This is a great place for kids and adults. There is so much information you can learn about farming and crops, and all the different uses for crops besides just food. There are plenty of activities for kids to do like playing grocery store, a kinetic sand table, and toy tractors. You can also scoop pretend cow pies. We were fortunate enough to be there when a baby calf was being born! It was incredible. The cafe is also amazing.

We were at your facility on 4/21/2024, for the spring and baby event. There were two cows that calved, many adults and children were able to witness this miracle of birth. The cows were cleaning up their babies and then the calves were taken away from them. Just curious as to why the calves were taken away and not allowed to nurse. Thinking the children would have loved to see this part of the whole story too. My husband grew up on a farm in rural Denmark said they always left the calves nurse for a day or two, or is this just how it’s done today on the large factory farms?

We wanted to learn more about the area and the state since we were here for work and also wanted our 2 year old daughter to have fun. This place accomplished both! It is very cool and a great place to learn about the state and general agricultural knowledge. There are a lot of interactive exhibits and even toys and a coloring station for kids. When we went, they had a baby goat at the entrance and piglets you could pet near the maternal cow section. We spent a good 2 hours there, and our daughter was mostly engaged the entire time!

2 and under are free and Adults are $16 it’s a super fun place to take your little ones. It can be expensive if you take the whole family so plan accordingly. There is a cafe with food and drinks and a gift shop. I recommend avoiding those areas $$ but the entire building an experience. We went during an alpaca and llama expo and it was awesome. I have two kids and nanny for two more and i enjoy taking them after breakfast to play and explore. Our favorites include the kinetic sand, tractor simulator, and the birthing center but remember shhhhh… it’s a quiet time for the mama cows. They also have a corn pit to play in and so many more educational activities. I didn’t look into it too hard but I do recommend getting a family pass if you have kids older than two and plan on coming a lot. It’s around $145 per year depending family size. Check it out on the website.

BIG THINGS HAPPENING DOWN ON THE FARMIf you want to learn about farming, food cultivation, animal husbandry and everything in between, then this is the place to come. If you’re lucky, you could even watch a calf being born in the birthing barn. It’s definitely worth the price of admission. From ‘Field to Fork’ to ‘Common Ground’ and ‘The Cutting Edge,’ there’s so much to see and do here, so come prepared to spend several hours expanding your knowledge of this most important industry, without which we would starve! I’m so grateful to farmers who work 24/7 in all weathers to provide our staples.

Fun little stop on the side of the Hwy. Has a small cafe, gift shop and some activities that are great for people that are traveling with children. Very mom and pop operated, so some confusion with employees knowing how to prioritize or where they should be focusing. (Hard to get attention at the Cafe, and shaky communication on how/ where to pay for things etc. People are very kind though. Worth getting out and stretching your legs.

My husband & I visited here on our way home from a weekend in Green Bay. It was early March so little cold outside but they have a small playground at this very new attraction. Inside a small gift shop & diner are on first floor along w/birthing center where we did see Sophia a less then 2 hr old calf. There is also a small amphitheater & a life size cow you can milk. Upstairs (there is an elevator too) is filled with a large array of different types of farming & animal interactive labs for kids of all ages to try out. My husband really liked the 1 of 2 John Deere tractors you could drive through the field planting corn, harvesting, etc. We will be bringing grandkids here in the late spring or summer.

Cafe is open again! Made a trip back now that the cafe is open again. Homemade chicken noodle soup, yum! Food was great as always. Dustin, the chef, really does a nice job. Just like every other place they are short on staff so please be patient, it’s worth it. Of course we finished things off with ice cream too. 😄My daughter and I also went through the exhibits and checked out the cows 🐄 in the birthing barn since it’s been over a year since she was there. There have been a few play areas added so the little kiddos can play if the adults prefer to spend more time with the exhibits. Of course the popular kinetic sand station is still there. Also a little pretend grocery checkout station and toy tractors in the silo. The facility is very spacious and open, bathrooms are clean and there are at least six bathrooms in the main facility to choose from. It was also nice to see antibacterial gel stations throughout.

This museum is so nice. As an adult, I didn’t find it too interesting. But it is very interactive for children. I would say the coolest part is the simulator for harvesting crops. It is very well put together and very clean. They also had a birthing pen where there was a cow that gave birth while we are there.

Very very cool center that we were luck to have the chance to go to. Getting to see a baby calf born and teach my kids about what ranchers have to do for their animals was awesome. They had many activities for the kids to learn about farming as well, and a combine simulator you could drive.

The staff here is very welcoming, kind, and helpful. The interactive upstairs was very interesting and I learned a lot. It was very calm and quiet when I went on a Wednesday in January. I think it’s very important that we learn about farming here in Wisconsin and the food and other products that we put out into the world. Plus if you’re visiting from out of state, it’s important to note that they sell New Glarus in the gift shop 😉

A well designed museum! Very informative and interactive, great for adults and kids. Very spacious, easy to practice social distancing. Sells cedar crest ice cream, float and coffee.$16 per adult, thought it was expensive at first, but totally worth it! :)

Some elements of the place were fun, but seeing the cows locked in a glass box with only enough room to turn in circles was too sad for us. The poor cow was rubbing against the glass and trying to lick my son through the glass, it was obviously very affectionate. It would have been nice to see it spending time with its calf. Seeing the baby separated in its own isolation cage was heartbreaking. It was too sad for my child. They have so much space it doesn’t make sense that they can’t build an outdoor pen and make this a friendlier exhibit.

