It's been a while since we stopped in at Phil's place and we sure have been missing out. Great quality produce, a huge selection of just about everything except alcohol and much, much lower prices than most anywhere else. Wear good walking shoes and remember where you parked!

Great grocery store. The fresh fruit and produce selection is fantastic. There is a wide selection for just about every item. They could really do with remodeling the checkout area. That is the one area that really gets blocked and difficult to navigate around.I really appreciate the selection and highly recommend grocery shopping here.

I take my mom in her wheel chair, we spend about 2 hours roaming the isles looking at everything new (to us?). Love that it is well lit and VERY EASY to get her wheel chair around!

The produce section is a massive letdown. Regularly find mold on fruits. Regularly find spoiled and expired items tossed in with the good stuff.This location has been under remodel for so long I can't remember a time it wasn't in bad shape.The flooring they have chosen is easily the loudest most jarring flooring I've seen in a grocery store. Your cart will clang and bang all over the place because they used this brick like floor covering with recessed grout lines that the wheels of your cart hit and make this clanging noise every step you take. What is strange is they were remodeling areas of the store with new flooring and they were putting in this same stuff.This place is always busy. It's because it's the closest grocery store to many people, right at a bus stop, I wouldn't choose to shop here unless they had incredible prices. Which they no longer offer enough savings to make it worth all the other things above for us.

If I am just wanting a few specific items, I tend to go to other grocery stores because Woodman's is so huge! O dont find it to be a quick in and out experience. However, it's a great place to go for ALL your grocery needs and the prices are the most reasonable to competitors. If I weren't so lazy sometimes, I'd go there even with quick stops. I wish there were a Woodman's located in Central Wisconsin too.

One of the best grocery stores I’ve ever been in! Such a huge variety of everything to choose from and well laid out. They have cashiers to help you check out or you can do it yourself. The self check out areas are nice long belts, where it’s easy to scan and bag.

Woodman's is my ride or die! I've been shopping there ever since I can remember. I know the store like the back of my hand. Best prices around, shelves are always stocked, and the variety is great. I've seen the same employees there for a long time, so they must be good to work for. I often contemplate putting in an application for third shift isle stocking, just because I love the store so much. Plus they are the only ones that carry the non dairy milk I drink. The only thing is that it can get pretty crowded in there, so I always go at night when it's dead.

I'm at the point where I can't stand coming there to that store. You do not present your vegetables and foods the way that you should! I've got meat that was bad I've gotten things that were outdated..I would recommend other Other woodman stores to my family and friends and not the one over off Milwaukee St..

Woodman's has the lowest prices, but it's always packed and the lines are long and slow. It's the single worst organized store in the history of grocery, not being cross marketed so much as placing single weird items in absolutely the wrong places. They inexplicably only accept Discover, a card very few use. They also (illegally) classify Kombucha as an ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE--though they don't keep it in the liquor store--and their IT people have programmed the system NOT to allow one to purchase it with food stamps. Iit is allowed at EVERY single other grocery store or food coop in Madison, which means they also lied to me when they said they have no choice regarding federal regulations; it's actually the stores themselves that program it into the systems and they are willfully and in right wing fashion enforcing this incorrectly.If it weren't for how much I save, I would probably not choose it over the hassles it creates.

So crowded. So chaotic. But if you need it; probably there somewhere 😂 just have to look alot more. FYI: even if you're just going to in to grab one item, take a cart. You will need it for self defense against the overstimulated and highly distracted shoppers 😜. "Excuse me" is in no one's vocabulary so good luck and think aggressive.

The beef area in the meat department is terrible compared to what it used to be. The pork, fish and chicken/turkey area expanded and the beef is half of what is was prior to remodeling. Not sure what happened

I give them four stars for selection it is the best in the state! Customer service is non-existent at the same time you can see they're so busy stocking cuz the place is so incredibly busy. If you're looking for a great selection without that small shop customer service then you'll be fine.

warning to all, please check the expiration date on the food. I went in to get some Lindor chocolate and I saw expiration date from 2022, I was only able to buy one bag that was soon to expire within few days.

Do NOT buy meat at this location. Twice in a week we have bought meat (hamburger and ribs) that were *supposedly* 10 days BEFORE the expiration date…. And BOTH were rotten. Hey Phil, if we’re ever poisoned from your mishandled/mislabeled product, we *will* be litigating. The quality of your meat and produce has literally gone down the toilet.

This store is always chaotic. Self checkouts are incredibly slow and often inaccurate. Floor is from the 70’s so it’s SO LOUD with all the carts clunking over the fake bricks. And customer service isn’t what it was. They also only take discover credit cards- not cool.

Went to Woodman's tonight SAT Jan 26th. 98% of their bacon spoiled. Brought examples to customer service they didn't seem to care. Lawyer up if anyone gets sick.

Always great prices!!! Only place I will get alcohol at and I order woodmans groceries every week 😋 always have the healthier options and better prices and selections!!
