Where do I begin….First I’ll say the only reason why I continue to shop at this location is because it is down the street from the house and convenient for med pick up.Tonight took me to the limit that I felt I need to leave a review. Every time I come here to pick up a prescription I always end up waiting 30 mins or more. I even wait a day so I know I’m not waiting for it to be filled.I arrive tonight to a line of 2 people in front of me. The First Lady took about 20 mins and I’m not sure why. There were at least 4-5 people working but only 2 seemed to actually be doing anything. There was definitely a line developing behind me but I saw 3 people be dismissed for the evening while I wait for the next customer who was waiting for a prescription still not in stock. In fact I heard about 3 people total being told meds were coming tomorrow. Definitely not something you want to hear.

Girl with the blue hair in pharmacy is awful and rude. Had 3 gallon jugs on me and thing in my hands so I sat down behind the other people in line. 2 others were sitting waiting as well and she called them up in order of when they got there. It was obvious I was in line and a man came infront of me and she didn't say anything. So I spoke up and said excuse me I've been waiting. And she looked me in the eyes and told me no one knows I'm in line if I'm sitting down. Even when the last two people she called up were sitting as well. Super rude and the way she talked back to me was rude as well.

This is related to the pharmacy. They are always, always slow. I think I've rarely ever gotten out of the drive up in under ten minutes. Yesterday, 1/26/23, I waited at least twenty minutes. A lady in an orange sweater with bob length blonde hair acknowledged me and then ten minutes later, a car that pulled up after me was serviced and I had to wait another ten minutes for my prescription. I'm sure I waited over twenty minutes as I was on the phone at the time. I also drove up last Saturday and had another extended wait. There has to be a better option. In addition to hiring more staff, if someone has a complicated issue, they should be put to the side by having one person dedicated to making calls to clear the issue rather than making everyone else with routine pick ups wait 20mn or longer. Disappointed.

THE MANAGEMENT TEAM AT THIS PHARMACY NEEDS AN INTERVENTION! The pharmacy at this Walgreens is the absolute worst. It took 10 hours to get an asthma inhaler refilled and this is normal. The only reason I got it in the same day is because I know with this Walgreens, I have to go up there and ask for it to get filled. A 2 day turnaround on scripts is common. It's unfortunate because there are some nice people that work there. Clearly the management team is at fault and they need to go. These problems have gone on for more than a year. How is it that Walgreens allows this to continue? Shame on you Walgreens ☹️

I hate leaving negative reviews, but after the last few experiences I have had at this Walgreens, I can’t say I would ever recommend it to anyone. People going to a pharmacy are often already experiencing stress, and this pharmacy just adds to that. I absolutely understand being understaffed, but you shouldn’t be made to feel like a burden for patronizing a business, especially in a time of need.

Takes at least 15-20 mins to pick up a ready to go prescription. Terrible pharmacy avoid at all costs. Waited 25 mins in line, picked up my stuff and got home to find they left out one prescription. Had to go back and wait again. Completely incompetent.1 year update - had to use them a few times on and off and somehow they are even slower! Close this or the monona store and fire the incompetent ones slowing down both stores. Only using the clinic pharmacy going forward to avoid this garbage fire of a company.

I have never had more issues with a pharmacy than I have with this Walgreens pharmacy. Not only do they regularly mess up my prescriptions, but they never order them when requested so I never get them on time, even when it’s pertinent that I do, but this last time I was given an old dosage as well as a new one so I paid for BOTH!! And once I realized it after walking away 20 feet (was not told there were two dosages of the same medication) I was told it couldn’t be returned since I walked away even though I was never informed that’s what I was getting even when I asked to clarify what all my prescriptions were. An absolute joke. Wish my insurance covered going literally anywhere else.EDIT: adding to this review because I once again am wishing my insurance covered ANY OTHER PHARMACY!! I went in today for 2 prescriptions. I was in a hurry so when I was eventually handed the prescriptions I simply tossed them in my bag. Got home to find out they GAVE ME SOMEONE ELSE’S MEDICATION!!! The worst pharmacy I have ever been to with the most incompetent staff.

One out of five times I had a pleasant experience here. All the other times it seems like the pharmacy staff hates their jobs and their customers. I've also noticed that they treat the people of color differently than white people. Their interactions always start more pleasantly than mine. The best thing to happen to me was my prescription accidentally got sent to the Walgreens down the street and I received some real customer service. Thanks! I'll never be back!

After a tough day, I went to pick up a new medicine for my 4 year old. The pharmacist was so kind. She expertly explained everything I needed to know, answered all my clueless questions without a hint of judgement, and even offered to change the flavor if it wasn't working for us. She knew it was a first time medicine for a tough situation and was so thoughtful throughout our short interaction. I could have hugged her.

The pharmacists are rude and hate their job. I got really sick so I scheduled my Covid test for 1 PM since my roommate takes care of his elderly father so he needs to know ASAP. I waited in line for 20 minutes and by the time I got to the window they told me I was late and they didn’t believe there was a car in front of me. Check your cameras, there was a tan Hyundai in front of me.

