Had lunch here in 8/9/21 @ about 12pm…Great place if u are looking for treats. I got a burger special with choice of chili or dries. I got the chili. I absolutely live chili. But this was way watered down. More beans than chili. Not meaty at all. No flavor. Like warm for a temp. Fries that my buddy got were greasy and just ok. Burger was lame. It was to have lettuce in it. It had a flake. The cheese had no flavor. The patty was good and the bbq was ok. But not much in the burger. Now if custard is your thing: stop here. If u love food…. Don’t eat here. Staff was friendly. Drive thru is always busy.Clean inside. Bathroom was kinda dirty really kinda gross.It this is a nice place if u want to stop in for some custard or treats.I got a Diet Pepsi and my buddy for a root beer. The machine was off and our drinks didn’t taste right.Whole experience was over $30 bucks. Kinda expensive for food and a treat. My sundae was SMALL. Very small. And was like 4.50….I would suggest a cone. They are huge! Ans look very good!!!Drop in and if u have a positive experience, which I was seriously disappointed…. Custard is not all melted n soupy like it was last year. Big improvement to the core product there!! See pic. Still slow service by predominately teenager type staff. 3.5 stars. They need more training in customer friendliness. Workers shouldn’t stand around either, clean or organize something. Way too much reddi-whip on the strawberry shortcake- not enough custard. See pic.In an interesting twist, this fine establishment appears to have global ambitions - as attested to by the Japanese sign. I would have written it as キュワ二ー 凍結カスタードアンドグリル or キュワ二ー 冷凍カスタードアンドグリル. They emphasize the “ke” sound but Kewaunee isn’t pronounced that way.

We were here years ago and enjoyed the ice cream. It had the same owner and a well trained team of employees. It really felt good to be seated among many young families enjoying ice cream !!!Kid-friendliness: There was a playground behind the building with trees and shade.

Great food at even better prices! Friendly staff, clean environment! Dog friendly and their specials are always a hit!They gave my dogs pup cups and it’s now their fav restaurant in the area too!Would recommend for dinner or just to fix your custard cravings

Great “old fashioned drive in” burger, bakery style bun, tasty beefsteak tomato, crisp lettuce, nice sandwich!Husband had the brat patty, also tasty. We try to get up here once a summer. Drive thru, thanks for pup cup, then down to walk the harbor.

Kewaunee Custard is our go to spot for lunch whenever we are in the area. The owner is always their working along side the staff and providing great customer service. The food is absolutely mouth watering. You want a good burger? Definitely try one because you won’t be disappointed. They always have a special of the day for custard too. Often times they have a sugar free option as well. Pricing is very reasonable. Wish they were open year round. 😊

Great Custard! Definitely great custard and topping choices. But...Terrible fries. I've had the fries multiple times and they are always mushy despite looking golden in color. Tonight I took mine to-go, and as I'm writing this review I'm preheating the oven to try to crisp them up!

Had fish sandwich and flavor of the day..food was great and the staff and service was great. Nice to see the young high shool kids the were professional, friendly, and efficient... had smiles on their faces and made you feel that they were glad to serve you. Great job for those working at 6pm on 5/30/23..Your boss and parents should be proud.

I gave 2 chances and I'm done. The 1st visit I was overcharged and the young man couldn't figure out the change from the drawer that he owed me. This was simple math. Last night my turtle sundae was more like a shake. I literally ate it with a straw. When I questioned the staff I was told it's because the hot fudge melted it. Then you need to turn down the heat! A sundae shouldn't be a shake in the 2mins it took for you to make it and bring to my table. Underwhelmed with both visits.

Their chocolate brownie bits blast is superb! But the burger was so-so and sloppy. Prices are kind of expensive by my book, but yet pretty average compared to similar places. Girl at register was having a hard time and didn't get the onion rings we wanted, onto the order.Parking: Easy access right off the highway. Fairly roomy lot.Kid-friendliness: I would call it a kid-friendly place

Floors were awfully dirty, build up over a period of time for sure. Younger employees working which were very attentive to the customers, great job!!Ice cream being served was so soft and melty it was dripping off of cones inside as it was being served to customers, cones were made very messy as well.. Dreamsicle ice cream had almost no orange flavor at all..

