Just ignore any crabby reviews — this place is wonderful. DO NOT MISS the LOVE FOOD candy which is only available in the winter!

This family owned shop had been handed down from generation to generation. It hasn't changed since I was a kid in 1980. They carry all the old school candy and home made chocolates etc. Get a shake or a Sunday!! Make sure you put in your order for seasonal favorites..Fairy food, peppermint sticks etc. Friendly service always.

Stopped by the Sweet Shop while our for a weekend motorcycle tour. Great old fashioned hand crafted ice and real malts. If you have a sweet tooth that needs a fix they can take care of it.

I grew up in La Crosse and the Sweet Shop was the place to go for Easter, Christmas and birthday treats. Always have to stop when I’m in La Crosse. Favorites are love food, wrapped caramels, dark chocolate orange peels and chocolate covered cinnamon sticks. Also love the chocolate marshmallow ice cream and vanilla cokes from the soda fountain.

Great place with an old school soda fountain feel. Their homemade ice cream can't be beat! Lots of various chocolate treats. Very busy lately so I'd go early before they run out. The peanut butter shake is my personal favorite.

Best little town sweet shop!! The caramel and anise suckers are such a treat. Amazing ice cream snacks as well. Everything is handmade and you can tell! The shop looks the exactly the same as when my mom used to enjoy her Logan High sundae in the 1960's. Whenever we return to town, this is a place we never skip!!

Their chocolate is some of the best I've had and the shop has a nice nostalgia to it. I look forward to coming back to try some of the malts and chocolates i missed!

It was wonderful! I've been enjoying their candy and ice cream since I was a kid, 60+ years. We moved away when I was 15, but I get back as often as I can. The Sweet Shop is always at the top of places I have to go. Best candy anywhere! And the service is great, you get taken care of very quickly and politely. I will keep coming back!

Fantastic Ice Cream Shop right here and in my area too! I always love coming here because it is a family run business and the older gentlemen that runs it is so sweet. I love ordering Blue Moon or a Sundae here it is so refreshing on a hot Summers day and the prices are amazing. I compare this to the Pearl Downtown because they are both historical lacrosse businesses and have so much charm. I love going here and it brings back so many memories.

This is my childhood place to go get yummy candy and ice-cream, I'm so glad it hasn't changed much, the people that works here are still always happy to serve anyone as usual. I will totally bring my future kids here.

I used to believe they had the best ice cream in town. Not anymore. Never have product in stock. The ice cream is grainy and good luck finding pecans in the butter pecan ice cream. Very sad and disappointing. Won't be going back.

My sister and I went out of our way to to call, and physically check if this candy store was open around 5:40pm, yesterday. A voicemail recording of why the shop closed early or a sign stating the shop closed early would've brought more awareness. The hours say open till 7pm. It was a inconvenience to visit this shop, but HEAD TO THE PEARL INSTEAD. The Pearls hours are consistent.

I grew up in the area, and everyone I have ever known has failed me. I am almost 26 years old and nobody have ever even reccomended the sweet shop to me. My spouse took me there for the first today and I had some of the best chocolates I've had in my life. 11/10 would reccomend.

A "single scoop" is more than that, and is served in an old-fashioned tulip glass. Great selection of flavors, all homemade. They also have other ice cream treats... shakes, sundaes, etc. Didn't try the candy side of the store, but it all is homemade as well and looked delicious. A funky, old fashioned kind of place well worth the visit.

A trip back in time to when ice cream and candy shops were inexpensive, and genuine. The staff takes pride in the high quality of their homemade ice cream and candies. I enjoy taking my grandkids here.I wish every town still had a place like this.

This place is so full of memories for me. The 3 people that took me most often are gone now but I take my kids when I get the chance. Great treats for everyone. Great shakes. I love all the variety. Friendly. Fun.

Looked forward to taking our daughter here. I had been here when I was young and have great memories of it. The service was terrible. The girl working didn’t seem like she wanted to there and was not helpful at all. Chocolate was good and would have bought more if the service was better. It felt like we put her out by coming there to make a purchase
