I have been eating department store meats my whole life. I didnt know what I was missing. This place opened a whole new avenue of foods. Cheaper then a grocery store, tastes better, cooks nicer and just superior. The staff has had a smile on and ready to help the minute I walked thru the door. I will never go back to grocery store meats again. It's worth the extra time and effort. 5 stars well earned, will be back regularly.

Bought a 1/4 cow from bergner and ottos processed it. I will never get another from either. I was a meat cutter for 15 years and I know what meat should smell like. I saw a special on fb so I figured everything going up I’ll jump on this and save some money even though I didn’t need at the moment. So I bought and picked up as normal. We finished our older meat and when I started getting to the newer stuff it smelled rotten. I reached out to bergner farm and they blamed ottos and my freezer. said they was nothing that could be done and just said sorry. I will never purchase from either of these businesses again.

I recently had half of a cow butchered there and when I got home and put all the meat away I realized that we were missing our tenderloin steaks. I called Otto’s numerous time and they always said they would call me back and they never did. I always had to call for the update. I even went back through all the meat and called them with the exact count of everything that I received. They did say the cutting sheet should have had tenderloins and were going to look into it some more to figure out what happened. I called back again a few more times to get an update and I always got the answer of someone will call me later today for sure. I have yet to get a call back so I decided to leave a review instead.Update from by review above. I did get a call back from Otto's now and they did make everything right. Andy even drove all the way to my house on a Friday night at 6:45 just to deliver it to me. Thank you for the extra touch. It was appreciated.

Can not say enough good things about Otto's. The storefront features a large selection, anything from New York Strip, beef sticks, chicken breast, and dog treats. Stopped in to have a tomahawk cut which the staff brought out to show the size and confirm (much appreciated), left with a whole bag full of other goods.Friendly staff, quality meat, this is now my go-to for meat in the area. Thank you all!

Everyone I spoke with on the phone for our half a pig processing was accommodating, kind and friendly! I will gladly drive from Green Bay to purchase meat in the future from a small butcher who takes pride in their business. Thanks for being awesome!

I enjoy traveling across the country looking for small businesses that can provide different tastes and products that you can't buy everywhere else and take them home.Otto's meats has got the best Beef sticks in Wisconsin, and probably every where else I've been. I absolutely adore the "Jalapeno and Smoked Cheese" beef sticks. (I totally should've bought more than 1 package!) But, as I was here to "try and buy" I only bought one of each package. (Had they had free samples, this wouldn't have occurred, that's how I ended up with 2 pies and a rotisserie chicken from KwikTrip!) You could actually taste the cheese, that is something I have never experienced, as usually the meat flavor or the other ingredients over power the cheese. And it's good cheese, they should sell some of that outright too, and possibly have a small pop fridge. I could've totally gone for a Cherry Coke or Fevertree Ginger Ale about that time of day.I buy stuff from around the country, and here I bought beef sticks because they were the most reasonably priced, and came in many flavors. Most beef sticks you buy taste exactly the same as "Jack Links", or something you find at a Dollar Store. Tough, flavorless, and tasting of old meat (maybe) and lacking in any real substance other than fat globs or "chew". By chew I mean something we eat because we bought it, not something we'd actually bring home to tell anyone about. "Snap into a Slim Jim" sometime, and you'll understand what I'm talking about.I plan fully to revisit this location for more beef sticks, and probably some other cuts of meat as well. The Ribeyes and Walleye caught my eye, but it was still winter in Wisconsin (Sept-June) so I didn't get any meat cuts, but I plan to this summer (July) before the snow flies again in September. I'm eager to restock my beef stick supply, as they were rather tasty, and only about 4 packages out of 8 made it home to Massachusetts. Sadly I had business in Black Earth, WI so I didn't make it back to the Green Bay area, or else I would have bought a dozen packages more for the trip home.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! They are friendly, their prices are great. We shopped here for the first time a few weeks ago and will be going there for our meats from now on. Great sausages, smoked and fresh cut meats, you name it! If you're looking for a great meat market this is the place to go. We drove 2 hours to check out a different meat market and wish we had come here first - the other place was not friendly at all. Also, Otto's meat has much better flavor and prices. Excellent experience! We did not incur an extra credit card fee like one review claims.

The butcher who cut the beef half I split with a friend should not be cutting any meat, ever. I would not ask them to cut up a hotdog. Absolutely terrible job. They butchered the butchering.Tenderloins, probably the easiest cut to get right, were completely messed up. They were in packs of 2 medallions. 1 piece was 3/4 inch thick and the other piece was 3 inches thick. The other pack had a slab about 5 inches long and butterflied and the other piece was 2 inches thick.Don't even get me started with the sirloin roasts. OK, since I'm already started, there was pieces of fat attached to those pieces that I've never seen before. So much extra waste that had to be cut of on my end. No consistency in the sizes there either.Maybe a guy would have luck if you get EVERYTHING made into ground meat. The probably couldn't screw that up. Well........who knows.

