I used to really enjoy coming here but that enjoyment is gone. The gaming experience is so terrible that the average person can't play on $500 betting $1.50 on average for no more than 2 hours. Most machines are 8+ spins before your first win. On this most recent visit, I played $100 through a machine at $1.35 per spin. I had 1 win of $13.40. That was the only spin in nearly 100 where I won my bet back. That's unacceptable! I document my wins and losses on every machine every time I come. The average payback is just over 23%. Now, I can guarantee that if this gets a response it will be a standard cut and paste reply. "Everyone's gaming experience is different. We meet similar payouts to other casinos in the state". Then why do you pay the fine to the state every month rather than meet the minimum requirements set by the state? The food has gone to heck, the ATM charges you money, and the gaming experience stinks? Why would anyone want to come back? Guess I'll take my $15,000 in yearly gambling expenses and go elsewhere. Because I can promise this casino will never see another cent!

The restaurant is absolutely fabulous. Delicious shrimps, steak and we bought add on crab legs which were so good. Excellent wait staff. The hotel desk Mgr was very good, even though we couldn'tget a room as it was full. The casino has a great amount of different games. I love the glowing glob for getting a new card, such a fun way to getting a replacement card. Very clean. Too bad we live hour and a half away.

This casino is clean and smoke free. I frequently see staff cleaning.The parking lot has security.The deck overlooking the lake, off the lodge, is a relaxing place to fetch a gorgeous sunset. The lobby has a beautiful fireplace and rustic feel with comfy chairs and couches.Food & drinks: The buffet includes hot dishes, a meat carving, salad bar, choice of soups, cold pasta salads, pies or make your own ice cream sundaes. You can choose to have the whole buffet for $25 or unlimited soup and salad bar for $10. The salad bar has many choices.

The hotel was perfect. The buffet was expensive for what they serve. The casino was just awful played .minimum bet all night and people next to us were feeling the same way. Just dead spin after another other people were saying someone should call the gaming commission and report them. If your smart just go to the pool dontput money in there slots. And really you get on there website and see them living about 30 million dollars that people won in a month serious how stupid do you think people are if that's true how much are people losing????

Had looked forward to meeting friends for a lobster special. We each ordered lobster (4, 3oz tails). Meal included soup and salad bar, choice of potato, and some green and wax beans. My lobster tails were half raw and half overcooked and rubbery, as were my wife's. Reported to the waitress the problem, who got the manager. I ate a few bites of the lobster tails before I decided they were not worth eating. After some painstaking negotiations, we agreed to pay for the soup and salad bar (and not for the few bites of lobster tail that were eaten). Our friends ate their cooked lobster tails and took the rest to go, reasoning that they could cook them the rest of the way when they got home. I expected more. The person cooking the tails lacks the qualifications to cook them. I'm a fickle consumer. I'll never set foot in that restaurant again. And I'll share my story.

Been here before, nice casino just wish I could win something one of these times. Hope the wife does.Nice facility, first time staying. The rooms would have gotten a 5 but we were on a lower level and there is no NONE sound proofing in the floor between rooms resulting in time to wake up as soon as the upstairs neighbors walked across the floor for the first time and our made many trips along with not being lite on their feet.Nearby activities: In the heart of Northern Wisconsin with lots of places around

We've been to the "Lake of the Torches" multiple times. It's about a four hour drive from us in the Milwaukee area.We really like the casino. It's clean and well lit. A very good selection of both slots and video poker machines. A handful of table games.We enjoy the food from both restaurants. We also enjoy the pool area which includes a whirl pool and sauna.What we do NOT like is the consistently RUDE service we always receive from the front desk ladies at the hotel. They are always rude and just plain mean. The one guy we've dealt with ("Jacob" perhaps?) is at least professional to deal with.For the second time in a row we were treated rudely when we called to reserve our room. When we arrived to check in, the lady at the hotel desk snapped at us and was rude. Then we were treated rudely when we check out by a different lady two days later. What is the problem with you hotel front desk workers / management? It's a serious problem you seem to have.Additionally the hotel bed are horrendous. They are hard as rocks. It is literally painful to sleep there two nights in a row. We just couldn't handle sleeping there another night.It is a shame because we really like this casino. But we're not going to give a casino our hard earned cash and "action" when the "resort" staff treats you like they hate you.Plenty of other casinos would love to have our (and your) action.We won't be back again.Rooms: No microwave. Beds are hard as rocks to sleep on.

So fun!! I had $100 free play and left with $12k. Much better RTP than Oneida, Carter, Keshina and Northstar!!!! They are so customer first I was shocked.Smaller than the others, and you have room to move around. Don't be fooled by smaller. There are plenty of slots. Gives you a more vacation, laid back feel.

