Since moving to wisconsin three years ago, I have trusted Top Knotch Grooming Salon with my two dogs! Even since moving from Menomonee Falls down to Greenfield, I still drive up to Lannon just to get my dogs groomed by them. I have always recieved the best service and I would recommend them to anyone! They even give my dogs their very own bandana to wear home and both of them love it!

This place is wonderful! My boyfriend and I just moved here from an hour away and this salon is just a few minutes down the street from us. We have not found a salon with same day availability as we are in construction and can't plan a few days ahead. I had off yesterday & called for a cat nail trim. When we showed up, they were closing, but the lady working reopened and performed the service with a smile on her face. I will 10/10 recommend this place to other fur families as well as be coming back for future services for my kitty. Thanks again!

I have never had my dog groomed. When I showed up to have have him groomed, the owner didn't even say hello. She looked at me, sighed and said, "What are we doing?" after I had explained to her on the phone what I needed. Meanwhile, my dog is barking his head off because he's never been there, and he was being protective of me. I just left and did not even have my dog groomed. The owner said to another co-worker, "he almost bit me." My dog was barking, he never came close to biting her. He has never bit anyone in his life. A dog groomer with poor customer service that my dog did not like it not a good combo.

The owner is extremely rude and not pleasant to interact with. Makes snarky comments when you are preparing your dogs to leave the salon. If she can't interact with humans, how can she be kind to dogs who are scared of the groomers? When grooming is so expensive, find someone who you trust and who will make sure to provide your animals with the best experience. Not even sure if my animals get potty breaks throughout their 4 hour stay, even though one has Cushings. Don't recommend.

Best groomer we have been to in years. Very good with our elderly dog.They are very knowledgeable. Have given me lots of valuable advise about how to care for my dog. We live in Milwaukee and make the 20 minute drive. It is well worth it.

Owner and folks assisting have been extremely helpful. Brought in my gf older bichon friesse. Owner alerted me as the dog was having a tough time with the event. This dog has been groomed over the last 14 years but is getting up in years. Was able to finish the grooming whilst present and mentioned the difficulty we are having the dog eating. Owner was helpful and we were able to get some food and other related items to help with the difficulty feeding an older dog. They have a great selection of quality foods...com stella and chewy and VE to name a few. Thanks to the staff and will continue to get food and services as l long as the bichon is around.

My dog absolutely loves going to Top Knotch and seeing Debbie and Greg! They are SO good with her. She always looks fantastic when her grooming is finished. They have a lot of knowledge about more holistic ways to feed and supplement your dog too, so if you are interested in that, ask some questions. They have been in the grooming business a lifetime and have lots of answers based on those years of experience.

Very unprofessional and rude. The way the owner spoke to me was very condescending, she basically called me a liar when I brought my Pomeranian in and she said that he was too matted and that she has been doing this so long that there’s no way that I was brushing him like I said I was. She said that there was at least five months undercoat matting when in fact she groomed him less than three months ago. I would never recommend this groomer and her nasty attitude. I understand that Pomeranians coats Are more work than other dogs. But instead of a condescending attitude why not try to educate your customers.

I want to start off by saying that I really don't like writing reviews- especially negative ones. I was not going to post anything, but I hope that by doing so I can help other first time pet owners like myself who are looking for a good experience. I should also say that Top Knotch may be a great place to go if your dog is a little older and is fully trained. We still have a puppy. While we have been working hard on training, he is not fully trained yet.We had taken our puppy here a few times previously to get his nails trimmed. We had no issues and were very happy with our experience. This time we wanted to get him groomed (a bath and nail trimming). We were already nervous about taking him as this would be his first time doing something like this. We were especially nervous because we were told it would take about two and a half hours to groom him.When we picked our puppy up, the lady working pointed to a scratch on her arm and told us that he scratched her by jumping up at her. My husband and I both felt terrible about this and apologized right away. The lady then proceeded to yell at us (from about ten feet away) about how we need to train our dog and how our dog doesn't care about anyone or anything. She told us that we were not welcome back- as if we would want to come back after being publicly embarrassed by her. She could not take the time to walk up to the counter and talk to us about it. She did not take the time to ask us if we are working on training our dog, which we are. We felt that we were being treated like owners who neglect their dog. The reality is that we are working extremely hard to train our dog, but she just assumed otherwise right away.We do not mind having somebody tell us that we need to continue working on training with our puppy. We get it. He isn't fully trained yet. What we do not appreciate is being yelled at and treated like we are not taking care of our dog that we love very much. We both left feeling humiliated and horrified that we just payed somebody to talk to us like that. All I can wonder is if that is how she talked to us, how was she treating our dog during the 2.5 hours that they had him there? Needless to say, I would not recommend- especially if you own a younger dog.

