We stayed here in December. If I am get this place a 0/5 stars I will. Stay away, it's so nasty and unclean. I usually let things go, however, this time I had the worst hotel stay experience. Poor customer service. The person at the desk got mad when we went and told her about the situation. About the beds being dirty. There was nasty cum or very nasty white color on the bed. Without being calm, she was very irritated and did not understand what we were saying. She was very argumentative. We showed her the pictures and she was just like under the bed? We told her no it's on the side of the bed. She started telling be about cleaning the rooms ect. I told her I'm sorry I do not work in this field, I am a guest and I'm paying for this room. My kids are going to be sleeping here and I'm not comfortable with the way the bed is. I don't want my kids sleeping on that or next to it. Then she all of a sudden says don't let your kids play under the bed. I told her it's not that they will go under the bed, the point is it's still part of the bed and it's nasty. The kid do not know any better and will sit in the edge of the bed. She allowed us to have a second room. We went to the second room and it was dirty as well. We went back and the person at the desk was very very very irritated this time. She said I don't think we have a room here that will satisfy you and you bought your room for a third party. In my head I'm thinking okay? So she's telling me to just leave and refund? I'm the customer, how does she expect me to know how this works. Then she goes off saying she worked at holiday inn and it isn't any better. She went to the second room to see what we were talking about, she said we don't wash that part or the bed it just covers the metal frame. It's not even that dirty. When I go into a hotel room I just look at the blankets. We told her if she wanna go see the room next door that we had at first it was worst. She said no then we went back to the desk. Finally we just gave up talking to her because she was just yelling at us and defensive. We just told her we will keep the room and ended the conversation.

The room had a smell to it that gave me a headache. I'm thinking the A/C unit needs a good cleaning. Room was tidy, but the sink needed a little better cleaning. The breakfast area wasn't maintained very well, had to ask for items to be stocked, tables were not wiped off, but the worse was a trash can that you had to touch the lid every time to open it to throw anything away. For obvious reasons that should not be in a dining area. Location is good. Staff wasn't overly friendly.

We stayed at the AmericInn in Manitowoc for several days in July, visiting family in the area. I loved this hotel! I used the pool and the jacuzzi several times every day. There were always fresh towels and the jacuzzi was hot just the way I like it. Barb, the housekeeper went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. Emily at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. And....we loved Janet, the breakfast attendant. I had several wonderful conversations with her. She clearly loves working at the AmericInn. It is so refreshing to see so many employees that truly care about their guest's experience. The hotel is near everything, restaurants, shopping, and the interstate. Whenever I visit Manitowoc and my family; we will be stayed at the AmericInn.

I'm very torn on this hotel. I called about an early check in, greeted with friendliness & that I could check in early, if need be. Upon check in, I asked if my card was only being used for incidentals as this was a work stay. The clerk just mumbled something about check in the morning. I checked my CC app & sure enough, pending room charge. I came back to the desk & another smiling clerk had arrived, other clerk was still there. Suddenly the mumbling clerk finally had an answer & changed the card. I always ask for this specific reason. The 2nd clerk was beyond friendly throughout the evening. The Jacuzzi room was just "ok" - air conditioning wasn't very cold. I had to keep pulling the top of the tank off the toilet to get it to flush & not all of the lights worked in the room. Carpet, super old. And why is the dial for the Jacuzzi on the other side of the room?Nearby activities: Many restaurants, gas stations nearby.

Room smelled a bit musty/mildewey, but beyond that, the front desk employees were awesome!!! I was with a couple of rowdy co-workers, and they were extremely patient, professional, and kind.The breakfast is standard, but they do tend to open up before the scheduled 6 am for those who leave extra early.

Very clean. Smells clean/fresh in every area of the hotel * loud chlorine smell on pool house to be expected with indoor pool* Very kind people. Indoor pool area with decent sized pool and hot tub. Arcade games, billiard table, vending machines and coin laundry ( the dryer was down 2 times during our week stay but the did call for maintenance both times.) Good breakfast waffles, cereal and bagels were the kids and my go to. My husband went after the bacon, eggs or sausage and cheese omelettes. They had other stuff too. Juices, coffee and hot chocolate. Housekeeping was super nice. Every other day you get new linens but the change out towels as often as we needed *kids don't think to hang towels* convenient to anywhere in the town *less than 10 mins to anywhere* yet off the main roads enough so to have very low traffic noise.Rooms: Very clean and mostly comfortable beds.

I am giving this hotel an EXCELLENT rating because absolutely everything was great during my stay. I am a Trucker and had the unfortunate occasion to have some serious truck trouble. Found a local shop to take care of the truck issues, and am so glad I came across this hotel which took care of the me issues. I was able to make a last minute reservation and was pleasantly surprised at how well my room was appointed. The Front Desk staff were awesome, I also interacted with several ladies on the cleaning staff who were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was spotless, breakfast selection was great. There are so many things that can add great levels of stress for anyone in business when encountering various problems or set backs especially when they cost, but staying at this hotel helped tremendously to ease my mind and give me an opportunity to take a breath. I was unable to utilize several other amenities like the exercise room and indoor pool but did see other people enjoying these things. If you are looking for a great travel experience in this area, look here first. Kudos to all of you for taking such good care of me. For the nightly price, this hotel was a great value! We had a whirlpool suite and stayed with our 10 month old son. When we arrived they had a pack and play set up in the room for us. The bed was comfortable and the room was large, and clean! The perfect place to spend a night with the family!

Staying at this hotel has been amazing. The staff is kind, and very helpful. I think they said good morning to me like 5 different times, but I didn't mind. The rooms were great and clean. Had an amazing time, and will defiantly be staying here again!

Great place to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again. Pool is nice, awesome breakfast, beds were comfortable and a stones throw away from all the resteraut and anything else you might need.(4 years later) Well, I said we would be staying here again and we did! Just as great as before! Great breakfast, beds and pillows are comfortable. Staff recommended going to a place called Briks for a burger which was a great place to eat downtown.The Inn itself is quiet, well kept and has a home like atmosphere with all the Xmas decorations and fireplace. 5 STARS.You will enjoy this place!!

I don’t understand how this is rated so highly. Our room at least was visibly dirty upon checking in. The shower is a disaster, the chair part cannot be raised out of the way all the way, the mat is absolutely killer on bare feet, and there are stains everywhere. Even one of the towels (all of them unused) had orange-brown stains on them. Look anywhere else if you value basic comforts.
