The owner helped me get my first snake yesterday and all the things I needed for him. He was very kind and took the extra time to answer all my questions and help me figure out what snake would be best for me. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended for people who are newer to owning reptiles. Will definitely be going back for all my reptile needs.

Brad has a vast amount of knowledge gained from experience which he shares helping owners provide the best life for their scaled companion. Seriously an asset to the coulee region. Feeders, environment enhancers, new family members of the scaled variety is just the tip of the iceberg of what is available. This is the perfect shop for fulfilling your reptile needs.

If I could give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD! Last night 03-13-2024 I was visiting a friend that lives in the apartments above the shop. I made it halfway up the stairs before I was assaulted by the smell of hot reptile urine and feces. By far the worst thing I’ve EVER smelled in my 22 years on this earth, it is by the grace of god I made it to the door without fainting. I couldn’t even imagine being inside! I don’t know who to call to report these people but I thought I’d start here.

My mom and I loved the store. The owner was very knowledgeable and took very good care of the reptiles he had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has an interest in these beautiful reptiles.

I could be biased because he’s my best friends dad, but Brad is very kind, honest, and would love to tell you everything he knows about any animal in his store. He’s very knowledgeable, and has great husbandry compared to every reptile store I’ve visited. His animals are healthy, enriched, and often very friendly or tame, all signs of a great reptile owner. Owner is very knowledgable with all kinds of reptiles, especially snakes. Store has a great supply of caging & decorations, live feeder insects such as crickets, dubia, and hornworms. Also has many reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates available for sale.

I drove an hour to potentially buy a new pet, but when we arrived we were greeted by the owner and then started to browse the store and all I did was moved a container to look at a gecko that was hardly visible due to the container it was in and I got scolded. The store person never asked us if he could help us or anything. The prices were extremely high and half of the reptiles were not for sale. I could hardly recommend the place.

Driftless Reptiles is truly the most impressive pet store in general, all the animals look healthy and have really nice, naturalistic enclosures. Brad is a great owner and always has a lot to say about the animals there, every visit to get feeder insects is a learning experience. Couldn't recommend this store enough for those seeking a pet herp or invert!

I've never been to a better pet store. It's not just a pay check for him it truly is a hobby and he cares very much about his animals. I got 2 baby ball pythons from him. Never have I ever got the gender, morph, hatch day and parent info on my reptiles before. Every Thursday I go get my mice from him he checks in on my baby's and gives advise to any question I have and let's me see all the snakes even if I've already gotten to see them all before, and is very kind an patient when my crazy lils come with which means alot to me.

Owner is one of best people have I talk to with about Ball pythons, I am only going buy my stuff from him from now on. He help me get my young Ball python to eat. He is kind enough talk to me and help understand things I will need for my Ball python. It means world to me to have someone I can talk to to learn become good owner to my Ball python.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the La Crosse area and have been to Driftless Reptiles a couple of times. It is one of the best reptile shops we have ever been to! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and I love chatting with him when we go in. The animals look healthy and very happy! The feeders we've bought from here are the best feeders we have ever bought. Such a fantastic place to visit!!! Stop in if you are in the area :)

Since Driftless Reptiles opened I’ve been a patron, impressed & relieved to finally find feeders for our Bearded Dragon “Pickles “ !The Dubai roaches, fantastic and a new, & now only source for great protein for her. Their size and price along with the Horn Worms exceptional!Brad had always been accommodating, & honest.Most recently, to resupply on Horn Worms, 4 had died! ( a new company he ordered from) and I brought them in concerned as this Never happened before. He shrugged it off, as I should have added water(?) never knew this, never had to be before.I also needed to pick up Dubai Roaches which to my amazement were the size typically of the very small ones I had Never purchased before! And he wanted to sell at the same price passing these off as mediums?!I typically by up to 20 to 40 of the Dubai’s so I am very familiar with my purchases, & quality he has always offered. I was definitely taken, very disappointing.When I questioned the price & size as it was a complete 24/7 switch as well as his defensive attitude towards me. My positive experience here, no longer & extremely disappointed!If he was offended by why I questioned him, he should not have been.By messaging me and telling me I am no longer welcome in his store, a bit childish, unprofessional.With his knowledge, passion for reptiles I hope as with any small, local business he succeeds.

Great shop! The shop was kind of difficult to find, it's in the end of a tiny strip mall. The space itself is small, but he definitely made the most of it. Prices were great, supplies were great, all his animals looked healthy and alert. Significant variety in feeders and reptiles for sale. He seemed very knowledgeable, and freely admitted he didn't know the answers to some of my questions, which is way preferable to people that just make stuff up. He also had cleaner bug colonies, like isopods, and live potted plants. We chatted for some time about animal husbandry and plans for future projects. Would definitely go back.
