and BEYOND for his customers! Even for one who he knows will never be a repeat customer. I had been searching locally and across Canada high and low for a specific Giant bike for my son. No stock anywhere, Noticed on Giants USA website they listed the exact bike I was after in stock at Simple Sports, Menomonie, Wi. Looking up where this city was, I realized we would be passing through there in 2 months time on our future family road trip to mountain bike in North Carolina.I called the shop, spoke to Rory and asked would he sell a bike that seemed to be a very limited stock Giant bike to a random stranger from Winnipeg Canada over the phone? Rory was fine with that and ok with letting the bike sit around post purchase in his store without pickup for 6 weeks.Rory then was so accommodating and went out of his way to allow me his personal cell # to phone and meet us after store hours on the day we drove through on our road trip to ensure my 8 year old had his new bike. The man was all smiles and so happy to see a kid get his bike even if it meant rescheduling his golf game he had planned that night. How many shop owners would do this for a random non repeat customer?! Not many.Great looking bike shop. Pleasant and gracious owner who gets it! If you get a chance to grace this store you won't be disappointed.Thanks again Rory. Blown away by your generosity. All the best.

We have purchased 5 bikes from Rory, used bikes up until our most recent purchase of a new one. We also get our skates sharpened here in the winter.Rory always gives us great service. I love that we have his expertise and home town store so close to home.

Needed a chain replaced on my son's bike. Called Rory to set up an appointment. He was quick to get me in and even quicker at replacing the chain and getting the bike back into action. Very affordable and great customer service. I will be back for any future tuneup needs.Just an FYI: During this season appointments and masks are necessary.

Worst follow up service I've experienced in a while. My friend bought a bike there, broke a crank bolt shortly after (crossthreaded when it was built) wouldn't repair without charging. Charged me for a used bolt. Riverside in EC was great, fast, friendly, knowledgeable, gave me the new bolt I needed. Im happy to make the drive to Riverside for such great service.

I would give Rory another star if one was available. Nothing but good things to say!! He took time out of an already busy day to figure out the best options on a bike purchase and had it ordered... and in a handful of days had the bike there put together,setup and ready to roll !

I had my bike repaired here and will never come back. My bicycle needed a tune up and I had new brakes that I wanted installed in front and in the rear. The front brake was not correctly adjusted, and the brake couldn't operate properly without being unlatched. The rear brake appeared fine, but about a month after picking my bike up, the rear brake cable snapped. I brought my bike in to a different bike shop, where they were shocked to hear that my bicycle had been repaired just a month ago. Unlike most (good) bike shops, Simple Sports does not look over the whole bike when doing a repair, and does not check to see that the bike is functioning properly before returning it to the customer. My bike was also fairly dirty after a year of use, but they didn't bother to wipe it down while working on it. I was also interested in buying a bike for a friend, and they tried to sell me a used "Schwinn from Walmart" that hadn't been tuned for $100, a ridiculous price for a bike like that. I will never bring my bicycle back to Simple Sports- they actually damaged my bicycle more than they repaired it.

Simple Sports is the best local sporting goods store in Menomonie! Rory has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to bikes and disc golf and his shop is a great place to visit in historical downtown. Always a great experience.

Pleasure to do business with. After an accident left the front wheel of my friend's bike all bent out of shape, I brought the bike in for repair. Rory checked it all over, replaced the rim, and my friend is happy as can be. Thank you very much.

We had bikes come into our shop that Simple Sports charged $60 dollars for putting together even though they had failed to check the tightness of the wheel bearings and the bottom bracket bearings that dearly needed checking. Bad show.

I had an emergency flat tire on my bike, and they got me back on the road in no time! Even though they are technically closed on Sundays, the owner often hangs out in the shop, so try calling ahead to see if he's in.That was the most expensive inner tube I have ever bought, though.
