Prices were 45 cents more than what was advertised on the shelf. Lady said they haven't changed the pricing yet and she had to much to do to worry about it. Took 3 mins for her to come up and confirmed the price difference. Was pretty rude when I pointed out I was over charged almost 4 dollars on 25.00 worth of purchases and then said there wasn't anything she was going to do about it. So I left thing there and said you can restock everything I'll shop somewhere else. She called me rude . I won't shop there anymore.

Its okay 👌 its just like any other dollar general. You hardly see the employees now that they have self checkouts which are kinda not the best. They need to keep the shelves stocked also. But its a dollar store. And you get what you pay for..

Sat Oct 14 I was in store ran n ran bell at counter to check out ..because I had cash only. Noone came ran it 3 times ..disorganized clerks boxes everywhere and no service .sucks ..but they can be in front smoking ..bad service f- rated

Updating my review from 4 yrs ago from 4 stars to 1 as this store is never open for 1. For 2 I counted 8 workers in the store last visit with 15 customers in line at 2 registers ringing gthe bell and no one came up. Customers were walking out. Customer service people come on!

Was much more organized than the last time I was in there. Had I written a review from the last time I was in there it would not have been a very good review but the store now is very pleasant to shop in much more easier to find things and easier to get through the aisles. I don't know what they changed, but it is a big improvement.

This store has really come together recently, not sure when all of it started to change exactly but I definitely noticed the difference. The store is more organized and cleaned up. There is always a good energy and good vibes when I walk in. The young men that work here are GREAT and I enjoy seeing the progress they have been making up at the Menasha Dollar General...

Nice local place to shop for cheaper items. They have a wide array of items in store. Recently expanded the cold and frozen foods, which is nice. Not everything is a dollar but the prices are really reasonable considering. They carry many name brand items all throughout the store. They also have their own store brand as well.Typically have to find an employee (when its slower) or wait while only one person cashiers. I like stopping in here because the employees are generally nice and easy to talk to.

I use to love this store. The employees are rude. One lady rolled her eyes at me, I was friendly on a question, sorry you have to do your job. Came in several times same few ladies being rude and snotty. It's your job to help customers out. If you hate your job quit please!! Sad that employees act the way they do nowadays. You lost my business forever!!

The staff is very helpful. They have their own store brands, and if you use Gain detergent or scent booster especially, it's half the price of the Walmart brand, and it smells better too! They even have midnight breeze scented generic Gain! You won't be disappointed! Their curtains are the same price as Walmart as well, but they look much classier!

I needed whole tomatoes and the shelf was empty. They put things on the shelves as they get them but who ever delivers their products are always late.Other than that I love the store...!

I absolutely love coming to this store on Appleton Rd. The cashiers are always very nice to me. There is this one specific woman there (I forgot her name) but she always tells me about all the sales and directs me towards anything I may be looking for. If they dont have abything specific, she will show me the next best thing to what I was looking for. Amazing spot.

One of the most organized less cluttered dollar generals in the area. They now have a self checkout which is easy to use. They always have ad prices up on time and sales posted.

The store has both general merchandise as well as food.One minor thing that doesn't give five star is items can be out because supply isn't replenished until item is sold out and the inventory tracker submits reorder request.

Has most what you want for quick pickups, store is sometimes hard to navigate,Not local stores fault but home office designs.Prices are as advertised around $but have to understand carnot turn any kind of cash positive flow if everything just dollarBuying their brand of Cliver Leaf brand is ok but some items are packaged smaller, but that's their business mode.l

Very rude manager, rolled eyes and demanded for me to remove a case of water off of conveyor belt with no where to put my case of water because store was out of carts there was inly 5 ish carts available and they were all being used.

Went in to purchase a few items last night and the two women who were working were HIGHLY unprofessional. So disappointed. My girlfriend and I put our things back and left. My girlfriend is going to apply so it's a better store.

At 10:20 2/25/2018 I stopped in the store on south Appleton Road in Menasha. I was hoping to see Heidi the manager she is always so friendly. I stopped in grabbed a can of coffee and some K-cups, on my way to the register I heard the register bell ring. I came around the corner to see a lady standing there waiting for help. A store associate came up in a black shirt that said "Waupaca" on it with no name tag. The customer before me asked for a balloon. The store associate yelled "Sara" at the top of her lungs and had no further interaction with the lady wanting the balloon. The lady was clearly uncomfortable and mumbled to me "maybe I should just go somewhere else" The Associate engaged me and stated "I hate employees" at which point the lady who wanted to the balloon left rather abruptly. She was clearly uncomfortable and agitated by this rude associate, her attitude nearly caused me to put my items down and walk out as well. As I was contemplating this "Sara" walked up maybe 10 seconds later and said "what to do you need?" The associate said "never mind she left" Sara said "Who" The associate said "I'm not going describe her for you, some lady wanted a balloon and I'm the woman who cannot touch the balloons because I'm allergic." There was further tongue lashing of Sara but by this point I was just over it and sick of this behavior. I paid cash, refused my receipt and walked out the door. I sat in my car contemplating if I should go back into the store and ask this woman's name but decided instead to note the time, come directly home and write this email. I hope Heidi sees this, she is a little rough around the edges but she is awesome to every customer I have ever seen her interact with. This behavior is toxic to staff and to customers and I won't be back until I know this situation has been dealt with. I have been a retail manager and now the director and an ambulance service for nearly 14 years. This kind of person needs some serious peer counseling and management skills or needs to get out of retail all together. Dollar General runs a lean ship and its evident by how few staff there are and how many duties they are responsible for, this is no excuse for this kind of behavior....ever.

Came in for a clearance sale.. had to watch prices carefully because several didn’t ring up with the right discount. The cashier seemed annoyed about having to fix the prices. Couldn’t do basic math.. then didn’t honor the sale price on the item.

Like many other dollar stores has shelves lined with cheap knock off products, however Dollar General dose carry many top name brands. With cold cases and liquor it can be a place that once can make a quick stop rather than a gaa station.
