My adventure to own an electric bike was over a year’s journey. I studied, considered, and test drove many different companies and configurations of electric bikes. Mr. Caldwell with his background in mechanical engineering and passion for electric bikes was the most knowledgeable person I had spoken with about electric bikes. I would personally put Mr. Caldwell up against anyone (i.e. bike shop employees, electric bike company engineers, youtube authorities, e-bike reviewers, e-bike mechanics) with the overall knowledge of all things involved with electric bikes.The Powered Pedaler built an electric bike according to our agreed upon specifications that I feel personally was best for me. After 3 weeks of riding my bike, I returned back to Mr. Caldwell and had him make changes to my bike that fine tuned my bike configuration. He did this with astute professionalism configuring the bike to what I feel is the best electric bike built for the quality, durability, and price possible.I have nothing but praise for Doug’s gift of building electric bikes. I highly recommend The Powered Pedaler for anyone in the market for an electric bike.

The best e-bikes we could possibly own. We needed something powerful enough to navigate the steep hills in our neighborhood, which most commercial e-bikes cannot handle on my budget. Doug assured me these would handle the hills without a problem. They easily navigate up the hill at 20mph!!! The absolute bonus is we have VERY sentimental bikes- and to have these customized is beyond special. Thank you Doug- we are having so much fun.

Doug did a wonderful job on my girlfriend's bike. Obviously knowledgeable, fair, and honest. Couldn't recommend his service more. Plus the puppy is adorable.

Doug quickly and professionally inspected and adjusted my bike. I really appreciated the explanations and expertise he offered while making the necessary adjustments. I don’t write reviews often but I would highly recommend Doug and will definitely return for future repairs or adjustments. In addition to “pedal bike repairs” he can also modify your bike to add electric for some uphill assistance! He’s a super friendly guy and so is his adorable dog.
