Steven’s rock shop is one of the last of its kind! While other “rock shops” in the area have turned into overpriced jewelry stores over the years, Steven’s has stayed true to its origins & I’m so thankful for that! Steven’s knowledge is astounding, his collections are impressive, his skills are amazing & he’s simply one of the kindest, most authentic & fascinating humans I’ve ever met! You can tell how passionate Steven is about what he does & he & his shop are local treasures that our community is so lucky to have! My go-to rock shop ALWAYS!

So happy I found this store! The variety of rocks, polished stones, & crystals was insane. So many unique pieces! And there was so much more than just rocks to look at; pendalums, necklaces, fossils, tarot cards, crafting materials… you name it, it’s here!I met the owner, and he was so knowledgeable while helping me find something I was looking for. Truly gave me the vibe that he loves the store and everything in it.The prices were fair, especially with the sale going on. Staff is helpful, and lets you browse without pushing you to buy.If you’re interested in rocks & crystals and near Madison, you have got to check this place out.It was like being a hippie witch in a metaphysical shop. Oh wait… I was!Oh, and there’s so much to look through, so make sure to set aside a few hours! You’ll definitely need it.

My wife and son are into rocks and gems. This store was recommended to us. Even though I'm not into that stuff, I was amazed by all the selections offered of polished, non polished rocks, fossils, jewelry, and much more in the store. Someone into the hobby could spend a lot of time there. The prices were fair, and the owners were very nice and knowledgeable, and you could tell they took great pride in the business.

Simply amazing. Steve has a great knowledge of all stones, minerals, rocks, etc. He knew a couple stones I should have that I didn’t know. Upon reading about them he got it exactly right. Those stones will help currently in my life.I was glad to take my time, and just look and admire. I am pretty sure there will be a stone for you.I need more space now to display my stones!

I found the most beautiful piece of labridorite while I was there! The people there were very knowledgeable and have an incredible amount of really cool things to look at! After talking with them a bit, the owner even showed us his work area where he has all the cutting, tumbling and lapidary machines! Was a very cool experience, will definitely be returning next time I'm in the area!

I have always loved going to Steven's Rocks but it had been awhile since I had been there. I finally made it there a couple weeks ago. I used to spend hours in the same area but this time I kept opening and closing the drawers right away because there wasn't anything I liked or everything was really expensive. I'm sure the prices reflect having to make up for the covid shut down and inflation, which is understandable. I did end up buying a couple cabochons and I really enjoyed talking to the person working. Also everything was a lot more organized than before. I will definitely keep supporting this shop, regardless of the negatives.

I love all things rocks. The gal in the store was very knowledgeable and was pleasant to deal with. I wish I lived closer. I did buy myself a few things. I couldn't resist. I could have spent a few hours in the shop but the husband may of got annoyed. :)

The owner is really nice. They're always very helpful. Make sure you bring a mask and wear it! Also sanitize your hands after walking in! They have a really good selection of random rocks, minerals, fossils and other misc stuff! Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

I could never stop speaking so highly of this store. First off, if you haven’t been here get in your car and take the trip, it’s seriously worth it. Steven’s collection is everything you can imagine and more, I’m talking hundreds if not thousands of boxes of gemstones to specimens to polished stones, you name it Steven has it. Secondly I need to thank Suzy again, she spent close to two hours walking around the store with me answering all my questions and teaching me about my stones. I am incredibly grateful the store allowed that and I can’t expect it every time but I am a forever customer now because of her and the experience she gave me.Thank you for making me feel so welcome to the rock community <3

Steven is so extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We spent hours going through all the rocks and crystals and talking to him about them. He showed us some absolutely amazing personal pieces of his and things he's found locally. His prices are rock bottom (haha, little pun there) but the products are amazing. So many different sizes and shapes and qualities and colors/patterns of more crystals and things than I can count.....i can't wait to go back and find some more phenomenal crystals.

They have an amazing selection. Their knowledge of each piece was impeccable. If you are looking for a wide variety of crystals, stones, and even fossils in a down to earth setting (no pun intended) this is the place to go. They have high quality at great prices. We plan on coming back even though it's a bit over an hour from my house.

Worth the drive from any distance to Marshall,WI to visit Steven's store. He has had this store since the 1960s--he must have been a teenager when he opened it. Steve has a variety of rocks and gems for everyone from kids on an allowance to longtime collectors. I especially like his small pieces of unusual and hard to find crystals, minerals and gems. They are high quality and the price is fair. He also has larger, rough pieces that are awesome. I especially like the rose quartz lamp that Steven made. He always has some unique carved stones also. You will find some jewelry and gifts, and even wooden display cases made by Steven. Be sure to check all the boxes and drawers for great finds. I have collected rocks for many years, and been to many Rock shops; if you are a collector, you owe it to yourself to visit Steven's.

What a hidden gem of a cozy boutiquesque shop! This store is absolutely perfect for both budding and experienced hobbiests in the rock tumbling and specimen collecting worlds! And don't hesitate to ask the owner any question you might have- he just loves talking shop! And if you're lucky, you might just get a little tour of his workshop! Steven's Rocks and Gifts has my complete 1000% recommendation!

You can drop in for a quick visit to buy a pretty thing to brighten your day, or you can spend hours poring over the many boxes of specimens to chose the things your personal collection needs.
