I will always go out of my way to visit this specific Ace location. As a small business + property owner I am constantly needing tools & supplies for various projects, & the team here is always so helpful!I have worked with team member Brent several times, including this morning & he is always extremely helpful + informative!I have rented tools a handful of times as well (including today!) & they always do a fantastic job of walking through proper use, clean up, etc on them!I also had some assistance today from several other team members, all of whom were amazing!The attitude, knowledge level & overall environment in this store is extremely impressive! Great customer service, thank you Brent + team!!

Wonderful people! Not only did they help me find what I needed (it was out of stock) Bret took the time to research for a hot glue gun that fit my needs so much better than my original item. We will always shop local and Carsten's is the BEST!

I purchased a drive belt for my lawnmower the sales person was Scott. I went back after I installed the belt. I thought he sold me the wrong belt. After I explained the problem I was having , Scott told me it was a easy fix. I had the mower in my truck, he went to get the proper tool, went to my truck and adjusted the drive tension cable and it now works fine. All at no charge . That’s customer service and then some. I just LOVE this place and the guys who run it... Always help me. Gives Great suggestions. Always have what I need. Never a gimmick or a running around game. To the point. I get almost all my hardware needs plus here. Really like the bins of clearance items. Along with how honest these men are. Don't make you feel stupid. Or degrading in anyway. Get keys made here as well. Cars, home, certain PO Boxes. Prices are reasonable..

1st, in the past, 5* (if I would have posted a review), helpful employees with the heavy bag of sunflower seeds. This time, February 2024, I was in a time crunch. I checked the ACE website which claimed 2 packages of the specific button batteries I needed. I drove ~ 15'. A friendly employee greeted me, led me to the correct aisle and display, and stayed to help me search (5*). Nothing was found. ACE website gets the 0-1*, unless the fault of the discrepancy is Carstens'.In their parking lot, I called the next closest ACE in Little Chute. A man told me that 2 packages were available. I gave him my name, ETA (15'), & asked that both packages be left at the checkout counter. Only 1 package was actually available. That discrepancy supports my suspicions that either the ACE website or Lindner is at fault for the discrepancy.Perhaps the ACE inventory software doesn't respond quick enough to keep the website information accurate for the user.

Place like no other. I drive a longer distance just to go here.Well...my unintended stop ended up being a complete and utter delight.After deciding to look for materials for the final stages of a couple of projects, I was greeting by Paul, an Ace Hardware associate. He was by far the most friendly, professional and informational worker I have ever interacted with.I am not only comparing Carsens Ace Hardware to other Ace Hardware locations but also to local and national competitors.Associates will go above and beyond to make sure you find what you need. Bonus about this place is that the workers know what they are talking about and can actually answer questions.I would highly recommend this business to any man or woman of any skill level and/or need.My return will be very soon.Thanks again for the great experience and assistance.

Dave was a tremendous help to me! If you want to get help with a project... go to this hardware store. I can never get help from the big box hardware stores. But you can from an Ace hardware! Highly recommend

I’ve never had anything other than extremely positive experiences at Carstens Hardware.All of the staff is always helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.I even buy my basic supplies here. I don’t have to go to the bigger cities for a big box store at all. And the prices are really competitive, even though people assume that the big box store would be a better deal.

Bought an ego edge trimmer for the lawn. The manager was very helpful and knowledgeable with all my questions. I would highly recommend stopping in if you're ever in need of any outdoor equipment

I can't recommend Carstens Ace Hardware enough. Anytime I need tooling or hardware/materials, this is the first place I head too. The staff are all super friendly and you can count on getting solid advice for nearly any issue. The service doesn't stop there though. Brent and Scott went out of their way to lend me their expertise to help me replace some pressed in bearings. This saved me over $200 dollars. Having this resource minutes away is a boon to our community.

Very disappointing that no where is it posted in the store or on receipt that Carstens Ace hardware will not take returns from other Ace stores. I have no problem with this policy as long as it is stated clearly someplace. I was politely told, "I should have just known this."

Great store. Except we brought chainsaw blades in to get sharpened. Paid a lot of money for it. Finally tried the blades today and they're terrible. Giant burrs. Can't cut 2 inches into a popple tree. For a hardware store theyre great, for a sharpening shop... go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

I would give them a zero if I could. Their customer service is very poor. I went in to get a spare setIf keys for my UTV. They didn’t have the blanks and said they couldn’t get them. I ordered a couple blanks from Amazon and took them in to get cut. I was told they couldn’t cut them as they were not their blanks.I spoke with the Manager and he gave me some lame excuse about being sued if they do not work after they cut them.I asked him how I was supposed to get them cut and he said call around to another store to see if they will cut them.I did and found a store that I will now patronize as they actually care about the customer.
