A great place to shop when you just need a couple of things and don't want to go far from home...wish they had fresh fruits and vegetables...since this post they did add in fresh fruits and veggies...now they pretty much have everything

This store has been our "go to" for the past 5 or more years while we camp near Mellen, Wisconsin. It was very disappointing this trip as it was cluttered, the floors, doors and windows were not clean, and we found the new, narrow aisles very tight and unwelcoming. We learned the former manager moved on to another job. A huge loss for this store. Doubtful we will shop there again.

Place has gone downhill since new management. Cluttered aisles, short on help, unswept floors, bathrooms out of order, bathroom without toilet paper. Used to be well kept up.

It's a great place to get your every day things. Good amount of things from food, medical, drinks,and clothes. You can rent movies from the Redbox machine outside witch is great. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Just a good store to pick up what you need so you don't have to go to Ashland or any other bigger town. The prices on things are responsible.

Very friendly and helpful staff, I asked were we could find some steaks to take to our rental cabin to grill, and the cashier, and some locals in the store offered tips and direction to a local meat farm!

Hard to beat the selection of a Dollar General in Mellen. Though the store does feel a little cramped as a large selection of items have been put on display, perhaps to take advantage of the very limited shopping opportunities nearby. If you're in need of something and you're traveling, this may be your only chance to find items not common to gas stations.

New layout is confusing and product is rarely on the shelf .your lucky to find a roll of paper towel on the shelf and your constantly going back and forth across the store to find the items you want .

It is was a good visit but I don't recommend riding 13 miles on a bike in the rain, that was not very pleasant
