If I could give this negative stars, I would. We went there a couple days ago to adopt a kitten they had. That I had previously the day before, told the person over the phone that we wanted to adopt that specific kitten so we made the drive down to Madison and went in and inquired about the kitten the staff seemed put out to have to go look for the kitten. The blonde lady at the desk seemed like she hated her job and horrible customer service skills. Did not even bother to help go look for the kitten and so the other lady had to go see if she could find it. Which she could not, and said that it might take up to two days for them to locate it. Neither one of them seemed really happy that we were there to adopt a kitten like it was an inconvenience for us to be there. Even though we had called the day before, and said we wanted that specific one. It should not take up to two days to locate an animal that you have. I’d be worried if it has been cared for properly, there’s no excuse for that. I get that they’re small and they like to hide but then that’s why you keep them in a certain area especially if you know someone’s coming there to adopt them so that was an entire waste of a trip driving down there long story short, we did find a kitten we bought it from an individual who had some kittens for sale. But I highly do not recommend EVER going to Noah’s Ark pet center. Hopefully they can find some better people to hire who actually care about their job and the people that they’re helping and animals. Total disgrace. The date was 4/25/24

What a wonderful place and the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable.We came home with a new kitten for our family.She’s a happy healthy extremely friendly and playful kitten and now part of our family.We loved the free roaming cats.What a great place.Highly recommended for anyone needing pet supplies or a new furry friend.

Very cool pet rescue/store. Owner Mary and staff are wonderful. The cats are so well cared for. My son and his family adopted cat Beebo. This cat is over the top cool and cute. Thank you Noah's Ark for all you do!!!

My abyssinian guinea pig is sick with a URI. I adopted this guinea pig 3 days ago, and she is coughing, sneezing, and experiencing discharge from her eyes and nose. She has been sickly like this even before I bought her, and the conditions that she was kept in were completely inappropriate. I assumed that maybe she was sickly because she was nervous, but it has since progressed. She was given to me in CEDAR CHIP BEDDING (very unsafe). She was also kept in a typical hamster-sized ENCLOSED cage with THREE other guinea pigs. The guinea pigs were also not provided with hay at all. I understand that this is a temporary living space, but all of these factors utmost definitely caused a URI. The employees were lovely, and I do not blame them for this at all. I hope that the Noah's Ark Pet Center business will be professional enough to cover the medical bills. Until then, I would never recommend this place to anyone. **UPDATE** My vet bills were covered by Noah's ark pet center, and I am grateful for that. I still would not recommend purchasing a guinea pig here. Save yourself the time, stress, and gas money.

Adopted a new Baby on Thursday 😁 Meet Bianca! She's doing great and it only took 2 days for her and the other cat to adapt to one another. She follows me EVERYWHERE and cuddles with me at night. When she wants attention (which is always)she drops to a laying position in front of me and cries. She the highlight of my life after losing my home and having to give up my other 2 babies I had because of it. She chose me, she saved me and she gives me something to look forward to everyday. Thanks Noah's Ark for being a part of it!

Great selection of treats for your dogs, all the beautiful cats that they have for adoption that you can meet in a very friendly pet friendly human friendly atmosphere is amazing... I go to the store to buy my dog's treats, I have 3 100 plus pound dogs and I buy their treats throughout the month at the store and everything I buy they love, they have wonderful prices and a wide variety in a small store, the truth is big things to come in small packages it may be a small store but there's a lot to find and check....

I go here for kitten therapy. When there are no tiny fluffs to cuddle, store cat Jeff allows me to pet him. Love the customer loyalty perks (free case of food after you buy a dozen) and the variety of toys and treats. Selection of other products is more hit-and-miss but no big deal, the essentials are always in stock. Staff are all hardcore animal people. Love to support this place.

I believe this is the best place in Madison and surrounding area to buy a Kitten. Noah’s carefully pick’s out the kitten’s they put up for sale. Kitten’s play all day in the store and are very healthy and happy. And if by chance you get a kitty with a normal health problem, they will send you to their veterinarian free of charge. Simply the best experience and terrific pet’s.

Noah's Ark is a treasure of a small pets and pet supplies business with friendly, knowledgeable, and personal service spanning three generations. A nice selection of tropical fish, and there are always kittens and small critters to see.

Best pet store ever. I've been going there well over 20 years. Sometimes you go just for kitten therapy. Many of my cats have come from there. Mary and Joe are super nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and if I want a specific type of cat they keep an eye out and let me know. Awesome place!!!

Great small business, mom and pop shop. One day when I did go in the owner's were having a loud argument. They did not stop when I entered which was a bit awkward. Otherwise great items and prices.

The best pet store ever. They let the cats roam and be free and introduce themselvesTo you. Very knowledgeable owners. They do grooming and sell lots of goodies. 100% my go to for my cat. It’s worth the 20 minute drive

I had an awful experience here. Granted I was looking for fish related items. The service was awful, and selection was very limited. However, based on the comments and photos this looks like a great place for a kitty. I super appreciate that. I might try here again with that in mind.

I took my 3 y/o great grandson just to look at the animals. First thing he spotted the kittens running around the shop! It was a wonderful welcome!He checked out the fish tanks, the guinea pigs in their cages and the mice playing on their wheels in their cages. But the stars of the visit were the kittens! They have toys available for customers to use in playing with the kittens. We will go visit again, but our next pet store will be Animart . . . we heard they have puppies!! ;)

The fish were badly taken care of. Tanks were overstocked and dead fish were floating at the top of nearly every tank. The bettas especially made me 😢

Adopted a cat recently, sadly she came down with some illnesses that she wasn't showing originally. Took her to their vet partner & they covered EVERYTHING. I am very grateful for them & helping us out. Honest place that truly cares for their animals wellbeing.

Wonderful local pet store! Come here and support a small business. They have everything you need for a pet. The staff was wonderful and friendly. They helped me find my cats special need food right away. Great prices on merchandise. Plus you can adopt kittens here. They have free range cats to meet. I had a great time here.

The lady (I'm terrible with names!)who groomed my buddys cat NumNum was absolutely AMAZING! We have tried in the past but with no success. She got right to it. Was very calm and loving to the cat and he stayed calm for her the whole time! I highly recommend her and this place for sure!

I have loved coming to Noah's Ark for years now. You walk in the door and if your a cat lover, omg kitty's free roaming the store. The little tortie baby basking in the sunlight by the door when I came in last weekend for fish food made my day. From fish to birds, reptiles and furry friends they have alot to offer for a Ma and Pa store.

nice place, i got all the things i needed to start my guinea pigs except for the cage. i will say the cage the piggies were in at the store was way too small for even just one pig, let alone 2-3. helpful staff.

Love this pet store. I like how they have the cats roaming free inside and you can pet and play with them. My kids enjoy going there just to pet the kitties.

The prices are fair and it is neat that they have cats loose in the store. But the selection of the food we feed our cats was limited. Also I wanted to get one of the cat trees for sale but because the free roaming kitties used them I know mine wouldn't have used it if I did. But overall friendly staff, and nice pet store.

King of the North for pet supplies! This gem that's tucked away has really reasonable prices (cheaper than many other shops), and definitely very nice. It's easy to see why they've been a community staple for so long.While I would categorize them as more cat store than dog, their selection of treats and bones are pretty extensive... Did I also mention well priced? I will shop here over the big box stores any day.