Pass on by. The place was pretty dirty (dining area and behind the counter) and the garbage can was overflowing. There were three teenagers running the whole place and I can't blame them for how things looked because they were pretty busy and probably not supervised. One thing that I thought was especially disgusting was that they kept the custard scoop in a tub of water, then they would reach their hand in grab the scoop, scoop out some custard with water from the tub dripping into the custard, and then drop the scoop back in the water, only to repeat the process when someone ordered a different flavor of custard, never washing their hands after they went in the water to grab the scoop, just wiping off on a dirty towel behind the counter. Taking money and repeating the process. Wisconsin is not known for their health inspector program, if it was, this place would have multiple violations. I ate a bowl of chili which was pretty much just tomato juice with about half a cup of solid ingredients. The locals seemed to love this place, but they probably don't know any better.

Good product poor management. We went for custard and I am not sure that anyone had emptied the trash the whole weekend. The facility was quite dirty and sticky. Once you promise your kids ice cream you are committed otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. There were many younger employees working but very few of them seemed to be helping customers. One staff member mentioned "I just clocked out so I can't help you". I am guessing this was shift turnover time perhaps. The custard itself was great. Overall the product was good but the store could do well by having some management oversight.

Wow outstanding. The staff seem like a genuinely lovely group of folks. Root beer float had to be the best I’d had in months and the long line took no time at all. The server was friendly and made me feel welcome. Great place, great people, great custard.

I stopped by yesterday with my boyfriend and pup. We had a great experience when going through the drive through and the workers were so helpful. We were even able to get a pup cup for my dog which was great. I loved my strawberry shake too.

Stopped in for a slightly early dinner after reading reviews about service degrading when the place got busy. Fortunately our service was great all around. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. It got a little busy during the dinner rush, but the staff always seemed to be keeping up.Food was exactly what I wanted from a small town greasy spoon. Double bacon cheeseburger was great, chili cheese fries were oozing, corn dogs were nice and big. Finished off with some custard, which while the flavour options are limited, was tasty too.The one deduction they get, which is why they only get 4 stars, is the cleanliness of the place. While not awful, there were some signs they maybe not everything was well kept up. Maybe it's only superficial, but cleaning that up would go along way.

We are regulars for their delicious custard. However, we came for food on a Saturday. They were out of bacon, no mac'n cheese bites and no onions. We waited 45 minutes for the burgers and the order was wrong. The help was lacking experience to say the least. Waited another 20 minutes for the missing 2 orders of fries. Once we checked on the fries, they had been sitting under the heat lamp. Quite disappointing being as we brought friends with who had never been here. The owner is normally here. But was no where in sight.

Pleasantly surprised by the drive through! The is a QR code on the side of the building to lok at the menu before you get up to the window. I got a medium sized chocolate waffle cone and it was big! In 5 minutes I had a mess on my hands like a 5 year old kid. It was awesome! Smartly my wife ordered a small cone.

My wife has never had custard (they're deprived in Texas); and it's been years for me. We were going to go inside; but we watched ten or so mask-less people waddle in just before we got there. So we opted for the drive through. A cheerful and masked young lady greeted us and asked what we wanted. I ordered a vanilla custard on a waffle cone. My wife ordered a chocolate on the same type of cone. Asked if we wanted small, medium, or large, we opted for mediums. Holy moly, they were huge! The custard was a good four or five inches high on the cone. Glad we accepted the extra napkins. The custard was really really good. It was creamy and very rich. My wife gave me that look "why did you wait so long to get me custard". It was a race to eat our cones before they melted on us. Although the custard was delicious we ended up with sticky hands and stray drops on our shirts. The chocolate seemed to melt slower than the vanilla.Bottom line, this stuff is outstanding. Just a friendly tip, if you're getting a cone to drive down the road with, get a small. It'll be big enough.

Had a daily special (of several choices) and a cheeseburger. The fries were a very ample amount and very good. The fish pieces again very nice sized. Girls brought foods ordered at the front to our table. Clean and family friendly. We picked the table we wanted in the front. Easy parking. Being on the main traveled road was easy to spot. Definitely would recommend and eat again.
