Beautiful little store, with a friendly atmosphere. Lots of dresses and clothes for both women and girls. The infant clothing section is nice. There's plenty of men's ties and hats. Also winter jackets and random things such as coffee mugs, pens and pencils, pillows, jewelry..... Just have fun exploring. I hope that you like the store as much as I do! It's always a great experience. There's a peaceful atmosphere, and shopping there has a relaxing vibe. If you are arriving for the first time, don't forget to look at the jewelry. Believe me, that will have you coming back.

This is one of the most inexpensive thrift stores I've ever been to. The items are clean. The clothes are laundered and the staff is friendly and positive. I've already recommended this place to family and friends.

Although I enjoyed this store for awhile today finished my business or donations there...crazy madeup lady with a ankle boot came running out (apparently not too injured)asking "if those were my shoes" i.e accusing me of stealing them..I had just come from a very big church rummage sale recommending they donate their leftovers as well as going out of my way to donate my own designer clothes to this place. 2 ladies saw what happend & told me they had complained about the same "bully" & avoided checking out with her even if they had to wait awhile!! Best of all she gave me a hug which I really needed after being accused of something I didn't do!! Sad that this is the manager representing a "religious" thrift store!!

I've been here numerous times and never once received rude or horrible service.(or see it) They are doing a fantastic job. I'm thankful we have such a great store in this area to buy great items at great prices! If anyone has complaints or recommendations--- I encourage you to see if they will give you an opportunity to donate some time to volunteer there.

This shop has officially become my favorite thrift store! An excellent variety of gently used merchandise. The prices are way below other places that resell donated items. Very polite and courteous staff. They only take cash, however, there is a fee free ATM in the store. Great place to visit!

I am a traveler and I’ve visited this store a few times. First I would like to say that they have great customer service with greeting people as they come in and leaving out. The store is clean and well organized. The problem is people of a particular skin tone do not receive that same courtesy that other customers are receiving at least not what I witness for myself. Greet ALL customers with kindness.

Came here twice and won’t be returning.First visit I had a cart full of purchases and they wouldn’t accept my hundred dollar bill (sign stated they accept cash) so I offered a check and they wouldn’t accept that either. They don’t accept card so I didn’t even try that.Second visit I found an item on the sales floor to buy and they refused to sell it. They stated they used it to display items but it had a damaged sales tag on it and was displaying nothing at all. It didn’t say “item not for sale”.Both of these instances were within their rights, but very poor service and off putting to a genuine customer. If you won’t accept my cash and you won’t sell them items you have displayed then I have no reason to return.

My girlfriend loves coming here spends $20 and comes home with clothes for our kids that are cheap and look nice only thing she says she wishes they had more 8/9 shirts and 9 size pants for kids.

The cashier was rude and impatient from the moment we approached the register. Never in our interaction did I feel valued as a customer and was treated as an inconvenience rather than an individual there to shop at a local thrift store.

You can always find nice deals at Good Steward. The staff is always kind and courteous. The selection is always changing. The prices are great. Definitely like the good ole days of Goodwill. Remember those days???? Pepperidge Farms remembers....... Lol. That said I highly recommend Good Steward.

Out of all the thrift stores in the area I have 2 favorites. Those are Good Steward and Rootn' Crown. If you've been to one store and loved it and you haven't been to the other store I'm sure you'll like it too. Go check it out and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I have never felt more judged and uncomfortable in my life. This store is full of judgmental old ladies who stare you down and make you feel so uncomfortable that you want to crawl out of your skin.

Staffing quality very low. Old store had at least one person capable in charge. Repeated terrible experience here. No other used charity goods store in my experience anywhere is as bad. I am 75 yrs old so not biased on age. Just on inability to function in a retail setting. Good luck.

My most frequented stop in La Crosse! There isn't a visit where I come home empty handed. They literally have something for everyone. Merchandise sells so quickly that they are constantly restocking their shelves. And the clothes are ALWAYS clean! Not like other resale shops. The store is neat and organised. Staff is pleasant. They get 5 stars from me!

Moving in May 2017 to a bigger, brand new building at 1930 Rose Street. Good prices, clean and organized store. Lots of traffic so they move through items quickly. Sad to see complaints about "employees" -- they are all volunteers.

I work at Good Steward as a volunteer. It is a very nice place to be because the people take pride in sponsoring young area students to attend the local Luther school. It's nice to be in a store where Christians gather.

This store is the real deal, regardless of any other reviews you may see, try it for yourself. It offers people with limited incomes the opportunity to purchase items that they would never be able to afford otherwise. Friendly staff, opportunity to donate, my hat is off to this place. It's all under one small size buildings roof... I do not think you will find a better place to shop in the entire region to clothe your family. And to top it off, it is Christian based. Womderful!

I needed a walker for an upcoming hip surgery. A lady from the staff told me about her own hip surgery, and recommended one she had in stock. Best of all, I got $100 worth of medical equipment for $23.

One worker ruined my whole experience by telling me to make sure I hold on to my service dog and then proceeded to glare at me through the whole store, whispering to others and pointing my way. Not a comfortable feeling 😕.

Just a pleasant place to shop with lots of choices to select from!!! Clothes, adult, kids both men's and women's!! Some toys, books, movies, cds and more!!! It's very organised and clean!! Nice bathrooms, very clean!! Over all I would have to recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good deal!!

You are only allowed to take 5 items int the fitting rooms at a time & there is only a chair & 1 hook. The doors are kept locked. Labelling of men's versus women's clothing leaves something to be desired. You are told to put unwanted clothing back yourself.
