We were given a cat with a medical condition when our friends couldn't care for him. Hoof & Paw was his previous vet and tho they knew we likely would be moving his care to our own (much closer) vet they took the time to go over his condition with us over phone and again in email so that we know everything we need to know. Really professional and we're super grateful!

We travel for a living, and I had made an appointment, then was transferred to another state. I called this vet to get my 17 wk old puppy in for 2 shots and a quick check-up. They stated they were not taking new clients. The girl was extremely rude, but I still explained we would be moved before her next vaccinations, and she was a rescue and blind.... it would be a quick one-time thing. They refused again..... then had the audacity to take my co workers dog the following day!!!!! I will be stopping there to speak with them as well. So very rude and a slap in the face! I'll never say a good word about a facility that doesn't have decent customer service, and this one does not!

Took my dog there she was sick. I appreciate that they seen her early. They did save her life. But knowing I was on a budget the vet quote prices and what I thought would be around 1100 service was 1500 dollars. He kept on doing tests no calls just charged my account. Didn't ask if we could do it just charged. Gave me two cans of food and a bag wich I didn't ask for and charge a additional 60.00 this was a span of 3 days that took her back and forth. He said he didn't have hospital service and I needed to take her back and the technician would give her fluid and then I went to pick her up on the last day and he said a charge for hospital service. What? I was livid no calls just charged me for stuff didn't ask for and didn't ok. Not ok! I'm mad would not recommend them. Never again!

Hoof and Paw has been so good to my pets. Dr. Amy was so compassionate when my dog recently needed to be euthanized. I highly recommend them. It's a busy practice, so make routine visits well in advance. I have had good experiences with more urgent matters, as well.

Been going here for years and trust the Vets completely!! We drive 30 miles one way just to see them. Could go to a closer vet but really don't want to!! Highly recommend Hoof and Paw!!

I was running late, because My cat 🐱 Smokey decided to escape outside right before we had to leave for the Vet. They were very understanding and got Smokey in the room right when we got there. The vet was very careful and gentle while checking Smokey's hair, body, and while giving her the rabies shot. She even gave Smokey some Cat treats to snack on. I would definitely recommend Dr Richelle Ackerman for all of your pet's Vet care needs.❤

We had to put 2 aging dogs down in 1 month. The first visit went as well as loosing a family member can be. She was very gentle and understanding. Then when we had to put our 2nd dog down due to terminal cancer, we were not informed that they we NOT going to give her the medicine to ease the pain before. Just gave her the euthanasia medicine. She left this world scared and in pain. I am so devastated I couldn't do anything I was helpless. The cherry on to is I had to pay for it.

Dr. Amy was fabulous. Our regular vet was too busy to see our sick dog and Hoof and Paw said they could see her as an emergency. We will now only work with Hoof and Paw with our pets.

Super helpful when I was a mess. My four week old kitten was barely alive when I took her here after hours. They did all they could, sent me home with great information and were 100 percent honest with me about her condition. After hours of spending time at home she unfortunately passed, but I felt that they did everything they could. They also equipped me to deal with whatever came up. I should say I was walking snotball, crying, and beside myself, and they were very good to me as well. I would take any of my animals here.

Always so kind and helpful, answered the phone at 2 am after my dog ate some onion. If they are on call they always pick up. Use 3% hydrogen peroxide if the vet is not immediately available. She puked it all up in under 15 min and is back to her normal self after a few hours. Fantastic vet!

The Hoof & Paw staff are wonderful! Everyone is friendly and competent. I've worked primarily with Dr. Wodak and she literally saved my aging dog's life with chiropractic adjustments. My dog went from barely being able to walk to pulling on the leash during walks, urging me to go faster. I so highly recommend these folks!

My cats were sickly and lethargic from food poisoning the day before.Emergency clinics wanted $700 for a consult.I called Hoof & Paw at 7:55 am hoping an urgent care appointment would be more affordable. They answered and told me to bring the cats in right away. 10 minutes later my cats were being diagnosed and treated.Hoof & Paw was respectful of my budget, and at the end of the day I took home two happy & recovering kitties for less then half of what emergency services would have charged.The vets and staff at Hoof & Paw are a class act and will be receiving all my future business.

Extremely negligent. Our cat was not very old when we adopted him and this vet ran tests twice and claimed he was fine both times. He got worse very very rapidly and my bf and i did our own research for DAYS on what the lab results meant & he was stage 3 kidney disease at the time of the *second* test. We called and let them know he was stage 3 kidney disease and might be getting close to 4 and they immediately offered euthanasia; we had to ask for appetite stimulants to try and save him because they never caught onto his kindey disease while it was reversible. The medicine didnt work because he was too far along renal failure for medicine to help and we had no choice but to let him go. We could have gotten him medicine immediately after his second visit if the vet had picked up on it instead of leaving college students to look at his chemical levels and figure it out alone. His life would have lasted longer.

They care so much.. They are Close.. Two blocks from me....for my animals that hate the car..n carrier to get there, even for that short of a distance it's great for all of us. I'm in my 70's n recently in this last ugly storm. Icy n snow mix...I needed them to come and get my 75 lb. Chocolate lab from my home. He couldn't walk, it was slippery n he's too heavy for me to pick up at my age. Dr. Nick was on call...I waited until I thought he might be up to get ready to go to work..I had a few leftover pain pills from one of his previous problems.....I thought he'd broken his shoulder.. he chased something in the middle of the night..I in have possums n feral cats at times...It Ended up being an abscess from a cat bite...lI thought he broke his shoulder jumping down the steps. Longer story... But he, Dr. Nick, came and picked him up..a fee, but needed to be at my age and disability I have.... They kept him for about 7-8 hours and within a bit over a week, even at 11 years of age.... Benner was jumping off the 4 steps to the pen (with a bird feeder) chasing the squirrels away... Which he's been doing all his 11 years.... Ya think he'd learn n save his Mom some sleep in n worry! Another Long story, but they are there when you need them. Plus, thru know me by name when I walk in...3 cats, 1 dog.... My children!Wow, I wrote a book! At least a chapter of one... So many caring Vets and Techs... The place to go for sure.

10 yrs in town and all my pets go there( except my reptiles.) Never had issues. Dr. Amy and Dr. Nick are usually the ones to treat or do check ups. They have never tried to up sell/push procedures like the other office in town while ignoring the real issues of the pet. Straight forward and the don't give up trying to find a remedy to an issue. Even if they are abit high in the pocket they are worth it to me.
