Wow! It’s thanksgiving day and I just had the best experience ever in a grocery store at festival. The cashier was genuinely nice and a guy named Andrew gave me a free product for helping someone find something in the store since they are decently busy with the last minute holiday shopping. I expected people to be in rush and not happy working on thanksgiving but the employees of festival seemed happy to help! Amazed and they made my day.

Do you put a 1 or a 2 because they don't have front staff anymore (comparatively) or do you put a 5, because they are the closest place that has also removed people from the checkout processIt's a grocery it's got what plants crave... I don't know what to tell you

BEAUTIFUL STORE! I’ve been to many Festival stores before, but this one takes the spot of my new favorite. As usual for Festival, customer service is crazy off the charts good, tasty selection of loads of local and hard to find Wisconsin foods, but where this location shines is its unique construction. The ceiling here uses recycled trees that were removed from nearby Tenney Park for structural support beams, which is something I’ve never seen in a grocery store before. Not only is this sustainable, and stylish, but proof Festival goes to any lengths possible to maximize the experience for customers and employees alike. If I could give this 420 stars, I wouldPS, give Alexis a boomerang! She’s amazing!

I ordered a cake for my son’s birthday and he did not like it, neither the taste nor the shape. I call the store and told me would give you $5 gift card use at store.. this is not my first time ordered from the store I order birthday cake more than 6 times a year's every time I say no problem but this time no way! No more shop from festival store.

I love Festival Foods! It's got almost anything you want for weekly groceries- might want to look elsewhere for ethnic selections, however. The store hours are great because I can stop in almost anytime I want.

The produce section is always immaculate. Quality produce placed carefully so as not to bruise. There's always good sales including regular (probably bi weekly) sales on butter, sour cream, etc. Some of the best prices on soda in town. The fish counter...not so much. It often stinks like fish should not. I avoid.

Visiting from out of town. Stumbled upon Festival by accident. LOVED IT! If I lived in Madison they y would be my go to. Friendly staff, store was clean well organized and browser friendly. Selection of a mega store in neighborhood setting. Thumbs WAY up! 👍

We ordered for pickup from Festival on East Washington in Madison. Ordering was so, so easy online - just be a little patient with the search feature and try a different search if not getting results you want (for example try "coffee ground" if just "coffee" is giving too many non-relevant results). The shoppers are great and best buy codes were well into future instead of a day or two later. Excellent quality and selection of merchandise. Everything was ready on time, and they also did the extra work to quickly combined two orders for us so that we didn't have to come back. We even got a birthday cake - just add candles : )Thank you for the very safe no-contact pickup service during this awful covid pandemic.

Paid 23.21 for 5 items. Half gallon milk, 6 pack of brownies, 4 pack of white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, 67.5 ouches of laundry detergent and half of can of pringles this don’t make no dam sense never coming here again. I mean never this is highway robbery times ten.

Purchase well made! 🤩🤤 4.5 stars for not having Ham Salad, but the kind employee explained they only carry it during their Salad Week(?) in the summertime due to it not being very popular … so, it’s back to 5 stars! 👍

Only 3 stars as the prices are unreasonable. Everything is WAY more expensive than anywhere else (other than Fresh). Extensive deli with a ton of premade food, and the produce is fresh. The space clean and the workers are friendly. It's also disability accessable which is helpful for me!

So I tonight I visited your store near downtown Madison with my girlfriend & was in the self checkout lane & was having some problems with the scanner. The girl working the cash register on the crutches was clearly having some sort of mental setback due to her health & staffing issues you guys were facing. When we were struggling with the scanner the machine said that help was on the way several times. The girl working expressed frustrations that she had to her job & even tried to ignore us. When she came to help I simply asked if she was okay which she replied “no” because of her leg & the staffing issues. She then became very passive aggressive & we spoke with the manager “Santana” regarding her behavior towards us when simply we just needed her to scan her badge so we could proceed with our shopping . He was a help with our problems with the self checkout line but regarding your employee he completely disregarded her actions & even tried to point the blame towards us. I get being short staffed because since COVID we’ve all faced this reality & been through this. But at some point we must uphold some sort of generosity towards shopping customers. We recently moved up here from Florida & was excited to be a customer to your store, but if this is the standard for your stores. I will never step foot in another Festival grocery store ever.

Love Festival! Great store - I can pick up up anything I need. Today they exceeded my expectations!! I locked my keys in the truck and I went in to ask if I could leave it there overnight since my extra set were 45 min away. They called a locksmith and got me in no charge. Talk about great customer service! I’m an even bigger fan now!!

This Festival Foods on East Wash. Has been a great store to have worked for. And also to have been a guest. Always excellent customer service. And let's not forget the awesome fresh veggies that they always have. Keep up the great work.

