I don’t know what this new owner did to the ring bologna but it is awful! Their bologna used to be my families go to and whatever the new owner did had to be cheap short cuts! The ring bologna is extremely greasy and tastes awful. Hope they are proud of destroying a good name! Go to loehrs in Campbellsport. Better meat than Kewaskum now!

Went in on a cow with my sister. It took 3 weeks for them to process the cow and when we got the meat, some meat packages were not vacuum sealed properly leaving a lot of air around the meat and some were only wrapped in plastic wrap. Even if you are short staffed it should not effect the quality of the packaging. Very disappointed.Oct. 6: Just grabbed a package out of the freezer and both ends opened when I picked up the package.

My parents were big fans of their mustreippen, a Luxembourg blood sausage. The most recent one they purchased was horrible. Dad made the comment, whoever makes it now needs to go back to the recipe they were using. It was also extremely greasy.

Took until July to process a deer from gun season in November. Hot stick quality has gone down hill as well, esp. the casing.Also, They were EXCEPTIONALLY unhelpful when I rented a roaster for a pig roast for them. Lady did not have a good attitude at all on the phone or in person. I asked for advice and she immediately responded with a hard "NO... google will help you".When I returned the roaster I made sure to power wash it and scrape all grease off...she inspected it and commented that it needed a hosing off because of a few lose pieces of grass in it. Looking to charge me extra for cleaning???This is a business that needs to correct their Business to Customer attitude and process quick if they intend to make it without the B2B slaughtering portion of their business anymore.

Bought a cow from a local farmer and their packaging is horrible. After only a couple of months, the packaging let go and now the meat is ruined. This is the second cow we have gotten, the first one was processed elsewhere and was still good almost 2 years later.

I have eaten there little hots, garlic, and other snack stick. Little hots use to be my favorite, now the quality and consistency has gone way down hill for at least the last 8 months. Each pack the colors and textures and taste of the sticks is different. I'm probably done buying there product. I gave them months to turn it around, but it seems like it keeps getting worse and worse.

Took our venison here for years and after the change in ownership it all went downhill upon drop-off I was told 6 to 8 weeks in the end after many phone calls it took 5 months and was told I was skipping over 100 orders to get mine. The product my father in law and I received was not of the past quality and taste. The product has a rubbery texture, different taste (not an improvement), and my breakfast sausage is full of bone. The service was terrible no real answers and after waiting 4+ months the manager made me feel like i was in the wrong. Upon walking in the building it is dark and very dirty. We will not be patronizing this establishment for now on.

Dropped two deer off in November of 2021. Now September of 2022, 10 months later and still do not have them back. We are the ones that keep reaching out for an update. They never contact us. Only reply is times are tough, under staffed, equipment failure. Too many factors to give us an ETA. They are doing their best. It just seems like endless excuses at this point. I’ve tried to be reasonable with reaching out privately to get a timing on multiple occasions before leaving a review.

We stopped in on a WHIM while we were "in town" and picked up a couple items to try. so far so good! the summer sausage has a good consistency and flavor - next time we'll try a flavor. there are MANY flavors of sticks. we chose the honey bbq and jalapeno cheddar - both very good - we'll try more! today i'm throwing one of their sirloin steaks on the grill and have baby backs marinating for the smoker this week. they are not on our normal route - but we'll have to somehow incorporate them in as a regular STOP.

Dropped my deer off end of November 2021. Approaching 6 months, and nothing. Called several times and get the same answers (short staff, you signed the orange slip, etc.). Nobody knows what's going on there. Sausage is the holdup they say too. Well, then get your act together and get the sausage made because they do it in bulk. Who is running this place?

Decided to bring 2 deer, a bunch of geese and a turkey in for processing. I dropped the order off on April 29, 2020 to avoid standard venison processing busy times. It is now October 7, 2020 - 6 months later and only the venison is finished. They are not even sure when they can finish the rest of my order. In dire need of changes to their business. Asked to speak to a "manager" - the person won't take my call. Just a really bad experience. Avoid the headache.Update: Got a call today - October 20th, my order is finished. Shelly was wonderful the last few weeks with calls and follow up. She took full ownership for my customer service when the own's or manager decided not to work with me. She extended a discount and apology for the business. SHE is appreciated. Good work Shelly.

