I've had my MadCat cat tree for almost 6 years. They delivered it to my first apartment, too! It's so durable, the girls love it, and I just replace the carpet and sisal rope every now and then. The customer service at MadCat is always so lovely! Everyone is so helpful and I love that they help with adoptions!! I will support this business over PetSmart, PetCo, Chewy, whatever, any day!

First of all, shout out to the brown and white tabby who greeted me at the door. He just have been a service cat in a past life - he knew I needed a snuggle and he did a great job.On to the people. Wonderful. I came in with a weirdly specific problem that I was starting to panic about. They let me tell my whole story (it was long) and they went above and beyond to get me a solution.I have 5 cats, and have been getting most of my pet supplies online for years and years, to save some time and money. But I forgot how valuable face-to-face human kindness really is.

I just got back from the store (April 11, 1:50pm, 2024), and pretty much had 2 employees (women) treat me and my dog like I was garbage. We walked in and one of the store cats started hissing at my dog. I said "Kitty won't hurt you, it's ok", as my dog was scared and backing away. The employees then corrected me "OH SHE MIGHT HURT HIM, SHE DOESNT LIKE DOGS". I was so taken aback because generally we have always been treated decently there. I was speechless and just proceeded to go get my pup some treats, minding that the store cat might hurt him, apparently. My dog is very friendly and came close to the employee who gave him a look and a "hello there" with an air of annoyance it was unbelievable. If you work at a pet shop and are one of those "cat people" who hate dogs, why are you there? The other employee was no different, and was wearing a bikini in the store. I bought so much stuff and after I paid and paused, she said "do you need a bag?".Who are these people MadCat are hiring? They seem like the owner because they could care less if I was being mistreated of threatened.I have always enjoyed taking my pup to his favorite store. There are 2 employees there who he absolutely loves and who are so kind and respectful (they're responsible for the 2 stars and not 1).

Madcat is the best! I loved browsing and bringing home the best toys and food for my babies. They also helped with products and recommendations when my baby was going outside the litter box after moving.

Great wheelchair accessibility, for my power wheelchair, and a huge selection of pet supplies. Staff were wonderful and supportive. Stopped in for pet adoption fair, and everyone was extremely accommodating.

Always have a great time here, the people know me and my girl by name and are great to talk to, on top of the wide variety of cat supplies for a good price. It’s nice to see a store where 90% of the pet section isn’t just for dogs, this place is all inclusive. Will always come back for all of our cat needs

I love Madcat! I buy ties here for all of my cats. And of course toys and catnip. It's a nice local business. I have had great experiences at all of the Madison locations. It's my favorite place to go for cat toys. And I love looking around. They have anything you could possibly need or want for a cat. They even carry dog stuff too. And of course you can adopt here too. I dearly love this store. I enjoy meeting staff and store kitties.

We picked up a Slimcat feeder ball for our rabbits here. There's not a lot of stores who carry toys for giant rabbits. So I can appreciate a specialty cat store that has enough variety in cat toys that something here will stimulate a 9 lb rabbit. Employees here were kind and helpful.

Got our beautiful baby Smudge from mad cat. Always buy toys and litter from them as well. Its always fun to stop by and see the little cute baby kitties they have running around(or usually napping). We've also bought cat trees from here that are still in perfect condition.

I absolutely love these stores! I’ve been to almost every location and the staff is always so friendly and extremely helpful when needed. I also love that it is a cat centered store so their selection is larger than any other pet store I’ve been to for cat items (they do, however, still have dog supplies too!). Would highly recommend shopping here for any novice or experienced cat owner!

Stopped today for litter and found the staff very helpful and friendly. Best litter deal around and ecologically friendly with their bulk refills. I have numerous cats and their Premium Choice litter really works on the odor. Love MadCat!

Top quality holistic pet foods with only the best ingredients. Mostly dog and cat supplies. Some small animal in the back. Often have cats for adoptions and fairs on Saturdays. Staff is also very friendly.

Such a cute little store! I always love going to a place where the staff is so knowledgeable. When we had questions, they had in depth answers. The store has a great variety of foods for your cat and there’s even some dog stuff too! Loved to see the sleepy kitties in the window, I tried to pet but they were too busy snoozing.

I usually love going here, and I am still going to continue going here. However, a woman overcharged me $20 - and it definitely wasn't the first time- only the first time I was bale to catch it. I had to ask for a receipt, and she gave me a short credit slip with no individual items. Then I specifically wanted to ask for an individualized receipt (because every time I ask they keep giving me a small credit slip only saying the amount charged) and I specifically wanted it because I keep leaving there thinking I spent way more than I estimated in store. This time - I see a charge for $20 with FS next to it (usually says T for Taxed). I called and the woman immediately knew what she did and said she KEEPS doing it. Definitely not the first time. I had to drive back and get my refund and she was not apologetic and kept blaming the register. I should've been more cautious because I know for a fact that wasn't the first time - I can only wonder how much money was taken from me there. Manager was very nice about it - but still- definitely lost some money there

I adore Mad Cat. The staff is knowledgeable, the prices are excellent, and many of the toys and cat trees are unique. I found the cat collars are purchased here were much higher quality than the one I bought at Petsmart, and remarkably they cost less. There are many items for which I find that to be the case. With Mad Cat you can shop local, save money, and spoil your pet!

I absolutely love MadCat. The selection is nice, and the employees are very helpful. They've even provided me with a bounty of pet sitter recommendations before when I didn't know who to call. I purchased a wonderful, well-crafted cat tree there, and I go there regularly to purchase nearly all of my cat's food and toys.The store is also just a fun place to go, honestly. It's nice to chat with other cat lovers there, and there are 4 cute cats who live in the store and often a couple of foster cats there up for adoption. Convenient location for west-siders.

Love the selection of wet cat food and the staff are always friendly and pleasant to talk to. They welcome our fur-babies all the time. I have brought one of our cats in many times, never have any issues. Their return policy is great if you are unsure if your pet will like something, which is hard to find for some places, especially when it comes to opened pet food.

I just love this place. It's a wonderful local pet supply store and they do cat adoption events. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. I went in tonight for a new leash for my pup and found a cool toy for my cat and he loves it! Great resource.

Really cool location for cat and dog supplies alike. Well stocked, good variety, and they even host adoptable cats here sometimes! They also have some resident cats lounging about waiting for you to stop in and give them a pet! I love going here I always leave with a smile on my face and usually end up spoiling my 3 cats at home with more fun toys and trees I find here.

A bit on the pricey side for some items, BUT WELL WORTH it to support a local business that gives back locally! They carry a wide selection of locally sourced/grown/farmed greens and treats- hand made items & toys sourced ethically from various wildlife- I was truly impressed! Staff was more than amazing- *of the 2 leg and 4!✌😎

Absolutely love this store! I visit the Mineral Point store by Walgreens but they have other locations too. Great selection of pet supplies. Not just for cats! They have plenty of dog food and toys for both cats and dogs! Have an obedient dog or friendly cat? They allow leashed animals into their stores and their staff have lots of love to give to your animal! Your pet might even get treats...no promises though.

I've been to this store a few times now, and each time has been a great experience. There are two friendly cats that greet customers inside, very friendly staff, great cat toys/treats, and good options for cat food. I'll be coming back here!