As a Madison grocery store, your bread game is really poor. I can go to HY-Vee, Woodman’s, Sentry, Jennifer street market among others and find great bread. Why is this? Step the gluten game if you wish to be competitive!

What a beautiful store. One of the best I've ever seen. It's very clean and well stocked. The staff are somewhat friendly. I enjoy my time in there. What else can I say? It's just a normal typical grocery store. Overall, I do recommend this location if you are interested. Thanks for reading my review. Peace ✌️

The downtown Festival is hands down the BEST grocery store I've ever been in! Super CLEAN, great selection of brands, beautiful produce, an awesome salad bar and deli, and friendly workers.

Great location, limited selection but I suppose it's intended that way being in heart of Downtown. High prices tho probably a convenience pricing metric I presume. Overall good tho.

Although the layout can be confusing the display of the vegetables and the general cleanliness of the store makes festival a stand out. I've heard the bar is great.

Been coming here for more than a year. Amazing produce that is very high quality and always fresh, the guys at the meat counter are the absolute best and super helpful. Employees have always been extremely helpful and kind, finding items for me and navigating the store.Prices are a bit higher than other places and the layout of the aisles are not intuitive but I am used to it at this point. Beer selection is 90% Hazy IPAs which gets old.Overall great store

This is a generally quite good regional store chain (maybe only in Wisconsin?) that does a really good job of providing a great selection of food, and non-food items, people seek in large grocery stores. They also have a really good liquor department, well stocked with a great selection of beers, wines, and spirits. Staff are consistently knowledgeable, polite, and friendly - just like the typical native Wisconsinite! I think they're also doing a good job enabling customers to sanitize shopping carts before entering the store. But there are always problems with customers who either "don't get it," or just don't want to cooperate, or frankly, are just a bit dumb. Today, I saw too many people shopping who were not wearing masks. One was a man who kept handling many fruits before deciding which lime, or lemon, or apple he wanted. I felt I had to ask him to stop. I told him "You're not wearing a mask, you're not wearing gloves, and other people don't want to buy fruit that you've had your hands all over, since we don't know the last time you washed them." He gave me a weird look, and I followed with "Shop with your eyes, not your hands, please." I just feel that the time has come where all grocery stores must require all shoppers to wear masks. If you don't want to wear a mask, sorry, don't come shopping for groceries here; we care too much for our customers' safety - that should be the way of things.

The staff here are always friendly and helpful. The parking garage is naturally snow-free in the winter, which is convenient. Speaking of, the nearly Downtown location is second only to perhaps Capitol or Fresh.I want to give this place more stars, but for a couple things. While I LOVE the availability and relative variety of pies for sale here (and I've long believed Madison needs more pies), there've been times when I've bought one and as soon as I got home, I noticed mold beginning to grow or easily visible areas of mold the next day. Once I even saw a pie bring sold, per the sticker prepared that day and 'fresh' for several more, with a two inch diameter solid mass of dark green mold right on top. Maybe I'm too averse to moldy pastries. Another time I was sold a frozen solid RAW pie. So I don't feel safe buying pie here anymore, which sucks since I love pie, and this is one of the few places in town with any variety or reasonable price.Another thing is just a general lack of variety, which is a problem common of most groceries in Madison (people I talk to from out of town don't understand why I spend hours hunting around many stores yet can never complete a grocery list - then they visit and are like, "OMG! I get it now; it's impossible to find normal food here!"). Given Festival's size, a limited selection is expected, but it feels even more limited than it needs to be. I only went here for a couple things, but they stopped stocking them so now I just get Thanksgiving sides. To their credit, it's the only store to take a merch request seriously, or at least follow-up by letting me know they 'didn't think it met their standards'. (Really? A national distributor - one they already use, and a product long sold in tons of stores in the Southeast and recently nationally? I wonder if it exceeded deliciousness limits, or maybe just required someone add a row to a spreadsheet?) Anyway I appreciated that they actually got back to me.Otherwise the place is clean, has a lot of the essentials (YMMV), helpful people, and prices you may or may not find justified by the convenience. Fwiw I also miss the Kin-kin coffee kiosk they had, but it's not a big deal.

Great grocery, can't imagine life without festival since they opened! Staff is helpful and friendly. Store is generally very clean! Sometimes I feel like I love here because I visit so much! Only downside is parking lot can be nuts at times but you can always find a parking stall.I would highly advise a visit to Owen in the liquor department. He is super knowledgeable and can point you in any direction for a drink.

I have fallen in love with this grocery store. The staff here is amazing, friendly, and super helpful. They will help you with any questions you might have. The store itself is huge for being in downtown Madison. It has easy to access under ground parking. They make all kinds of goodies here in the bakery and deli. And offer a great selection of bulk foods. I was also impressed with all the different product brands they carry. It's a great downtown grocery store!