Took our husky to get his first grooming. We had been here a few times before only to get his nails trimmed and he did just fine with no issues. Today, we took him in and he had apparently scratched the owner’s arm from jumping up at her. We felt horrible that this happened and apologized right away. When we went to pick up our dog, the owner talked down to us and made us feel that we were neglecting our dog. We take our dog on walks and runs twice a day and try our best to ensure that he gets the amount of exercise he needs. We are working very hard on training him- as he is still a puppy. We know that we still have work to do.. What we did not appreciate is being yelled at and told that we are not welcome back. Needless to say we will not be going back and I would not recommend this groomer to anyone.

Owner was incredibly rude to my wife and refused to groom our dog because he suffers from anxiety and was on his anxiety medicine. If you need any further evidence on how rude and nasty she can be see her responses on other bad reviews.

I've been taking my dogs there for a year now, and each experience has been positive. My dogs, especially my older Morkie, don't care to be groomed, but the staff here always do a great job. They've taken the time to get to know my dogs and what works best for them. Not only are they good groomers, I've seen them give nothing but love to my smelly mutts; taking the time to comfort them and give ear rubs while allowing the dogs to give kisses. Not even I allow my dogs to kiss (lick) my face with their stinky breath! I appreciate them taking such good care of my boys :)

Our pup Gracie loves going to Top Notch. She has gone a few times and does not come home stressed. She does take a good nap but that is okay. Everyone is so nice and caring. Very clean and Gracie gets lots of compliments when she gets home. Thanks to a great staff.

We have taken our dogs here for years . Super friendly, excellent groomers and they give each animal the grooming cut they are supposed to have. We’ve had medical problems with a couple of our dogs and they are very careful in thir treatment and handling. Dogs are always done to perfection,and they always take their time to listen to you for your wants and needs for your fur babies....My dogs actually sometimes want to stay and play...You will have peace of mind and no worries if you take your little fur family to Deb and Greg. Took my puppy there. He was nervous but they took time to let him get comfortable and now he goes there no problem. Everyone is professional and very good with dogs. My boy is super clean and smells great! Love this place!

She Wouldn’t take my dog. Saying 5 months of built of under coat when they groomed my dog 3 months ago. I take care of my dog very well but to be told I haven’t done anything, that’s funny because I comb my dogs atleast 3 times a week or more . Lazy/Rude OWNER!! who didn’t wanna do my dog, but isnt that your job especially being the owner ! I’m upset .

Took my dog to Top Knotch twice now. Both times my wife and I had an awful experience. The first time the woman didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. She had a gentleman come over and practically pin our dog down. She proceeded to cut 4 nails to short and didn't notice until she brought our dog up front and there was blood all over the floor. The second time was with another woman. She cut 2 of his nails too short and even missed one. She was very rude the entire time and didn't make the experience enjoyable at all. We will never be going back.We have had his nails cut by the vet multiple times. Each time he just sits there and doesn't mind, by no means is he aggressive at all. At top knotch they make the experience fritenting for the dog and are just trying to finish as fast as possibleUpdate: I do not have a pit bull or a yorkie, I think you are mistaking me for a different customer.

Other bad reviews were correct (see owner’s responses to them as well). Owner was very rude to me over the phone when I was trying to set up a grooming appointment for my cat. Found out they won’t do baths for cats and as I was trying to ask some questions she cut me off and hung up on me.

They all seem very knowledgeable about all breeds of dogs and seem to really love what they do. My dogs love going there and always come back looking and smelling amazing. They are very friendly and I would highly recommend them.
