Nice camping facility, mostly seasonal camping. But close to the race track and they were nice enough to activate the back gate for the weekend, to make it easier to get to the track. Lots of trees and some spots are tight to back in. 333 to 336 were easy to get in. Looks like a lot to do for the kids. (Edit/update) Dump station located at the back of property. Corners seem a little tight to get our 5th wheel back there. Also exiting from the site to the road, we had to pull past exit and backup the hill to make the exit. Like that it is gated, but no extra room. Inconvenient, not impossible,

It was a holiday weekend, so it was a bit busy. We brought our dog along as well and did experience some encounters with off leash dogs, which can be dangerous. Other than that, it was a great experience. While there, the weather was quite warm, so using the pool was great. The pool wasn't very busy either, which was surprising. Most people were at the pond.

I'm outside here at 11:45 pm and no issues with noise. There's the sound of a train in the distance but that's about it. It might get loud during racing season but I could sleep like a baby right now outside here.Located a few miles off the beaten path but still close enough to run into town. Full hookups and pull-thru sites a major plus. The neighbors all seem nice.I honestly feel that those complaining are the type of people that will complain that someone's sprinkler is inadvertently watering their lawn. The only reason I dropped a star (and should be more like 1/4 of a star) is because they close up shop too early in my opinion. At the end of the day, we plan on coming back.

We camp here a few times a year. Our family has seasonal sites here. We were going to get a seasonal for next year but after our weekend I’m not so sure. Since we are unable to stay on the seasonal side with our family we rented a golf cart for easy back and forth as well as our friends. After having our carts out for the second time of the day during the later afternoon we got told to park them for good due to “multiple complaints”. Our friends did get a warning the night before but my husband and I never got one or told we were doing anything wrong with ours, in fact we were in bed sleeping and ours was parked during their warning. The gate was up and we rushed through and didn’t swipe our card. I understand now that it’s not ok to do that but then was told to park for good for our mistake without any explanation. The security staff- Dan Theresa, and Troy would not even hear my husband out and just screamed at him when he tried to tell them their own policy of getting 1 warning(that’s we never got) before having to park. My husband pulled Jim aside and he took the time and talked politely to my husband and for that we are thankful that at least one of them was reasonable and didn't scream at us. Further more they would not even give us a specific reason as to why other than “multiple complaints” that we were never told about until this point. It was only the second time we were out for the day so unsure how there could have been so many. Troy also threatened to make us pack up and leave and when my husband said "im drunk I can't" he said "if I have to I will."The staff was beyond rude even coming by before quiet time and telling us to keep quiet. We spent the day at the pool and so much of the conversation was about the rude staff-specifically the security guards we had trouble with. As a weekender who comes a few times a year it’s very discouraging to want to continue to spend money here when the constant chatter between seasonal campers is about the terrible staff. It took us multiple attempts to get our gate key active, last time we stayed they booked us the wrong dates, we got a gift card no one seemed to know how to use, and have just had quiet a few problems with our last few stays. We really enjoy coming here but after getting yelled at, and talked to the way we did and being threatened to be made to leave I’m not so sure.

I loved this place while being a seasonal camper, however during my divorce they decided to change a contract to my husband who I have not yet divorced even though i tried to contact them. I am not sure for the partial behavior but I was threatened that I would be removed from my very own site I had paid for because my husband talked to the office with lies. Unprofessional!!!!! This is not about our drama just the legal issues that have now arised to their decisions. I’ve never done anything but pay for my site there and they allowed a change in contract with no known reasoning.Unbelievable and so unprofessionalHusband is Chris picazo and mine is Tracy

If you are looking for a campsite to relax, rest and listen to birds chirp . PASS THIS ONE UPHowever if you are into cars racing around a track on a Saturday into the night, Freight trains on the top of the hour blowing horns, the sound cars of the highway, people working on the seasonal homes with saws and yard blowers than this is it !!This should have been used in the movie "Cousin Vinny"Albeit the pool is nice, the activities for kids looked to be OK, the pound was novel. and enough golf carts to make you puke, doesnt anyone walk anymore? No way we would ever come back here, even free or they pay us.Very tight parking for larger RVs,

