Echo-Y farms is a wonderful place and really cares about nature, their animals and educating consumers on their sustainable regenerative practices. I was fortunate enough to meet them at the Meyer Oak Market and came out to capture the farm to table experience on the farm from the pasture to the grill to the table. It was a life changing experience that I am so grateful for.It is really incredible to see how the animals are cared for with such compassion, love and respect. Happy Cows definitely come from Wisconsin and Echo- Y Farms.In the past I have purchased a 1/4 of beef that was grain finished and the flavor does not even compare. The meat is so lean and tender and I have enjoyed most cuts from the farm. The brisket being a top favorite, followed by the NY Strip steak and garlic parmesan beef sticks.Looking forward to the next pasture tour this summer!

I just received my first 1/2 cow worth of beef from Echo-Y Farms and couldn't be more excited. Doug and Darren were very friendly and have a real passion for nature and the environment. Through their managed grazing they are taking huge steps to improve soil health, water-to-soil infiltration rates, water quality, and wildlife habitat, all while reducing inputs and increasing profits. When you step onto their farm, you can see and feel the difference. It is truly beautiful and my hope is to see more farmers step up and help their local environments. If this isn't enough to explain their passion, they also hold workshops and farm walk-throughs to help educate those who want to ask questions and learn more about their experiences and expertise (LOL, they even invited me, a non-farmer). Onto the purchase.... Everything was waiting in large freezers and in boxes (no coolers necessary). They use a local butcher (Shout out to Prem Meats in Spring Green/Prairie du Sac). Stakes and Roasts were already vacuumed sealed and ready for the freezer. If you don't want a 1/2 cow, they do offer individual cuts and other package deals too. Everything tastes great! So glad grass-fed beef is available from a local farmer. We have purchased multiple times, ground beef and chuck roasts. So good.
