I went to this store on 4/12/24 and bought two pairs of tennis shoes (Fila=$39.99 and Addidas=$90). The Fila has no issue, but the Addidas was dirty(Both bottom), and has no tag on the either side. It's cleared that someone has worn this pair of shoes, but it's the only size that fit me and I needed it. Therefore, I asked the sale person who was working there and showed her. She also agreed that it must be a returned for sure and agreed with me. I asked to talk to the manager and see if I can get a discount on this pair; She replied, "I'm the manager, I cannot give you any discount on it and walked away." I was so surprised to hear her tone of voice and witnessed her attitude toward me as a customer.I don't know whether this review will ever reach Dunham's top management or not, but if it does, I want them to answer these questions. Does a 5% discount really make that big a dent on your profit? Is it that difficult to find a customers caring manager to work for you? Do you ever realize that you exist because of your customers?

I had a wonderful experience on June 22nd. I was looking for volleyball shoes for my daughter. We asked for her size in a pair she liked. The person working brought out those shoes and two others in her size that weren't on display so she could see those as well. It has been awhile since I've gone to a store and had someone go above and beyond to provide excellent service. I was thrilled my daughter got an excellent pair of shoes and I asked the person working in the shoe department what their name was because the service was so great. He said his name was Keegan. Keegan is a fabulous employee and I'm so thankful he restored my faith in retail. It's wonderful to know there are still some people out there who really care about their customers.

I like going here. They have a decent selection of mid range sporting goods. The staff is helpful and somewhat knowledgeable. There is almost always an online coupon that you can use to take 10-30% off of your purchase. I have brought bike accessories, kayaking accessories, work out clothes, athletic shoes, boots and winter outer wear here. On the rare time that I have had to return something, it was no hassle.

I went to buy a trampoline I had a coupon. It expired Saturday and I went Sunday. I honestly thought the coupon was good through Sunday. Who runs a coupon just Friday and Saturday ? I’m big into supporting small town business so I prefer to buy local. The manager wouldn’t honor the coupon. I’ve been in retail for over 25 years and we have always honored a coupon within a day.. or at some places even later than that. It was my mistake however the manager was unapologetic and rude. I won’t ever go back there. I’ll find a different local business to support. Or I’ll order online..and with this mentality all store fronts will soon be out of business, which is pretty sad....you lost a good customer today I have 4 kids in sports...

We came back for shoes. This store has so many shoes to consider, of all possible varieties for sport and casual wear. We found several pairs on sale that she liked and it was difficult to select just one. But she did. She also found a pair of hiking pants like ones that she had purchased a few months ago. This was a different color and on sale so we had to buy them too. Great place for great stuff!

The selection is pretty vast, with nearly any broad sports-related offering you could hope for, but the prices tend to run a bit high. The products tend to be of pretty good quality but for someone just getting started it could seem a bit oppressive, as the main entrance greets you with high-walled clothing displays. The remainder is a mix of impressively tall stacks to standard clothing racks, which if you're going in knowing what you're looking for won't bother you but a casual shopper may get overwhelmed. Also the dying mall it is attached to is incredibly depressing, albeit no fault of theirs.

Purchased a Christmas gift and 2 pair of snow pants for our Grand kids. The Snow pants did not ring up on sale as posted as a 2 day sale item. Little frustrated but the store manager promptly made the adjustment and apologized for their mistake.

My husband bought me a pair of shoes there for Christmas. I drove 25 miles to exchange them for a different size. I didnt have the receipt, but I had the date of purchase and the credit card he purchased them with hoping they could look up the purchase for me. They told me they cant do that anymore unless i had the exact amount of the original purchase and basically couldn't help me. Have to drive 25 miles back home, look up the total amount purchased on my credit card statement, drive 25 miles back to store to exchange shoes for 1/2 size bigger. Will not purchase anything from there anymore.

I'm a law enforcement officer in Minnesota and I drove a few hours to the Menomonie, WI Dunham's sports. I called ahead to make sure they had the revolver in stock that I wanted to buy, they did. When I arrived to buy it I was turned down because according to them, they can only sell to Wisconsin residents. If that is your store policy then you should write that down somewhere. The reason you have customers fill out the background check is to ensure they can purchase a handgun. I have the credentials to do so and did not enjoy wasting 4.5 hours with my drive time and having to deal with the store. I figured this would be easier than buying online and having the gun sent to my FFL, wrong. The same deals are available from other companies online so I'll be taking advantage of that next time.Also when I got to the store they had a sign that any firearms purchase will charge and extra $10 for the background check. I had planned on buying 2 and they told me they would charge me twice. Kind of like paying double for gas because there are 2 people in the car.

I always liked this store, always spent good money there also. I was about to purchase a dune buggy from their store after I won some money betting boxing. I sat in the buggy and was instantly screamed at to get out. I felt very discriminated upon and left. I will never go back.

For those in the Menomonie area, please make sure that you know Dunhams sports policies before you shop there. I went in there yesterday and purchased a gift on sale for $239. Which ended up being $115 dollars more for the exact same item at walmart (same brand, same box, same model #1. If you chose debit on the cc machine when paying, dunhams doesnt know how to refund your $ to the same card. Everyone else does, just not them2. If your return is over 250$ they cant give you cash back at the store. You have to wait for corporate to mail you a check, which could take up to 30 days. Now, if your item was 239 like mine, the tax part of your refund makes it 253... so, you have to wait for the check.3. Please remember you no longer have the item, as they took it and you get to just hope your check comes in the mail. Not sure what i am supposed to do if the check doesn't show up. I went on their web site today to find a phone # for corporate in case the check doesn't come.... there is no phone # availableEven if we would have paid in cash, we would not have gotten a refund. I have spent years in customer service, and usually don't judge a business by one bad experience. But.. this was enoughI have for years gone to dunhams to get the kids shoes. Knowing if i drove to e.c. i may save $10. But, it was a local business and it was more convenient. Now that i know their policies (which are crazy considering other businesses) i am pretty sure i will not shop there again

Really need to train your staff.. fleet farm was more then happy to answer my questions and got my $600 instead of your staff who said I don't know and turned around ..to finish talking to the other person who works there
