Great grocery store with variety selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. One of the staff helped us with picking some good wine and cheese. She was very helpful. Other staff members were very friendly as well. The store is wheelchair accessible.

I stopped in before work to pick up one of their fabulous tuna salad sandwiches for my noon lunch. Nancy...the sandwich connoisseur on duty made my sandwich on fresh marble rye...with all the fresh condiments. What a treat that was. It's probably the best tuna salad you'll ever have....plus Nancy is such a nice lady who seems to love her job while serving great food.Thank you People's Food Co-op and thank you Nancy.

Bought an egg salad sandwich.....9 bucks......was good before when they used quality sandwich bread.....now it's on a thick bun..... with the same amount of egg salad.... I guess more bun justifies the price increase

Polite and helpful staff, a congenial atmosphere, a nice selection given the size of the store, but would caution against the prepared foods, had an awful reaction. Will try again next time I'm in town.

I can't give a zero star because that's not an option. You guys use to do amazing things in your deli and bakery.. and instead you've just limited, declined, and removed anything good. And jacked prices way more. And example ... Why don't you make or take cake orders.. you stopped being a coop and became corporate America to the tee.. good job on ruining an amazing place.

Place is a JOKE..... They spent a million dollars to remodel the Deli and Hot Bar! Now there's JUST WATERED DOWN SOUPS to fetch the Million Dollars Back! If you're a atheist and like getting ripped off? This is the place for you!

Avoid the "open air bakery" goods. The baked good there are exposed to air for too long. The cookies are $2 each. I bought 10 of them. All were hard as a rock! Ended up throwing them out.

Went there today for the first time. The employees are top notch! Very helpful. I will definitely do my "organic" shopping there, plus...I was so happy to find the FRONTIER Brand of herbs and spices in the self-serve area of store. People's Food Co-op gets five stars from me.

Great selection. Also a very impressive bakery section for the size of the store... outdoing that of grocery stores three or four times their size in Sacramento. I think I hit my carb limit for the weekend just walking through. :)

Phenomenal selection. I just went in there for the first time in about 7 years.... the cashier said she liked my makeup. It was very sweet and a great way to keep customers coming back. Didn't have a whole lot of time to look, but I love that they have a way to look at items online!

I've raved about this place for years. I've spent a small fortune and purchased a membership as well. It's hard to find such a great coop anywhere. I'm always friendly and offer respect.Today they treated me as a common thief. Sussing me out and even coming around me to check my dress in light.Screw you. 🐦 I'm not the criminal. Your prices certainly are a felony.As if!

I've been coming in for years. You used to have some great soups. Now it seems like everything that's going bad thrown into a pot x3. Deli orzo pasta salad is underdressed. Got the artichoke pesto today and it looked unappetizing when i opened it. Grey. I added it to my pasta tonight and think it was better without. Deli sandwiches are sub par. Why can't you do cool stuff like the kim-chee reuben in viroqua? Salad bar used to have feta. And eggs. Lately I'm not impressed..

I’ve shopped and the People’s Food Coop since it moved to downtown La Crosse. I always find new & interesting foods as well as the standards. My favorite section is the wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Wait, no it’s the bulk foods section. Wait, it’s probably the the Asian foods section, or the Mexican food section. Ok, it’s the wine and beer section. The deli, the prepackaged deli foods, the hot bar, the bakery. The personal products. I could go on and on.I’ve moved from La Crosse but still visit regularly and I shop there every time I’m in town to bring home items I can’t get where I live and to have a scone. I love and miss the coop.

Moved to La Crosse from San Antonio in November, so not use to these small grocery stores. We had some small grocery stores too but still bigger than these grocery stores.This store resembles a small Whole Foods. What I was impressed and humored with, is how they keep the "Almost Expired" backed goods in a separate area and close to an exit / entry way so homeless people can just steal the expired goods. Yet, also try to get a free coffee. Will definitely be coming back.

We have been coming here for quite awhile for the awesome, unique selections and their own fresh deli-made creations. I was especially impressed on my last visit there, with how they handled a situation with a customer refusing to wear a mask. As a customer with someone at home who is at-risk, and also a young baby, I really appreciated this mandate being enforced. It helped me feel safe. I rarely see businesses enforce this, as I know it can sometimes lead to unpleasant confrontation, but it was greatly appreciated! Thank you, People’s Co-op!

I recently bought 4 six packs of cupcakes. They were $7.00 a piece. Very disappointed when getting home and looking at the cupcakes. The cupcake liner wasn't even half full with cupcake. 1/4 of the cupcake was actually cupcake. They filled the rest with frosting. Very disappointed I spent the money on these and the quality was just not there for the price. I wouldn't buy this product again. Way overpriced for the quality of the product.

It's a lot bigger than I thought it was. Produce is a lot better than most stores in the area. I was surprised. Although a little more expensive, overall it's better. They've got a lot more organic varieties than any other stores I've been to in the area.

Excellent shopping experience. Their produce is excellent and there is a good variety of other products. We shop the bulk section frequently for dried herbs and spices. The deli is fantastic. I could go on and on. Suffice to say that we have been members for 18+ years and I regularly encourage others to become members too.

As always, I love the co-op and the products from their deli. Stopped by yesterday for a Nero sandwich for lunch and also found a new favorite.The Workman sandwich is an absolute must try, if you're in the mood for a hot offering on your lunch break. Roast beef, roasted red peppers, cheddar, and just a bit of horseradish on an amazing crusty roll really hit the spot.Great job folks!

The People's Food Coop is a great place to find unusual and unique items. The produce is always good and they have a large variety of "bulk" items for refillable containers, from herbs and spices to nuts and snacks. A bit spendy but the product is always reliably good.
