We were in Tabby & Jack’s for 45 minutes; we were never greeted or acknowledged. They also never asked or offered help even though we were clearly struggling and walking back and forth trying to make decisions. At the counter, we waited for the cashiers to finish their conversation before even talking to us. We asked about their return policy, and we were told if it is out the package they can’t return it. They return food, but not much else. For us, having a good return policy means you stand behind what you’re selling. We also all have fussy pets so having a good return policy is essential for my pet stores. Then we had an awkward and tense moment with the manager when we asked if the leash we just purchased could be returned if it didn’t fit. We were looking for a specialized leash for my mom’s upcoming surgery. She made us feel dumb when she responded “it’s a slip lead.” I said “this leash is for a bigger dog than mine I’m worried it might be too big. I am getting surgery, and I need an easy leash I only need one hand for.” She repeated “it’s a slip lead.” This encounter made us feel VERY uncomfortable, especially after spending $120 on just 3 items. I wish we would have purchased our items from the brands themselves.Tabby & Jack’s is more expensive than other surrounding pet stores. This was one of many unwelcoming and uncomfortable experiences at this store. I will never return after this last time.My mom and I visited 3 pet stores today to get our pet supplies (shown in picture). Going into Tabby & Jack’s was a horrible experience. I recommend going anywhere else. We went to Mounds and Bad Dog Friday, which are wonderful pet stores.

Its hard to find a knowledgeable groomer for MaineCoons. I was pleased with the partial groom, nail trim of my MaineCoon, Finnegan. It was his first time. Scheduling was accommodating. Will be scheduling again.

I always feel nervous taking my dog to a new place since he can be pretty anxious. Tabby and Jack’s did a great job with Cooper. He came back looking, smelling and feeling great! Definitely the best groomer I have taken him to and we will be back again.

When we moved to Madison, I was a little anxious to find a new groomer. I checked out places closest to us with great reviews and found Tabby and Jacks in Monona and feel so lucky to have found such a great place on the first try. My little lady is very anxious and our groomer, Kim, always does great with her and always makes my little guy look so handsome! I highly recommend taking your dogs to get groomed at Tabby and Jacks in Monona.

Savannah is knowledgeable and kind. The selection of products for dogs is top-notch. I came in today for a second time grooming appointment for my tenderhearted mixed breed lap. He had his nails done, his fur fluffed, and his booty sparkled. I thought the price of this service was fair enough to leave a generous tip. My dog had cash left over in his account for some high-quality rewarding beef liver treats. I'm all in with Tabby & Jack's. Give them a chance!

I am very pleased with my baby girls groom at Tabby and Jack's on Monona. It was her first time ever getting groomed and they took very good care of her, Dakota came out looking fresh, her trim was very clean, and shaping. Our groomer told us how well she did and had to say goodbye because Dakota definitely made a new friend today

Our dog came out looking worse then when he went in. Smelt worse, hair not even cut or trimmed and was $30 more then previous visit.

Great little pet store with a wide variety of quality pet products! This is the kind of pet store that values your pet’s health so you’ll only find high end food and treats here. Years ago I worked for a pet store that was similar and always look for specialty pet stores like this one. They have a lot to offer for both dogs and cats. We saw 3 dogs come and go for grooming/nail trims while we were there and everyone was so great with the pets. We grabbed a nice sized elk antler for our dogs at a great price and a few bags of treats. They have a couple cats for adoption in the windows as well. Great little shop for your furry friends!

Took my daughter's dog for a wash and a cut . She takes him here . The dog jumped out of the car wagging its tail and when I picked him up he was as happy as can be . So the dog whole heartily approved . And that's the opinion that counts on this review . 45 lb burn a doodle with tip $120.00

My 2 dogs love Krystal at the Monona location! Aj, on the left doesn't take to strangers too good, but he is so good with her! And she will sometimes put festive lil bandana on them. :)

The first time I brought my cat there for her lion cut the girl did a beautiful job. Tapered her mane, she had her tail brushed out, and she was shaved down evenly. This time the lady who did her lion cut did none of that. I could have taken her toThe vet tech at her vet and gotten similar results for less than the $90 I spent. I will definitely not choose her again

Retail employees under the age of 18 are regularly scheduled and required to work 6-12 hours in a day without a (legally mandated) meal period. Retail employees are told that they are not allowed to eat when customers are in the store as well. The owner of this company has been known to be disrespectful to her employees, and has a track record of wrongfully terminating dedicated and hardworking people. After over a year of working here, Tabby and Jack's has lost the business of myself, my family, and my close friends due to their unethical business practices. Please shop elsewhere if you want to support a business that respects and appreciates their employees.

I absolutely love Tabby and Jacks!!! Every time I stop in they are welcoming, willing to help out, answer questions and know their products. They make great recommendations. I have been to all 3 locations and they are all that way! Pet food is competitive with all the big box stores. They carry high quality products as well. I have had my pet groomed here (mine doesn't require it) but every dog I have seen picked up from grooming has been happy and looks beautiful, you can tell how loving they are with the animals. These three locally owned and operated stores are amazing and I would highly recommend that you make this your 1st and only stop if you have a fur baby at home.

I took my two cats here to get their nails trimmed.One of my cats took a couple minutes.However my other cat was terrified & started hissing. We were asked to come back to try to calm him down and I was surprised that there was a dog on another table right next to my cats.My cats aren’t familiar with dogs and if I knew they’d be in close proximity to one, I would’ve chosen a different groomer as I know that alone would get them anxious.My cat didn’t end up calming down so we trimmed his nails at home & they offered to give us a refund. The groomer even gave us some tips on how to calm him down for future trips.
