Caring group who love to help animals find loving furever homes. We've adopted our past few dogs from there. We went to look at a senior beagle they had and ended up with not only our Shamus aka Jake but our Peanut aka Odie who we were told by them were afraid of most people & that he wouldn't even come up to them unless they had food. I asked for them to let him out from behind their desk to see how he interacts with our dog that we brought with to meet Jake well he jumped right up onto my husband's lap. So not only did we go home with Jake but Odie as well, Odie my shadow he loves to snuggle they both are the best loving dogs. They have lots of loving kittens who need love and care as well, we currently have a couple kittens who we are fostering. They along with other area shelters all are full of kitty cats that are in need of homes due to so many strays that were not spayed or neutered. Please remember there are low cost options like The Fix is In!

Found a female dog and 2 of her pups. It was easy working with the THS. Efficient, compassionate, thorough. Answered all our questions. Her follow up was fantastic and appreciated. We left confident the 3 exhausted dogs would be well taken care of.

These people cared when no one else would. I found a stray cat under a yr old. She was emaciated and sick. I called several people, and no one would help, but TCHS did. Thank you so much for being there!

My kids and I got Milo, our Lab mix from here. Couldn't be any happier. He is such a great addition to our family. He gets along great with our cats. Also like the exercise we have been getting with his daily walks. Milo will be 2 on May 23rd!

Nice but small establishment. On my visit to this humane society the people were very friendly, and there was a decent supply of cats. If you're looking for a little companion or have a problem with rodents it would be a great idea for you to drop in and say hello to your neighborhood shelter animals

Our barn have feral cats and strays. When they have kitties, I take them at 3 to 4 weeks and humanize and train them. I try to find furever homes, but sometimes I don't have any luck. TCHS hasn't taken the stray kitties and all have been adopted.😻😻😻😻

If I could give less than one star, I would. I adopted a 2 year old cat from here in October, and after having him for only a month, started noticing a swift decline in his health. He tested positive for feline leukemia, which he was never tested for at this shelter, which I found out after contacting both the shelter, and the Fix Is In, which is the vet that was listed on his vaccination paperwork. He also had a very bad case of roundworms, which apparently were never treated at the shelter either. This shelter knew he had been an abandoned cat that was left outside for who knows how long by his previous owners, and never had him tested for the common infections that cats can get from being left outdoors. This shelter also knew that he was going to a home that already had other cats. Luckily, the other cats I have have so far tested negative for the feline leukemia virus, and have been revaccinated so they should hopefully be okay. Since his diagnosis, he has taken a very swift decline, and is in the end stages of liver failure. I have done everything I can for this little guy, and have racked up over a thousand dollars in vet bills since his adoption. His health is continuing to decline though, and I most likely will have to euthanize him depending on how his next vet visit this upcoming Tuesday goes. If you do decide to adopt a cat from this shelter, TEST THEM for feline leukemia and roundworm right away. This shelter has most of their cats in a communal cat room, so who knows how many cats could be infected.

I wouldn't even know where to start I would not recommend this place to anybody we got a dog from there and then when we went back to ask for help with our animal she threatened to take the dog away from us I don't know what kind of people these are but they're not very friendly we were told that our dog had two broken Paws and they were x-rayed and fix after purchasing the animal come to find out they were still not fixed nor x-rayed and she had some kind of stomach virus don't let your kids get attached to the animals from there