As a seasonal, I LOVE my summer place. The campground has two sides to it, the Smith Road side which is the newer portion of the campground and the Highway 12 side which is the older portion of the campground (which was formerly Dells Timberland). I am on the Smith Road side. Since merging the campgrounds, the staff have been working hard to improve the Highway 12 side of the campground since it was neglected by the former owner for several years due to health issues.I can't comment on the overnight tent/camper sites, since I have never stayed at them, but my elderly parents stayed at one of the cabins on the Highway 12 side and absolutely loved it. They said it was clean and tidy and easy to move around in and had everything they needed. If you are looking for a seasonal site, this is an amazing campground with beautiful water features, mature trees, activities for kids, lots of friendly seasonals and management staff. Please note that the Dells Raceway Park is RIGHT next door and can get quite loud at times due to what vehicles they are racing and wind/cloud cover. But most of the time the races are over by 10pm. There is also a train track nearby that occasionally you will hear the train horn at random hours. (This stuff doesn't much bother me, I lived next to O'Hare Airport right under a busy flight path for years and these noises don't even compare LOL).

We came to visit this campground and was met with multiple challenges. While we had obtained a visitor pass to be there during the day to follow their guidelines. When we returned from our family day we parked out of traffic and at the top of the “back entrance” waiting for our friends with a seasonal to meet us to let us in.. the security guard immediately accused us of not having a pass (though we did and was in our front windshield) and jumping in front of our vehicle saying we are suspicious and not allowed. After explaining we were just trying to wait for our friend to allow us in we just wanted to be out of the way the security guard belittled us and talked to our family as if we were not welcome. We will only visit when Time allows but will never be as associated or spend money with this campground. Lots for kids to do but Very unfriendly staff.

The campground is okay. Very tight to get in and out and the dump station is located all the way at the back of the park. With no good way to get to it pulling your camper. The water for cleaning up at the dump station was not on. This was very upsetting. The dells raceway is right next door so if you're there on the weekend expect noise.

Overall not what we were looking for.First we arrive late, 8:04. The office was closed so we had to walk up to the office. There were instructions to get into the gate. After several attempts it worked. However after returning from dinner we could not get the gate open using the same instructions, Leaving us stranded for 30 minutes in the dark outside of the gate. A nice man finally took mercy on us and helped us get in.Second quiet hours (11pm-7am) seem to be only a suggestion and not a rule. There was very loud conversations and music played well after midnight. With us in a tent we heard it all making it very difficult to fall asleep.Third It appears that this campground has “long-term living campers” mixed within the “weekend campers”. The camp sites were right on top of each other. Not exactly the relaxing camping experience we were looking for..Finally the showers were 5 minutes for 4 quarters. Not knowing this ahead I had not brought quarters with us. There was not a change machine. So we had to drive into town to get change since the office was closed a 9am. Not ideal! So with a little more information and of you are looking for a family, up-all-night place this is for you. It wasn’t for us! The low stars is primarily for the gate, noise and shower situation.Happy camping!

The experience was over all good except for one thing. We rented the deluxe cabin with shower. The shower was absolutely unusable. The water was either scorching hot or freezing cold. I spent 10 min trying to get it to work. There is something broken in the shower valve. I sure hope this gets fixed. Also I understand the notes said we have to bring our own linens and cooking supplies but no toilet paper even? Like that can’t be that hard to at least give us some.

Leave your preconceived notions of "the great outdoors" at the gate because you won't find that here. This place is between a race track, highway, and high traffic train tracks. This is not a minor inconvenience, the race goes into the night starting in the morning. This should have been conveyed to us. The trains have to be the most used I've been near, and my grandparents lived near a factory. The highway is so close you will hear that all day / night too.The staff is indifferent at best. Showers are quarter operated. Arcade is 12 machines most of which are out of order. Camp sites are on top of each other. The pond was the nicest thing they have. That however was right next to the race track, once warm up started at 11 am Saturday morning it was ruined.Better off camping in your back yard and hitting up the local pool. At least the wood and beer is cheaper.