If I could give zero I would. This place - especially its pharmacy- needs an insane amount of work. No calls answered, nothing is filled, everything is and always has been insanely delayed. I’m sitting here in the waiting space, waiting for a COVID booster and everyone before has been told nothing is ready. I feel badly writing this but it is what it is. Ended up being so late for the rest of the days schedule, I had another appointment cancel on me.

The worst Walgreens I have ever been to by far. The staff is extremely rude almost every time. They will constantly cancel your appointment. They will mess up your prescription and enter your insurance information incorrectly and it will be an issue every time you try to go.

The pharmacy staff there is completely incompetent! I dropped off my prescriptions (total of 2) at 3:30pm and was told that it wouldn't be filled for about 30 minutes at best. So I left them there and went home since I don't live far away. I got a text message at 5:32 saying that my medication was ready for pick up. I get there and they couldn't find one of my prescriptions for nearly 5 minutes, plus they told me that they couldn't fill the other one because they lacked the quantity. They told me I should have gotten a text message saying that only one was ready, but that wasn't the case. Then the pharmacist told me that another pharmacy could fill my other prescription. I thought it was really kind of her, except she sent me to the wrong pharmacy and the correct one closed as I was on my way to it. I've gone to other Walgreens in Madison that have a lot more customer traffic in the pharmacy than this one and I'm usually out in 30 minutes. For this place I've waited an hour to 2 hours most times. Avoid this location at all costs.

I completely agree that the pharmacy staff is incompetent. That department's staff is the one and only reason I will never shop at Walgreens again. They don't answer phone calls, they don't acknowledge customers, and don't seem to care that they move slower than molasses on a cold day (and that's an understatement). I don't even think customer service is a word in their vocabulary. I've seen them make pregnant women cry and make elderly customers waiting endlessly. Don't even bother. Transfer your prescriptions to your local hometown pharmacy ASAP!

A lady working at this store had a remark that I am not happy about. My nephew came home from this store with stuff I ordered online with which I asked him to pick up. My nephew told me that this lady apparently said told him "I am going to staple this paper bag because I do not want you stealing stuff." My nephew told me that he was shocked to be told that he might steal stuff! Like what and why did she automatically think that my nephew would be stealing stuff? If she had that feeling, she could have just made sure to monitor the child on his way out. I honestly want to be angry and rush to the store but I know my nephew well. He will never do such thing. He goes to this store frequently and never did it occur to him to steal stuff. This lady will receive the come back she deserves.

Make sure to check the expiration dates when you buy over the counter medicine in this location. Once i bought baby vitamin D for over $32 and when i came home, realized it was expired, had to drive all the way back to return. What a waste of my time!!! The other time i didnt buy baby mylicone as it was also expired (all 3 boxes). Today i was looking at teraflu, two boxes had expiration in september and october 2021. Gladly, i found one that still had good dates. Moreover, when i mentioned that there are expired medicine to the tall lady cashier(forgot her name), she made unpleasant face and wasnt nice at all. Wow! One great thing about today's stop at this store waa to buy vitamins for buy 1 get one free promotion.

It shouldn't even get a full star rating. My experience is always painful, horrible, awful!!! I routinely wait over 20 minutes to simply pick up a prescription. Filling a prescription…..forget about it! I could spend half of my day there. I call beforehand (that’s a wait in and of its self) to ensure I can drive through and grab my prescription, I have been assure time and time again it is ready. Yet, EVERYTIME, I am waiting 20+ minutes…..WHY?!?!? I now am shopping for a pharmacy that is competent.

Lead pharmacist is very helpful, and follows up when you get stuck between insurance and your doctor's orders. Other times their seems to be an ever-changing group of pharmacists in-and-out: Seldom the same person the next time. I think that's why service is so up or down: totally depends on the pharmacist who is there.

Went here to get a PCR test for my flight that left the next night at 8pm. The lab hasn't completed it yet and they made me rebook it. Thanks a lot, Walgreens. CVS does it 24 hours, not 3 to 5 business days.

Ah, yes. Once again, the squeaky wheels have met themselves, in a small small-sample size. Which always makes for some delightful, if somewhat dark, humor.As a retired teacher, I'll assign this pharmacy a grade of five stars, and only because I'm a "low grader." The telephone- and e-mail notifications offered by this outlet make life quite easy for us customers. And the service provided from behind that counter, and out to the drive-thru, is certainly thorough, which some will understand as being woefully slow.Alas! The tyranny of small numbers. Numbers of some impossible-to-please customers.

Rx hours are to short. Drive up has been closed multiple times i have stopped to pick up prescription due to low staff. Out of stock on alot of prescription and have to wait to order in. PRICE of products are to high including rx medication. Staff is friendly!

Racial profiling at it's best. I did nothing to even insinuate that I would steal anything, yet the minute I walked in the door a woman left her register and "just happened" to need to stock the items within two feet of me. At first I thought nothing of it until, she followed me to four different aisles. There is no way she need to stock one item in each aisle that I happened to be in. I will not be visiting this location again. African American does not mean crimincal. I am ashamed that it's 2017 and people behave this way.

Got tested for covid-19 there a week ago and they never sent back the results. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be and seems to take a longer than 30 minutes to pick them up.