If I could rate this place a 0 I would! I have been buying a quarter steer from the same farmer for 5 years. All the steer have been around 3000 lbs hanging weight around 1700. The farmer decided to go here as our usual butcher is changing hands. Well I picked up the meat and didn't think of looking to closely. I got home started unpacking it and realized right away that this was definitely not our cow. Of course there is no way to prove it but what normally fills up my freezer didn't The steaks are half the size. My friends and family got the other ¾. Mine was all meat but two of the other three peoples had the organs and soup bones included in their final weight. Very, very disappointing as we each paid high than normal to the farmer for the steer. I will never set foot in this place again. To the owner do yourself a favor and give the people what they paid for, shame on you!

Terrible service my son took 2 deer in to be processed in November. One deer was to be just cut up and one was to be made into sausage. He got the one that was cut up back and they have no clue when he will get the one being made into sausage back when he called this morning to inquire. Then when he was on the phone with them they asked if he wanted to pick the up the cut up one, he told them he already did. They have no clue what is going on there. Never has it taken this long to get a deer back from anywhere we have taken them. Save yourself the trouble and have your deer done somewhere else.

Despite the name this place offers some of the best fresh butcher's products around. Success are always reasonable on very high quality meats. Unfortunately they did not have fresh chicken breast on my last visit, though it was available frozen. Many excellent frozen products as well as a great selection of the quality Kewaskum sausage and bacon that we all love.

I've been buying 1/4 beef an 1/2 pig 5 yrs or so an trying different place my experience with kewaskum wasn't good different care for taste of meat compared to other place but that was OK but when I have throw out meat because it's freezer burnt an meat falls out of bag that makes me very unhappy

Has had deer to be processed since end of the 2019 November gun deer season. I have called several times with the same excuse not ready. I can't even get steaks they say it all wrapped together. First time taking it to them and will be the last time. Never seen it take 6 mo and still going to get deer back. They have my deposit for the deer. Went to take some steaks out packaging terrible freezer burnt. Do yourself a favor find someplace else to get deer processed.

We get nearly all of our cow meat from here and rarely go anywhere else. We ordered our 1st 1/4 cow and now know for next time that we need a 1/2 cow. It took a little longer than expected but we were told there could be delays, COVID19 did not help at all. I don't think people understand that but overall we are please and will continue to support local!

Terrific Garlic Summer Sausage. The retail space seems like part of the meat factory. Usually has a few samples. Today was cheese, sausage stick ends and a tasty smoked Braunschweiger, tasting like a light liver sausage. Well worth a road trip just like mine from Germantown

Great pork steak @ $2/lb. Great stick ends, regular, garlic or hot, cheap. But I'm loving the bacon ends(from packaging) because they cook fast and drain better and are ready for use in dips or soup or beans.Bbeans.BLT dip from Sendiks @ $9/lb::: chopped bacon, chopped tomatoes, ranch dressing. Awesome.

Waited 9 months for my venison to be processed and some bags of jerky and bacon were not even sealed. On top of that everything tatses freezer burned.. My family has been going to kewaskum for over 20 years but not anymore. The quality isn't there anymore.

Everyone is so nice and friendly there I had a nice young girl help me get some barbecue beef sticks which were the closest I could get to Teriyaki my son loves them just a little difficult to get it in and out of the store if you have a cane or Walker but everyone is so nice they really try to help you the season hamburgers are so delicious. There's a young girl that used to work at the Citgo in Kewaskum and now works at the Kewaskum Foods she is still so kind and nice I'm glad to see that she's still in customer service

Over 6 months to get our venison back!.... 1/3 of our package meat i will have to throw out because its so freezer burnt. The summer sausage is horrible!... and the service was the worst!. This place sucks!

This place is old school cool and they offer outstanding products at very reasonable prices. In my experience, anytime someone tastes the beef sticks from this place for the first time, they always say it is the the best they've ever tasted.
