I have been camping at Bass Lake for 3 years now and my 7 year old daughter and I just LOVE this campground. It is VERY clean grounds and bathroom facilities. The playground equipment is out of this world. The pool area has the cutest Cabana. There is a beautiful area for fishing or kayaking. Everyone is absolutely the friendliest people you'll ever meet. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at Bass Lake! Happy Camping!

We tent camped for 10 days at this little slice of heaven... The are far/close enough to the Dells/Baraboo that you feel far from the city but not so far it would be hard to do a fay excursion. They have a pond, pool, volleyball court, basketball court, amazing playground (though we had no little ones), showers and laundry on site. The staff was friendly and amazing and so were the seasonal people as well. We shall definitely be coming back!

Absolutely pleasurable right out of the gate. Friendly, welcoming, clean facilities, pet friendly (all thought we didn’t have one), clean pool/tiki bar; even let us enjoy the pool after hours. Laundry facilities on site, the odds and ends you may have forgotten to pack they had available for purchase at the store along with warm showers. Minutes from WI Dells. For Anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing, nature experience must check out this website.

My boyfriend, our two dogs and I were on campsite #42 reserved for 2 nights. After setting everything up and almost about to sit down and relax it started raining pretty hard. So all of us decided to sit and wait it out in the car. After about 10 minutes it wasn't letting up and we looked out out window and our campsite started filling with water. We proceeded to get out of the car and the water was up to our ankles and water was rushing through our site from the camp sites above us. We realized there was no way we could comfortably stay here with two dogs, especially if the rain didn't let up. We took both tents down and all of our wet belonging and packed my car in the pouring rain. There was no way we could be expected to stay there comfortably with the amount of water what was going to be there after all the rain and the rushing water from the other sites. Not to mention one of the workers ( before the rain) came up to us and suggested we take our canopy tent down because of the wind and possible thunder, during that conversation he could have mentioned that our site will probably be under water shortly. After addressing them via email they replied back very inconsiderate and not willing to issue a refund of $100 for a two night stay we couldn't/ wouldn't be able to enjoy. Do not recommend. And considering the amount of people that have experienced the same thing we did after reading these reviews its wild that the staff tried to tell me that their campground doesn't flood.

We tented here for 2 nights. Owner was friendly. The campground sits right alongside railway tracks. With the train crossing being so close, be prepared to hear the train cross and blow its whistle all day/night long. (ear plugs might help a bit when sleeping). The tent spot was nice, flat and big. Bass Lake is not a lake. It is a very small stagnant creek. The tent sites sit alongside the creek. WiFi is not provided at this campground. Some tent sites have hydro. A lot of focus is kept on the grounds which I might add is very nice but overlooked in the washroom facilities. Washroom/shower facilities were never cleaned when I arrived and during my two day stay. There is nothing major in regard to supplies in the store but there is a grocery store few miles away.

We love coming here, the people here are great, very peaceful and relaxing. Sites are beautiful, nice mix of shade and sun. Pool is very nice, a tiki bar is available 5-10 to mingle with others.plenty of amenities on site, if not…Lyndon Station is a couple miles one way and the Dells a few the other way. I recommend lunch at Mac’s, breakfast at Schwagger’s , groceries at Miller’s…all in Lyndon Station.Nearby activities: Wisconsin Dells a few miles away.Food & drinks: Tiki bar on site, lots of great people. Excellent food and drinks in Lyndon Station a couple miles from here.

Absolutely loved this campground! Everyone was very friendly and the owners are amazing. Very accommodating, clean bathrooms, clean pool, clean and nice little cabins. One of the owners Bill did everything he could to make sure my son had an amazing time, we will definitely be staying here again!!

We stayed a week in a cabin. It was comfy and cozy. Close to the Dells, so the day it rained we took a drive in and experienced a few places. This is an awesome campground! They hosted Christmas in July, had a parade, and a party for everyone! Everyone had a great stay! Highly recommend reservations, they take care of the rest! Thanks to Bill and Matt, and all the staff for keeping things tidy and attractive 24/7!

By far, this is the dirtiest campground I have ever visited. The toilets had s**t on the seats, the trash cans were full, the bathrooms were infested with mosquitoes and other flying bugs, plus the corners were filled with spider webs. They had signs posted to explain that they cleaned frequently, but that it was a campground and everyone should do their part to help maintain the cleanliness. What a joke! I would fire the person responsible for cleaning or retrain them on proper cleaning procedures. The only reason I gave this a 2 star rating was for the tiki bar and pool area atmosphere. The bartender/owner makes some good drinks. However, the bar hours could be expanded and a little personality would go a long way.

