Popped in for items to get for a grill out. Great selection, and decent quality. But wow, the cost was insane! Far more expensive than other groceries in the area.

Give Allie in the village bakery in La Crosse a raise!! She's so talented and has done an amazing job with any cake I have sent to her. This one was a request that I had less than 48 hours before pickup and it was incredible! I feel like you don't expect a grocery store bakery to have such talent! 👏❤️ thank you so much for the cakes! Such wonderful memories made each time!

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing this store is. The hours are very friendly so you can almost always swing by at any time of the night. The staff are very kind and helpful and I genuinely enjoy shooting the breeze with them as I check out. The hot and salad bar are a wonderful and delicious touch as well, not to mention a healthy stream of coupons and sales. Perhaps the single best grocery store I’ve ever been to across 12 different states!

I really want to like Festival Foods, but I can't. Not a good enough variety of products and just too much prepared products for my taste. Mediocre bakery despite appearances. I do appreciate their produce displays.Still just ambivalent to FF. Seems a bit pricey too.Shopped the flyer today and did pretty good on prices.

I went to Festival Foods today for a few things. First of all, I was at the deli department to buy meat and cheese. I asked the young man if you had pepper jack cheese. I wanted a half pound and he said it was a little over,so I accepted that. When I got home, I looked at my receipt and noticed he gave me pepper jack GOAT CHEESE @ 12.99/# and obviously it was more than a little over half pound because it cost me $10.20! I've never had goat cheese and certainly hope we all like it. I wasn't happy that he didn't tell me initially! One more thing, he was not friendly and very impatient! On a better note, I was looking for some packaged blueberry muffins because the last time I bought some from the bakery, a while ago, they were dry. Chris helped me in my search and I then told her about my experience. We agreed that they maybe expired in a day or 2 and it's my fault that I didn't look at the date! She went above and beyond to make sure I made the right choice this time! She suggested to take them out of fresh area and I asked for a plastic tray for them instead of the bag and she gave me 2 so I could buy 8 muffins. THEN, she gave me 4 free!! I truly didn't expect Or Want anything free! Just wanted to explain my previous experience. I was So taken back and was Very emotional because in our world now, it's not common to be treated with kindness and to have someone to do what she did! Thank you Chris and Keep doing what you're doing! 🤗😘❤️🙏

This is the most convenient place to buy groceries if you need more selection than Kwik Trip, because it has locations which are closer to most people than the mega stores.I would also give a nod to Festival for its customer experience. While it has declined substantially from back in the day, it's still probably above average. On the negative side; the selection isn't the greatest and it's probably the most expensive grocery store in the area on average. I say that based on my own personal observations while shopping there and at area competitors. Keep in mind these are my perceptions, not a proper scientific or statistical study. Each of the grocery stores in the area have their own pros and cons.

Kind of disappointed in how few We Bag lines there are. Let's face it, Festival isn't the cheapest...but you go there for service. Bagging my own isn't a good service in my book. Update 12/23...pricing is a bit more competitive..however, I still dislike checking myself out...even if I have to bag it.

Love the staff at the register and bakery. Dislike the deli staff. I'm not picky about much, HOWEVER I am picky about my deli meat. I asked for it to be shaved dozens of times and I am given excuses. I have spoken to managers that say, "people like it thick, so we don't slice it other ways". The last time the deli worker belittled me and said I must not have teeth to chew. Followed by "it doesn't taste like ham that way". I've spoken to managers in all 3 festival stores near me and this is always the same. I would slice it myself if I could. Maybe they should get some Jimmy John's workers to slice their cold cuts? They have it right.

I like the deli, the fruit and vegetables and that they recycle cardboard and plastic for you.

