I was loooking to be proactive and avoid a emergency service call as I was at the end of the life of my old HVAC system. Through pricing around, I liked that hurlburt is committed to helping customers if there is a break down of the new equipment. They came in and installed in one day. Did a nice job cleaned up very well and so far it has been working good. The installer Cody macaher was very polite and personable and did very good work. Sales man Jordan was very informative and helpful!

When we reached out online about our air source heat pump not turning on, the process of requesting an appointment was easy. We were then contacted via text message within a short time with an offer of an even more convenient time for us. When our technician, Trevor, arrived, he did a great job! He performed a thorough assessment, presented us with our options and completed the work we chose. They provided a comprehensive furnace inspection and tuneup that was thorough and timely. I love that they notify via text when the technician is on his way along with his history and picture. Dan S. was courteous of our home and left it very clean. He explained things as he went along and answered my questions with a smile. Last week we had Dave Buscherfeld in to help us to work on (recurring issues with our new humidifier/dehumidifier system) he came in did the work but unfortunately he did not communicate anything to us. When he left just after noon, we thought he went for lunch but he was actually done. Needless to say we were surprised to see our furnace room and all the added duct work with no explanation as to how we are to get to our hot water heater if needed (see pic) or how to regulate the humidifier on the thermostat.Overall we like Hurlburts. Unfortunately some are better communicators than others………..Service: HVAC system maintenance

Our AC quit blowing cold and the unit was running constantly. Hurlburt sent a technician out to diagnose it. He hooked up a tablet and some probes to the unit. When he was done diagnosing, he informed us that our AC unit was too small for our home. At first I thought this may be correct as the basement had been finished and a sunroom was added since this unit was installed. But it had been working fine for the past 4 years when those additions. I talked to some friends that had used hurlburt and found out that they too were told their units were too small. I got thinking that I never saw the technician hook up any pressure gauges, so I checked for pressure at the Schrader valve. There was no pressure (refrigerant) in the system. Had a local company come and inspect, found out there was a hole in one of the refrigerant lines which caused it all to leak out. Hurlburt quoted us around 10k to install a larger ac unit and furnace. Ended up getting the system repaired for a fraction of that. When we called hurlburt to inform them that we in fact did not need a new unit as they diagnosed, they didn't seem to care. I thought they could at least refund the diagnostic fee. Their sales team and installation team may be great (I have never used them) but from my experience and that of others that I talked to, I would get a second opinion if their service tech tells you that you need a larger unit.