Dirt roads with mud puddles. So called 'store' had nothing in it. No wifi so you couldn't find a store if you needed one, or find other activities in the are. A bar is in the center of the campground with loud obnoxious people from 5-11 pm. The lake was too filthy to let a dog swim. The rental boats were slimy inside. The sites are right on top of each other. The whole place was a huge disappointment. Don't waste your money coming here.

Excellent experience for 3 generation long family weekend. Owners are terrific. Grounds clean and nicely wooded. Great little park with swings, slides, etc., for the kids. The pond is not in good shape but they told us that ahead of time. The pool and outside bar are clean and fun. So close to all Dells activities you can go for awhile, come back for lunch or nap and go back to activities later. If trains bother you just know it's close to a crossing so you hear the whistle blow. But not an issue for us. We sleep soundly. Overall EXCELLENT and we'll be back!!

My hubby and I stayed over the 4th weekend. The campground is very well maintained. Quiet hours was quiet! They have a sweet tiki bar right by the pool and Bill made a mean Pina Colada. Lots of seasonal campers there who made us feel welcome. Would definitely stay there again.

This place is a little slice of heaven tucked away from the Wisconsin Dells. They not only have a swimming area, a pool, a bar, a play ground, but also an arcade, bike rentals and hiking trails. They have hot showers, a laundry facility, and the landscaping is just gorgeous. The staff was super friendly and I'm glad I got to be there for the first opening of the tiki bar for the year. I will definitely be returning!

Great place for camping with family. Sites are close yet still big amount of space per site. Small place with few regulars. Not a lot of golf cart traffic making it safer for our kids to walk the campground. Brand new playset! Nice addition! Pool was clean and warm! The pool bar was cute and a great hangout place for us as the kids swam. Use of equipment was free (horseshoes, basketballs...) Pond was disgusting, maybe due to low water? And just a heads up, Bass Lake is more the size of a river. Very narrow and shallow for most parts. My main negative review! I Do not agree with site cost for 4 people. Many families have more than the typical 2 kids, like me and 2 of my brothers. Extra charges for more children is the reason we choose to camp vs a hotel. In hotels it is a capacity based on evacuations. What limits the people when camping in open space?I would totally go back especially since I hear the improvements the guys want to make at the campground! Jumping pillow and outdoor theater were a few ideas they are working towards.

Post Trip: In short, we really liked Bass Lake. We stayed over the later Forth of July weekend; Friday through Wednesday. The owners were great, personable people. They maintained the place pretty well, made sure firewood was around, took steps to control mosquitoes, etc.My family stayed in the cabins around the smaller lake and we very much enjoyed having our own little area. The cabins are sleeper cabins so they are very simple but perfect for what we wanted. The pool was small but clean and had a neat little bar area and music. There is also a little community room with some games and tables. Our only complaint was that the bathrooms were in need of some updating and repair. To be perfectly honest, they were exactly what I would expect for communal campground bathrooms, so no big deal.Pre-trip: Just called to make reservations, and so far I am impressed. I would recommend calling as the email I sent two days ago has gone unanswered. The owners may want to check to make sure it is working.I called yesterday to leave a message, and received a call back within an hour.Bill took my reservation info quickly with no need to repeat anything, deposit was fair, and he clearly had a system/list for making sure I got all of the pertinent information. I was left with no questions at the end. I'd say this is off to a great start!

We had a GREAT time there! Typical campground with great bonus of an awesome general store where they have all the essentials like the chocolate bars you forgot for your smores. Well done.Super attentive staff during our visit. You would walk into the general store and they'd be walking in behind you so you never had to wait. One morning walking in there was a main re-sealing the wooden sign with fresh polyurethane. It already looked beautiful but he was just keeping up on it. That is a great snapshot showing hearts that want to be diligent keeping up on their property! It showed. My wife was happy with the bathroom/shower area. That goes a long way for a family when momma is happy with the bathroom area!Try out the "banana peel" recumbent sway bikes when you come. Kids will love them and they have adult sized ones for the adults too! Had fun drifting a little bit in the gravel.Bonus:. When the staff heard we were celebrating my little girls 1st birthday, the staff woman brought over some little gifts for the kids - my nephews and nieces. Little light up hair clips or whatever they were. The girls loved them! Super sweet of the staff and totally unexpected! We stayed in the deluxe cabin. They're basic, clean, and functional for what they're made for. Giving you a night's sleep with AC if needed and some fridge space for some things.Grill was a weber in great condition. Firepit at site. Firewood on site at reasonable price. Slushy bar near pool. Cold drinks there and in general store. What more could you want? Thanks for your diligence keeping the grounds and facilities in solid working order so families like mine can drop in and plop down and relax for a nice weekend away from the grind to enjoy each other in a fresh, different setting. We appreciate it!!