Decided to go for Saturday night seafood buffet. What a mistake. Everything I sampled was horrible. The crab legs were small, they had been soaked and the legs were hard to crack, they mostly just bent over, very little meat for the effort. Cold shrimp were overcooked and tasteless, muscles not worth the effort, escarole hard to get meat out, not much flavor, oysters, well I love oysters but was skeptical about trying them, not many oyster beds in the north woods. Roast beef was cooked the way I like it but it was tough and chewy, along with cut paper thin…everything else on the buffet was typical fare, soup, especially the mushroom soup was not good, didn’t try the clam chowder…the salad is probably the best thing on the menu. I certainly will not be going back for this overpriced disaster….Action in the casino was on par with the buffet…..

Loved playing slots and enjoying it. Usually I don't go in but seeing it recently, I love what they did to it just recently with some or all of it. Gambling there was exciting amd relaxing because of what they did to the place. Can't wait see how it looks in the near future when they decide to upgrade anything again.Nearby activities: The slots pretty much explains itself to anybody who loves to have a good time while you're able to win a few times, games are fun to play and easy to use with great options and features.

I and my wife won a free night stay at the motel, through a volunteer fire department...We went to the motel desk, the front desk personnel was rude to other guests and people on the phone... I did what the fire department chef said to do... Just present the gift certificate in the case at check in.... The lady rudely said take that out of there... And you need to sign it... We don't need your confirmation number.... I and my wife felt that we were a burden to them... We decided to walk around the complex... Boy was that a mistake, we just got glared at because we did partake in the casino and we were wondering around the complex...... We haven't been in a casino in over 30 plus years... I truly hope you folks don't treat my brothers and sisters in our service this poorly

We enjoy visiting this casino. From home, it's an enjoyable trip. The restaurant has good home food and offers discounts for members.The employees are friendly and helpful. There is no smoking. Everything is neat and clean. There are accommodations for smoking outside.There is a beautiful pool area with waterfalls, current areas, a good-sized hot tub, and a water area for little ones. They also have a well equipped workout room.Rooms: Neat, clean, and well maintained. Comfortable. There is a beautiful lobby with a large fireplace and view of the lake.Nearby activities: About 15 minutes away is a growing town. You can find small shops, resale, antique varieties, as well as Walgreens and Walmart.

I was very impressed with the accomodations and staff. The room was very impressive, it had everything we needed for our stay. I also liked that the housekeeper's were fantastic and friendly. The pool, sauna and exercise room was also great for the family. I would recommend staying here..beautiful hotel💖Safety: Was very impressed with the security staff..very secure hotel & casino

We just go to the casino. Last couple of years, this place will eat you alive. There are no decent wins for an average player.We started going down to North Star in Bowler, Wisconsin. You might lose, but you get playing time and some decent wins.

Someone stole my wallet, and security wouldn’t do anything about it. Said the cameras don’t cover that area they said. Wouldn’t help me out. This happened to my good friend, Duanne Tomlinson, not me, just trying to help him out. He never got his wallet back and security was terrible for not helping him out. Lost his wallet and all his personal information, cash, the works. Sounds to me like an inside job to me. Probably a worker and you’re trying to cover it up. I’ll never step foot in that place for sure. Just totally ridiculous

Long way to travel for such an uneventful experience. Will never go back. It's bad when you use your card and have to try it 3-4 times before the machine reads it. If you do get a bonus, you barely get what you are betting back.

This casino is pretty nice for Northern WI. My biggest beef is that they have upgraded many machines and many of the old classics cannot be found any longer. There are still a few but not near as many as a few years ago. Max bet on many machines is a significant wager...a bit rich I think for this area. There are a.lot of poker/keno slots that are empty mostly. I am not likely to visit as much as before due to some of these changes.Noteworthy details: If your machine has an issue, techs are hard to get to your machine..even after you turn the service light on. I've had to chase one down on the floor for help.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet, nice sized rooms. Some rooms have views of the lake, very pretty. Rooms have dorm sized refrigerators, no microwaves.Woody's pizza is very good. It seems like every time that I try to call Woody's from the hotel room, no one answers the phone and I have to go down there to order the food. Pizza was to take 30-35 minutes so I ended going back to the room til it was ready.

Slots are tight at times, rooms are basic and clean. Need to replace pillows, not that comfortable. Suppose to have lakeside view, but we mostly seen Roof and small section of Lake. Disappointing! Food is good and plentiful, Buffet is okay when food is not dried out from sitting too long on heat. Salad could be more fresh and crisp. Player Club employees could use some people skills on communicating with customers. Some are to the point of being rude and obnoxious. We will not be going there anytime soon. Went back after many months, same old same old. Slots tight, same two Employees working at Players Club with non-professnial attitudes, and lacking people skills and manners. Will not be going back to this Casino again. I'm still amazed how they have a high rating? Baffles me, maybe cause of the Buffet? Sure isn't the Slots being loose!!!
