The absolute best disc golf experience I have ever had in WI. The 27 hole coarse is incredible. The layout is fun, tons of alternate options for baskets and tee pads. The whole course is professionally manicured, unlike anything I have ever seen on a disc golf course. The pro shop is full of gems and sweet collector stamps and memorabilia. The cabins are well furnished and have great wifi for being out in the woods. Cannot recommend enough! We go back every year

Amazing wooded disc golf course with course options for both the beginner and seasoned vet. Course is in excellent condition, with great tee pads and a fun layout that uses the elevation and beautiful grounds of the Wisconsin northern woods. Spent time with Mike (owner/host) in his well stocked pro-shop. Big thanks for his helpful advice and welcoming atmosphere. Will be returning next time I'm up in northern Wisconsin.

You don't have to be a disc golfer to love this place. The coziest of cabins and fantastic beach lounging are unbeatable. Swim, float, or paddle to your heart's desire. Just a short drive for your provisions and worthwhile local eateries. But if you are a disc golfer, or want to try it out, there are 27 holes through the woods that finish on the beach, just a few steps from your cabin.

It's been a few years since I last visited Sandy Point, but the memories are still so vivid. What a wonderful place to come for a good challenging course with plenty of variety. Whether you're just stopping through or staying for a few days, the people are always friendly, helpful and just make for an overall pleasant experience.

Had a blast playing this course as the leaves were changing and mushrooms littered the ground (which I dig). Mossy fairways, nice mixed shot selection, friendly staff. This place felt like the “field of dreams” but for disc golf. Also I had my first ace on #3 😉SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. We did not stay in the resort because we are traveling in an RV. Broken bow campground down the street is a nice place to stay also!

We have stayed here many times and each time is equally great. Enjoyed it as a child and now I get to bring my kids up to experience it as well. It's a little bit a drive into town vs other places but it's worth it. Nice and clean cabins and the beach area is kept up. There are boats available for use for each cabin.

I have spent a week or more every summer for the last 5 years, except last summer, at Sandy Point Resort, and I am booked to spend two weeks this summer. I really missed going last year, and I look forward to renewing my love of the north woods.Squaw Lake is perfect for a paddle in a canoe or a kayak. Loons, otters, eagles are regular companions. The cabins at Sandy Point are roomy, modern and comfortable. The disk golf course is a pleasure to play or just to walk in the early morning. Late afternoons at the lake in an Adirondack chair are relaxing. Your hosts Mike and Michele Cozzens are friendly and helpful and respect your privacy. Great place to unwind, read, paddle and fish.

Not much to be said other than that this place is the best disc golf facility in the state, if not the country/world. That is not an exaggeration. A team works around the clock to manicure fairways and greens. The terrain is literally ideal for this sport. Holes being added nearly every year. The resort itself is also top notch and cabins can be rented for reasonable prices. If you are in The Northwoods, and you love disc golf, you would be remiss to miss out on what I consider the true Mecca of disc golf.

If I had three words to describe a memorable family fun filled vacation these words would be Sandy Point Resort!Our family has enjoyed for the past eleven years all that this resort has to offer. Playing on their awesome disc golf course, enjoying the water, and all the amenities that are included, from paddleboats, kayaks, canoes, a floating trampoline, and so much more. Over the years we have enjoyed their clean well equipped cabins and the clean sandy beach for building that perfect sandcastle. It is so comforting to know that when we arrive we will experience yet another year of bonfires, fishing, swimming, hiking, and most of all making new memories together again. For anyone who is looking for a true Wisconsin "up north" get away, this would be the perfect place to go!

Truly can't say enough about Sandy Point Resort! Our family has been coming to Sandy Point for 20 plus years. We enjoyed sharing our vacations with other family members, friends, and now our granddaughter. We love the north woods, private sandy beach with canoes, kayaks, paddle boats water trampoline (can never get the kids off those!), our spacious cabin with fully loaded kitchen, and having a playground on site along with a game room is a parent's dream. The professional disc golf course is the added bonus, the challenge, and the laughs, too much fun! My favorite time to enjoy Squaw Lake, is first thing early in the am, I walk down, sit on the pier, look out to the beautiful tree lined sometimes mirrored waters, and maybe lucky enough to catch the eagle scoop down for his breakfast right before my eyes. We have so many good memories with a boat load more to make!