People and products are far and above your normal meat market. They have products thatsome others do not have because they butcher the animals there so everything is fresher and all products from the animal is available from what i could see. They have grass fed and even looked like a nice variety of organic fed meats. Went in for tallow and left with much more. They call their jerked meat by another name like sliced but i call it over the top delicious. Oh yea it was my first time there but is now on top of my list for fresh meat markets. One happy customer.

A friend had a hog butchered and this is where it went. This was my first experience with Otto's and also the first time I've gotten half a hog. The staff was helpful, and they assisted getting my meat in my car. I waited to write my review until I tasted my meat. I'm told they don't use msg which for some may be a plus. The bacon was excellent as were as the steaks and chops. I felt the ham was much less flavorful than I anticipated. My ham steaks were a full inch thick, not the half inch I asked for. We like our Italian sausage quite spicy, and it was very different than expected. I basically just tasted anise. At the last minute, I noticed a sign that using a credit card would incur a fee. Be aware and bring cash or a checkbook.

We purchased a half grass-fed cow from a local farmer and had the processing done at Otto's. Fantastic, helpful and generous staff! Packaging was very professional and clearly printed. I'd highly recommend them! Loved the God-honoring tracts and statements throughout the shop as well. May the Lord continue to bless your business!

I had a 1/4 cow butchered here, and am less than happy. We are slowly trying to make our way though everything, but I will never purchase from here again, the meat isn’t bad but not one package was sealed all the way. I have much freezer burnt meat, and just overall am not impressed at all.Every single steak package has a hole in it.The ground beef was great, but that’s it. Pretty unhappy overall and will not be returning here. Every package leaks blood all over and leaks, flooding the meat if thawed in water.

THE BEST beef jerky I have ever eaten. This is the real deal, thin strips of marinated goodness, not the ground up ("flat beef sticks") kind. Also an amazing selection of other meats with a large organic/sulfate free section. This is a must stop place each time I pass through town.

Recently had a hind quarter of a cow processed by Otto's Meats. We noticed chunks of what appears to be cartilage and ligaments in the beef after browning it for tacos. The picture illustrates the chunks found in the beef. We informed Otto of this quality concern. He asked that I make another package of beef. I did and still found the same items in the beef. He asked that I bring him in the meat so he could see it. So I brought him in all the ground beef. He told me that was what a quarter of a cow looks like and there is no way for him to get all of the cartilage and ligaments out of the beef. I told him that I did not want the beef if this was going to be the quality of it. He told me that it was still fine to eat. He then proceeded to grab a spoon and eat out of my container of ground beef and cartilage to show me it was edible. I told him he can eat it and have all of the ground beef since he liked it so much. He then asked me what I wanted as a resolution. I told him I wanted him to do the right thing. He said well this isn't my fault it is the farmer's fault. I told him the farmer has nothing to do with the poor quality of the processed meat. Otto refused to resolve the issue. I cannot recommend Otto's Meats.

Otto knows his craft well. One of the very few places for custom meat processing who takes proper boning technique seriously so YOU end up with as much animal (and the same one) as was dropped off. Also ages meat properly. Great customer service to boot. Well organized business.

I tan animal hides like some of the Indians did it which requires brains. Do you know how hard it is to find a place that sells brains!?! Glad i found Otto's Meats! They sell them and at a fair price. I haven't bought anything else from them but the people are always nice. Great place and great people..... it's worth the drive!

Otto and his staff work to keep amazing meat, sausage, bacon available to those who care about quality.I constantly am complimented on my bacon, but I always say its ottos and cook it a little lighter than store bacon. Ottos bacon is nitrate free and tastes like no other.Well worth the drive!

Our second tripAwesome again.My gal ask where I wanted to go for my BD dinner.Ottos. For the price of going out we purchased 1 tenderloin.I don't care for cutting meat, but that very nice young guy at the counter told me what to do.I'm buying a very good knife for prepping.Melt in your mouth steaks.5 nice pairs of filets.A couple small breakfast pieces.And some tips for chilly.Thank you OttosPsOur dogs are loving their bones

Bought sausage sticks and other sausage items. Bit into them and were so mushy just like raw meat I think they forgot to put in smoker. Was just disgusting tossed all in garbage. 38.00$ in the trash. Would of return but don't live in the area was passing by and son and I were looking for snack for trip home. Sorry but for you that rated 5 stars I really hate to see what you rate bad meat.

I bought a 1/4 rear beef and the steaks are cut very poorly. The T-bones are all cut uneven 1/4 inch to 1 inch at the bone. The packaging was shoddy, in that almost every package leaked when thawed out in cold water, thereby flooding my steaks . I will never go there again and I suggest you watch your thaw process, do it without water. The hamburger leaked blood all over the fridge as well. Poor packaging and poor craftsmanship.

April 29 2023 today we drove to otto’s meat market and everything was amazing we are so happy we stopped there an this place is going to be our place thank y’all for opening up for use right at closing time.
