I'm done shopping at Ace of LaCrosse until that Tim guy is no longer working there. He is absolutely the most smug, arrogant, condescending individual I've ever encountered in a retail setting. What's the deal, is he a relative of the owner, and therefore allowed treat customers as badly as he wishes? The first time I encountered him, I thought maybe he's just having a bad day. NOPE...he's always like that. Its incredible that a retail store would even keep him employed. If he's gonna be representing your store, then at the very least, tell him to say 'thank you' to customers at the conclusion of their transactions. Let me know when he's no longer there. I'll resume spending money in your store.

I went to pick up an item and it was on the wrong place on the shelf and it was mispriced. It rang up higher at the register and I stated it was listed for lower on the shelf. The nice worker, Tim walked back to verify and he did confirm it was on the wrong place with the wrong price listed. He called over the spawn of Satan, otherwise known as the manager (I think her name was Carrie). He pointed out to her that it was on the wrong spot on the shelf and had a different price. She immediately said then he doesn't have to buy it. So I was walking back up with Tim and she said put it back he doesn't want it. I said I never said I didn't want it, I just told her I didn't want to hear her excuses because she was being so rude. I feel bad that Tim has to work under her. He told me that she is not normally like this. I told him she shouldn't be like that anytime when dealing with customers. Horrible management and customer service skills. I will never go back because of her. She doesn't need to worry about this blizzard because the fires of Hell burn her hot enough.

Been in this store 4 times, and twice have been ignored by staff who were too busy socializing with each other to bother with me. If they weren't closer than Menards I wouldn't bother.

We love their selection of grilling related items along with outdoor items. The power tool section is quite impressive too. Cannot forget to mention how helpful each person is there! Thanks for being the best!

Just stopped in the local La Crosse Ace store. Five employees sat at the paint counter talking about their day. Not one of them asked if I needed assistance. As a member of the Ace community from a different location it is sad to see the store not living up to the helpful place. I will take the time going forward to drive to Holmen or West Salem for my helpful hardware needs!

Ace is the place! So I thought until I bought a Stihl chainsaw from them! I wish reviews would let you upload voice mail. Bought the chainsaw 2 weeks ago, took it twice to cut wood and ever time I would add gas it wouldn’t start until I let it cool down. Service department was no help. They even admitted that it wouldn’t start 2 times for them but on the 3rd time it started so they called it a ok! I could go on but what’s the use. Never shopping there again!!!!!!

I made a special trip to Ace because their website said thet they have snow blowers in stock.I inquired at the service desk and was told they indeed had snow blowers in stock but would not sell me one.Take them off your website if you're not selling them!!!

Leo was awesome! Excellent customer service and went out of his way for me! I rented a drain cleaner and could not unscrew the screw that was on the attachment. I tried for two hours and it just wouldn't budge. I called Leo back and asked if I could trade for a different drain cleaner since the screw wouldn't come undone. He accommodated my needs. I left a happy customer and a clean drain!

Customer service was great! We needed a new plumbing shut off valve and the fella who helped us knew his stuff. He even offered to remove a stuck on piece from the old valve that we needed and didn't have to replaced that part.

Great place and clean place, the workers are always nice everytime I go to Ace Hardware, my husband likes to go look at the fishing lures but the while store seems like endless supplies. The staff really know their information.

I had lost one of my house keys. I went to another store to have more made. The keys did not work. I went to Ace and had them made. They worked perfectly. Tim had made them. He did a great job! He was very nice! Ace is great place to go! They have so many things that you need and friendly, helpful service! 😊❤️

I rented a tiller from the store. It didn't work for what we needed it for. They told me a front tine tiller would work but it wasn't the case. I ended up taking it back. The guy who was working was very rude. He would not refund any of my money. I'm out $60. I will not ever shop at this hardware store again.

This is my first go to stop whenever I'm on La Crosse, to pick up my fishing license. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This last time, I made it there with only 5 minutes until they closed, and I was still treated with all the professionalism and courtesy as I would expect if showing up mid-day. They have a nice selection of fishing gear, and live bait. Convenient location, and a definite stop if you're coming to La Crosse for some fishing.