I've stayed at Sandy Point several times over the past few years, and I look forward to it every time. Friendly staff, picturesque setting, and plenty of activities including swimming/water sports, fishing, a world class disc golf course, or just relaxing by the fire. The cabins are comfy and recently renovated and some are sized for larger groups. Overall a great experience. Looking forward to my next visit!

Very nice resort they gave us a free upgrade when there was a no show. The disc course was very fun though we have never played before we could usually shoot 1 or 2 over par for each hole. Nice shallow sand beach, few weeds but that is nature. It is a pretty nice lake but fishing was poor.

We LOVE our annual retreats to Sandy Point Resort and Disc Golf Ranch! The cabins are perfect--woodsy, comfy, but also updated and outfitted with everything you need. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, and boating--big enough for adventures but small enough to keep the boat traffic down. There's even an island you can go to by boat for a picnic! With the disc golf course and pro shop on site, Sandy Point offers more than any other Northwoods resort for its guests and the price is right.There is also a lot to do in the surrounding area, too, rain or shine. The hosts, Mike and Michele, couldn't be more hospitable. We can't wait for our 2015 booking. Thanks for creating such a great place for family vacations!

Very nice disc golf course, didnt sleep there only reviewing disc golf course. If you love disc golf this is a course you have to play if you get the chance. Bring some cash too because you can get some really good deals on some cool discs at the amazing gift shop. 27 holes of pure awesome fun!

Cabins are fantastic and alittle different in their own ways, the owners are wonderful and extremely helpful! Power was knocked out else where and within no time he had his own generaters running and the whole place was back up n running! Even had a little mishap myself and he offered a pair of crutches for the rest of the trip so I wouldnt be hoping around! All around a beautiful place with fantastic disc golf course with plenty of vareity of holes and an amazing family backing it!

Best resort in the north woods. 7 clean cabins- houses. Row and paddle boats, canoes, kayaks and a pristine beach with 3 rafts and a trampoline raft. Fish cleaning house wright next to the lake. Game room with pool and ping pong table. Small, wooden play ground. Last but not least 29 holes of North Woods DISC GOLF!!! What more could you ask for?

Mike is a very accommodating host. It is in the top favorite places to be. Period. Nice, roomy cabins, lake access, docks, paddle boards, paddle boats, kayaks, fishing. The disc golf course is second to none. We enjoyed it so much the first year, we plan an annual trip.

The course is beautiful. Though many holes are sub 300ft it plays fun and with some challenge. The property is well kept. The pro shop is well stocked. I will be making the 3 hour drive may times in the near future, well worth it.

We stay at Sandy Point twice a year, and I can't recommend it enough. Right next to a beautiful & peaceful lake, the cabins are warm and inviting. It is just a few minutes outside of Minocqua if you want to go into town and do some shopping. If you want to stay onsite, they offer a great disc golf course to play onsite.

The cabins are modern, spacious and immaculate. They are tastefully decorated in a warm and inviting northwoods motif, and afford all the conveniences you are used to while away from home. The grounds are likewise spotless and the sand beach is spectacular and the perfect place to enjoy a family afternoon of fun and sun. Squaw Lake is a picturesque "up north" classic of almost 750 acres, with musky, pike, walleye, bass, and all varieties of panfish present. Get out early and enjoy an incredible sunrise, or finish the day on the water and catch a memorable sunset along with your next evening's dinner.Give the disc golf (aka Frisbee golf ) course a try. You might get hooked on something else besides relaxing at the beach or on the water, or sitting around a roaring campfire just outside your cabin.Mike and Michele are gracious and helpful hosts, with many years of providing guests a classic northern Wisconsin vacation. I've experienced a number of Wisconsin lake resorts over the years, and can genuinely say that Sandy Point is as good as it gets. There should be a 6 star rating for Sandy Point!