Fine place to get groceries in lacrosseProduce was on the more expensive side.Isles of food were dark and slightly disorganized, similar to a Walmart.Overall fine place to get food, but certainly does not evoke a feeling of (I want to be here)

Shop the yellow tags and you'll do well. Frequently great prices on items in the flyer. Most staple items higher prices than Walmart but not all. Well above average customer service.Update:7/28/23Nathan made our checkout experience excellent. He was friendly and cared that we were satisfied shoppers. We were bummed that a certain item had been out of stock the past few times we were in. He wound up getting us a similar item that we were going to buy as a replacement for free ~$5. It's not the dollar amount, it's the small things like this why we continue to choose Festival over Walmart.

I have to say, that Susan who is a cashier into the late evenings and works mostly until close, is one of the nicest people at Festival Foods in La Crosse, (Village) location. She ALWAYS has a smile on her face and her kindness is out of this world! I would only hope there are more people like her. She is so friendly, and never has a negative tone in her body! Very helpful person! I hope she knows how much that is noticed and I hope she really gets recognized for the person she is and what she does working for Festival. Brian who stocks the shelves, has gray hair and glasses…He is extremely nice and very helpful too! He’s always smiling, even when he’s stocking! Sometimes you really find gems that work in Festival, and quite honestly, everyone there has been pretty nice. Some will go out of their way more for others! These 2 people definitely do! I hope they never leave!

I Walked in there to grab some items 5 minutes before they close, not too many people in there. Of course self checks are turned off so it's just some young girl standing around talking to her friends as I'm just aimlessly standing at the register waiting for someone to help me. You could tell she doesn't care about her job and sure as hell didn't care that a customer was just waiting at the register where she should have been. Self check is closed, maybe it would make more sense to stand at the register so you can get the last people out of the store. Unbelievably careless and lazy. Rant over lol

Pretty pricey and there produce hasn't been very good lately. The deli is nice, but I generally only go to a festival for a few items and for convenience. Overall the quality has been dropping and the prices keep rising.

Just a magnificent, beautiful grocery store. Now that Hi-Vee has moved into town, it has competition, but for a giant grocery store with fresh produce and the best meat, Festival is the best.

Lovely store, friendly staff who are always very helpful. We used the click and collect during lockdown last year and that was fantastic, so useful. We use it now when we are really busy too. Festival usually has a great variety of foods, the fresh produce is excellent and the meat counter is great. The deli counter has a big range of products to choose from, and offers every day on various things. Great place! Would like to add that the cashiers are excellent!

Expecting customers to work and bag their own food when using a cashier land is pathetic. Also, I’ve come there twice now for meat (steaks) and the meat has been rotten underneath and no it’s not from oxidation- I know my meat. It’s ridiculous that they expect their customers to work. I go through the cashiers line and there is never a bagger. I don’t get paid to work there and bag my own food. I just had surgery and can’t use my left arm well. A shame. Hire more people.

I've never had a bad experience coming here. Customer service is always very strong. I used the Click-n-Go shopping option for the first time yesterday and picked up today. With the exception of one substitution made (mini chocolate chip cookies instead of mini brownie cookies), everything else was completely accurate. Even the produce ripeness was correct. They even threw in a few free complimentary goodies! Will definitely keep coming back and will likely continue using Click-n-Go also!

Expensive since inflation, but worth it if you want good generic food options, deli options and even sushi! Also if you haven't tried their freshly made doughnuts; they're 1.50 for one, pretty cheap for good doughnuts. Also not as confusing as Hyvee's layout.

I love festival, the workers are so nice and helpful. The coupons are always a great deal and the products are a great quality. The store is always clean and welcoming. I would only shop at festival if they had everything I needed. Unfortunately they do have some limited options but there is still a lot of variety. Some things are more expensive than competitors but I think the experience that you get at festival is worth it. I love this store!!

The deli is awesome with an excellent selection of delicious items. The staff were friendly and checkout was easy. We need one of these stores back where I live in Illinois! Update: still great!

The Village Festival is so friendly! Nice people, but, aside from sale items, pretty expensive! Julia, the cashier, was so nice! I was in a lane that has the customer bag and I asked her (jokingly) if she'd bag my groceries. She was going to until I made it clear I was kidding!
