Really cool spot!!! We were greeted warmly when we walked in and informed that the bar to pour your own candle was sold out. Small bummer but we enjoyed smelling all the scents and even had the opportunity to mix our own scent for a car diffuser. The woman helping us was so lovely. When my daughter asked if she could pour her own candle (even though I had told her it was sold out), they were definitely willing to accommodate us and we would have taken her up on it but we couldn't return the next day to pick up since we were only in Lake Geneva for a day trip. (We walked in about an hour and a half before closing.) The kind gesture was very much appreciated. Highly recommend the reservations! My daughter was happy to mix the scent for the car diffuser and the woman helping us was extremely nice. She explained everything thoroughly from beginning to end. We left happy and with a promise to return to experience the pour your own candle bar. Such a lovely time. Definitely recommend. Can't wait to come back!

This is such a fun place!! Perfect for a girl's night out, bachelorette party, or shower. They have pre-poured candles but offer a chance to make your own it takes about 45 minutes to do with a setting time of 2 hours (plenty of time to shop) or pick up another day!! Love the summer scents!

This was my first time doing something like this and I already can't wait to go back. Went as a work team outing but this will be my next date night! The staff was very friendly giving directions and advice. Pricing was very reasonable and I loved all the customizable options. They also served wine, beers, and seltzers that were great. I can't wait to go back!

This is such a fun place. We made reservations and they had our station all prepared for us. The ladies were there to assist us 100%. So attentive. The smells were so wonderful. So many choices. We made candles. We adore this place. Such a treat!

We were in town for a couples anniversary trip - the guys went golfing and the ladies made candles. This was such a fun activity and we really enjoyed our experience. It’s nice that there are enough staff to be able to help each group out individually. We smelled all the samples and selected our top scents. Then we selected if we wanted to make a candle, room spray, etc. It was great that our “helper” was able to offer different scent ideas to help create our ideal candle. We were able to make the candles on our own with a little direction and decorated a label for the bottom as well. The staff were so great and energetic and really seemed to love their jobs. Our candles were ready an hour and half later for pickup. At first they did not smell fragrant and we were a little bummer but after a day or so I could smell it more and once lit was even better. Would definitely sign up for this experience again!

Had a superb time making candles and having apple cider mimosas. No doubt the best coffee candle I have come across (and I buy them often trying to find one that smells like coffee when it burns). Would definitely recommend and will be back. If you're making more than 1 fragrance and you're with 4 or more, the allotted your could be tight.

We decided to take my mom here for her birthday and she loved it! They took us in last minute at the candle bar and Amelia was an amazing and patient teacher!! She made the process very easy and fun. Would definitely recommend going as part of a date night or girls night. They have other options if candles aren’t your thing plus, over 90 scents!!

We came in today to pour our candles. We had a group of 6 people. I am already planning my next trip!! The lady who helped us was super friendly..very knowledgeable on how to help us get just the right scent.. and the parking is awesome!! Loved that we didn't have to look for parking!! I would highly recommend to anyone to make a trip in and pour a candle!!

Finally made it in today and made room spray, while sipping on a mimosa. The staff was INCREDIBLE and very helpful! Was a fun experience, I wasn't expecting. They have so many scents to choose from and when you create your own, you know you have a unique fragrance no one else has. I HIGHLY recommend, whether it's a date night, friends night out, birthday or any occasion or even solo!!

We were in the area for a friend's wedding weekend and found this awesome shop. By the time we left, we had created a custom smell for our own wedding! It wasn't something we were looking for, but it was absolutely perfect. We just picked them up and had to share!!! Everyone we dealt with was amazing and very helpful. It was a wonderful fun experience for us and will bring a unique touch to our day.

Stumbled into this place with zero expectations and was blown away. You can make your own candle using a wide variety of scents for a relatively affordable price (~$20). We didn't have to wait at all even though there was a group there. The candle takes a couple hours to complete so have to come back later or the next day to pick up.

Best experience ever! This is the perfect place if you are looking for an interactive and fun craft. My overall experience was better than anything I could have ever imagined. The stuff was so helpful and knowledgeable. They made the experience so easy and fun! Also you can get a drink while you make your candle so it is a great activity for kids and adults! These are literally the best smelling candles I have even smelt in my whole life. And they last so long! I cannot stop burins them. 11/10 would recommend this experience to tourist and locals too!

Absolutely loved our experience here!! We were in LG for a bridal party and had a boat rented for Saturday - it rained, so we called (morning of) to get into make candles! They were able to accommodate our party of 11 on short notice! Very unique idea and super fun with the gals! Love that you can pick more than a candle!

The Candle Mercantile is simply the best place I’ve ever been to on earth! Everything from the amazing, kind, and knowledgeable staff, to the deliciously and wonderful aromatherapy you get upon walking in, to the fabulous decore is perfection. Too cold outside? Go to the Candle Mercantile! Need a date idea? Go to the Candle Mercantile! Want to do something cute with your friends? Go to the Candle Mercantile! Just want a really great smelling candle? Go to the Candle Mercantile! The whole experience is really wholesome; getting to pick different scents for your candles and their holders is a lot of fun. Mixing the different scents with the help of staff and sipping on a drink is so very relaxing and all around just a truly marvelous experience. I can’t wait to go back!!

Every time I am visiting Lake Geneva I have to stop in The Candle Mercantile and stock up on new candles! I love the seasonal scents, especially the fall and winter scents! Making your own candle is a fun experience and the staff is really good at knowing which scents work well together. Such a fun time for friends and family!

I definitely recommend making your own candle- same price for a super fun experience! Reported to have about 90 scents, all of which you can get the chance to smell. The scents can be bought in candle form already or the staff can help you make your own candle from a mixture of about 3 scents of your choosing. After making the candle, it takes about 1.5 hours for your candle to set, so the candle can be picked up after that or even later or the next day if they're open.

I absolutely ADORED The Candle Mercantile during my vacation stay in Lake Geneva. I loved the concept of the shop where customers can pick multiple fragrances and mix them together to create anything from a cinnamon apple smell for the fall to a fun coconut margarita smell for the summer. At first I felt overwhelmed by the amount of fragrances to choose from, but Danielle and Leigh were incredible in helping me select and mix scents together for the perfect candles. I cannot recommend The Candle Mercantile enough to anyone visiting Lake Geneva!

Very cool! Was looking for a gift for my dad for Father's Day and discovered not only can you buy a candle but you can make one also. That brought back great memories of making candles with my sister. The store was super clean. More importantly the staff was very friendly! Lots of fragrant oils to chose from. You will have fun! And they're dog friendly.