This was a great museum with many interactive elements to engage children and adults. You have the opportunity to see a cow give birth (if the timing is right). Additionally, the playground outside is large, unique, and full of equipment to tire children out.We visited on a October 2022 weekday and it was pretty quiet.I thought the price of admission was a bit high but I was satisfied with our experience. The facility also features a great restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was great. But again, I thought the prices were a little high.Overall, it was a worthwhile stop.

I loved this place it was a great experience as a place to learn and see things. Plus it has two simulated harvesters and real cow birthing place and you take a bus and tour a very large farm to learn more stuff.

We stopped here on our way home today because of all the cafe signs along the freeway and figured it was worth a look. The good:-Very kind staff-Clean-Some interesting exhibits (Kinetic sand, topography map!)-Great gift shopThe not as good:-Expensive for the amount to do in the center, and if you are only there for a short time/miss the farm tour. (However, I didn't mind because it goes to a good cause, but I did see a lot of folks leave because of it.)-No changing tables in bathrooms, at least up in the exhibit area, which is disappointing for a new facility geared at families.-The separate, cafe hours were not posted anywhere obvious when we came in (not on entry doors), so we missed our opportunity for actual food by an hour and had to go elsewhere. Had we known they don't serve until 5:00, we would have done the center second. Make sure to check the website, not the doors!Obviously, it is still very new, so hopefully some little changes will be made! We will be back.

They are not running the buses to the actual farm anymore, which was extremely disappointing when all the reviews about exploring the farm made us want to go. They have some interactive things upstairs to do but mostly just putting checker pieces in yes or no boxes and a tractor simulator. We lasted less than an hour and had read all the exhibits and unfortunately the cows they had that day had no signs of labor by the time we left. I wish they told everyone they have stopped the farm tour before you buy tickets because at 16 dollars a person with a big family this was an expensive disappointment.

Had a great time with a 3 and 4 year old in tow. Lots to see but not so much that it's overwhelming!

Me (age 52) and my son (age 21) visited on July 22. The cafe was closed because of short staff. The farm tour was not running; instead they have a video (If I wanted to watch videos, I'd go to YouTube). The displays were ho-hum, flip this over, turn that dial to read factoids. They have a tractor simulator where you can harvest corn for only a minute (enough to go down and back); the graphics are from early 2000s. Maybe kids would like some of the other activities. IMO - Not worth the $16 per ticket (adult), especially without the farm tour.

We stopped by the cafe for a quick bite on our way down south. Very good very good. The cafe was a one man show the day we were there and he did an AMAZING job! Great food, great service, great coffee. We got the BLT, grilled cheese, and a breakfast platter. The entire building is very cool, but the cafe itself is worth a stop.

FUN! Kids loved it. A little heavy on the text for each exhibit, but my 8,6 and 3 year old enjoyed it. Loved the bus tour of a real farm and the birth of a calf! LOVED the food in the cafe. It's restaurant quality. My son said it's the best pancakes he's ever had in his life :)

This is a gem of a place. I took my girls (ages 4 and 6) on a trip to Green Bay for winter break and we stopped here on the way. Ended up spending hours doing their fun STEM activities, looking at the exhibits, having lunch and waiting for a cow to give birth. Everyone was so nice and the facility is great...enough to keep both kids and adults entertained. I wish we lived a bit closer to enjoy more of their special programs but will certainly make another stop if we're in the area.

Our family had such a wonderful experience here today! We got to see a calf being born in the birthing center and my kids even got to name him, which made it extra special! Our children are 7,4 and 2 and we ended up spending 4hrs there. They loved the combine harvester simulation, the kinetic sand, bus tour, video on maple syrup and of course the ice cream! The staff is awesome! We learned so much and are looking forward to another visit in the future!

Awesome place! The facility has lot cool things in it to see. Even can drive a virtual tractor and harvest corn. Totally worth the stop. Especially for the kids. They even had baby goats you could hold and a new born calf while we were there was learning to first walk.

This was a lot of fun. My kids thoroughly enjoyed learning about farms here. The 3D sandbox, on the second floor, was a big hit. We also had the pleasure of witnessing a live calf birth. We thought we would miss it but they were nice enough to make an announcement to inform us to head to the observation area. The gift shop and Cafe were great as well. The food and ice cream was VERY good. All of the staff were friendly and informative. Will visit again soon.

So wonderful! I wasn't prepared to be as impressed as I was. Great presentation of agriculture importance. Many interactive displays. I really liked them myself but the children that were visiting loved them. I played the harvesting game. Harvested over 45 bushels. Didn't get to experience a calf being born. Not sure I really want to. Tour of the actual working farm was really something. Only disappointment was that the restaurant was not open. We wanted to have lunch there but had to settle for a cone. Ice cream was very tasty though. Worth the visit. I will go back and do recommend to all. There's something for everyone.