Overall good experience. Awesome friendly staff. Other campers were also friendly. Pretty large property. If you intend to swim in the pond then pick a site closer to the pond otherwise you'll be doing a lot of walking or short distance driving. During the week it was quiet and peaceful. Fair warning because it is directly next to the race track it is very loud Saturday night. Didn't bother us because we expected it but if you're looking for a peaceful Saturday night, it's not happening. Average size campsites. We would definitely consider staying here again.

I don’t like that you need to pay an additional $5 to secure your camping spot, if you plan to camp. We also had to pay $10 for an early check in, one hour before check in time when the cabin was already clean and no guests had been staying there previously. We paid the $10 and moved on, but if you arrive early just spend some time in the Dells until check in. Anyway, the cabin was nice, showers are excellent, and the man made pond was lovely for floating.

It seemed like a nice place to spend some time with your children. We have a 40' motor home which was a tight fit. If we had a smaller camper it would have been easier. All and all, this is a nice place. There are plenty of activities for children.

Friendly staff, lots of things for kids to do. Sites were rather small. Earplugs recommended - close to a racetrack (we didn’t mind, my husband races as a hobby). We only stayed one night and were satisfied. Probably wouldn’t choose to stay for an extended time.

Someone saw a spot between a race track, a highway and some train tracks and decided that would be the perfect spot for a campground. I can assure you, it is not. My own fault for not researching the campground more as it was picked by someone else in our group. But from roughly 10am-10pm all you hear are race cars. Loudly. Everywhere in the campground, even inside the camp store. There's a small arcade but more than half the games are out of order. The swimming pond is quite the walk from a majority of the campsites. They charge $1 per piece of wood. Showers are $1 for 5 minutes. Everything seemed dirty and rundown. There's a dozen campgrounds in the area and I highly suggest staying at a different one.

If you’re looking for a place to go and have staff yell at you for every little thing this is the place to go! 6mph on your golf Cart they will park your cart for the weekend. 5mph not a mile more.

Shangri-la is the best name for this campground. The office is neat and clean, the bathrooms and laundry not brand new but serviceable. The roads are not pot holder, the sites spacious and clean and there are a lot of trees for ample shade. If I'm ever back in Wisconsin Dells, I will stay here again. Here's a tip: Go and tour the House on the Rock. You will be amazed.

We actually live at the circle complex right near here and have gone a few times. It's a ton of fun and there's always something for kiddos to do. But, there is an issue. Golf cart riders have been riding along the circle complex nearby. Lots of children live here and it is a residential. Not to mention all of the atv'ers and others. I've seen about three of these people stopped on the side of the road near our houses, not sure if it's the campground golf carts but if so, please reconsider letting them do this.

There was a issue during check-in where half of our campsite was already being occupied! We were left with a small sliver of land to set up our tents. Pretty disappointing considering I paid close to $200 for 3 nights!!! The bathroom/shower facilities are decent, as well as the pool & pond. There is a racetrack right next to the campground, so if you're looking for peace and quiet, I would go somewhere else.

We spent 8 nights here. When booking, they had a package so we were able to enjoy Kalahari, the original wisconsin duck ride, and timbavati wild life park. They have a pool, swimming pond, game room and more. Bathrooms were clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. My only con was that our site was mostly rocks and not so much grass and on Saturday you could hear the racetrack all day.

Good facilities, not great. Hot water in the showers was only warm and the bathrooms were not very heated. Many full time residents. Wonderful trees and many opportunities for hammocks. I do not recall the internet being very good. Good location if you want to go to the Dells.

A great new campground just minutes from downtown Wisconsin Dells. Plus it's only a walk away from Dells Raceway Park for Saturday night entertainment! We have stayed in the cabins with are family and the kids enjoy the swimming pond! It's only a couple years old so everything is nice and new!

Would of been 5 stars because it quickly became our favorite campground to visit with the kids. But now they changed it for the campsites closest to the pond are all permanent sites now. N we always took a site closest to the pond for our kids birthday parties. Very disappointed that they made this change and we will not be camping with them this year because of it.

I wish i could give this place 0 stars because the staff is completely rude. I was going the speed limit not even going fast at all when I was pulled over by an old security guard when there was several people speeding and going over the speed limit. Not to mention he was also going over the speed limit when he kept passing us. I felt like we were being watched the entire time we stayed here.