Nice place to camp, even for just a weekend.Close to The Dells. Close to Devils lake Campgrounds which was or original plans but you need a year in advance reservations for Devils lake. Nice pool at Bass lake. A pond and small bass lake within walking distance.Bathrooms, forget it. Worst ever . They try to keep them clean but , ya just can't breath in there. It rained the day we got there. One of our camp sites, under water. Our other camp site We had a camper so I shared my dry home. The people running the place were pleasantly friendly. I would probably return here, during a dry summer.

So bummed about the swimming areas that were advertised. The beach and the pond are absolutely not to be swam in. The staff was super aggressive when we asked why they don't update their pictures on the site or social media and said they don't have time for that. We have stayed at similar style campgrounds throughout the state and have never encountered anything like this.Disappointed is an understatement. If you are going to stay, call and ask about conditions of whatever you are looking to use/utilize because their online presence is out of date.

We unfortunately we're very disappointed. The pictures online are NOTHING what it actually is when you get there. The lake was disgusting the water looked black. The pool was freezing and they say they have a game arcade.. it's a pool table. Very disappointing. The cabins weren't bad for the price you pay besides the fact that it stormed when we were there and the cabin leaked. We ended up going to the dells for the day and left a day early. Don't waste your money.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Cabins clean and cozy. Bathroom and showers probably one of the cleanest of the campgrounds I've stayed at. Beautiful scenery and pretty quiet. Friendly personable staff. I will definitely be back! Thanks Bass Lake Campground for a wonderful time!!!!!

I was not impressed throughout my whole stay here originally 5 days but we ended up leaving 2 days early. On the phone the people will tell you that they have a pond, a lake, and a pool. Which is all accurate, they just don't go into detail. The pond and lake are both disgusting full of weeds, slime, and a layer of muck just top of the pond. I did not want to take my family in that water. Although the pool setting is nice, the water is COLD unenjoyable. The campsites are about 2 feet away from eachother. I'd say the nicest thing about this campsite is the bathroom and showers and playground. Other than that, I wouldn't spend money here.

Fantastic campground! We've been to a few other campgrounds in the dell's area and nothing tops it here. The cabins are very clean, air works great, landscaping is beautiful, pool is clean, tiki bar is fun, the two owners are very friendly (not sure where all the poor customer service reviews are coming from), and it's 5 minutes from the main drag in the dells. Will definitely be coming back!

I am not sure where the bad reviews come from. We go to this campground every year! The pool may be small, but the campground is not that big so there is plenty of room. The pool area also has a full bar that is usually busy at night, and a great place to hang out without leaving the grounds. The bathrooms are clean, the 2 guys who run the place are awesome, and always willing to help us any way we need! Their Rum Runners are the best!!!! YUM!. The site have trees, the middle is a big grassy area to play catch, frisby or whatever. Their is a playground for the kids, sand v-ball, basketball hoop (though the paved area for it is a bit small), and horsehoe pits! grounds are always very clean, their is a fishing pond, and Bass Lake.. really a pond, but you can rent canoe and relax on the water if you like.

We had a great time. A bit too much rain but we made the best of it. Our little cabin looked like a houseboat lol. Nice clean place and very hospitable people. Next time though we're getting one with a bathroom and a tiny kitchen 👍

If I could leave a zero I would. We brought 1 pop up and a tent 3 adults and 7 kids all under 12 and were told we had to rent multiple sights. Supposedly its a law that only 4 people regardless of age can be at a sight. I am from Wisconsin and I know that they are full of BS! They wanted over $120 bucks just to camp one night. Camping should be more affordable than hotels this is a completely ridiculous place! Just warning any families looking to camp!

“Thank you Bass Lake Campground for a great 4th of July weekend!”My family and I stayed at Bass Lake for 4 days and had an awesome time. My kids could not get enough of the very clean pool ~ good for us as we could not get enough of the Tiki Bar located right next to the pool. Our children also enjoyed playing volleyball with many of the other camping children. On the 4th some of the seasonals decorated their golf carts, bikes, dogs and even themselves and paraded around the campground throwing treats for the kids. Everyone from the owners to the campers seemed to be having a great time. Very happy with this smaller campground and would definitely recommend anyone that has a young family to try this place.Thank you Bass Lake!Mary & Dwight P
