Dr. Amy is the best! Recommended from friend and the best thing I ever did! She diagnosed my dog Autumn with a mass on her foot which now my previous vet diagnosed it as a cyst. She was very nice and knowledgeable. And her prices were so reasonable compared to what I was quoted from my previous vet for surgery. I would recommend her to any one I know in need of a vet. Thanks to Dr. Amy!

I loved taking our pets to Jackson Pet Hospital. Unfortunately when our dog passed at home we called to get him in for cremation and were told that it wasn't possible that day or the rest of the week! We took him to Grafton, WVRC which worked out extremely well. Today we tried getting our cat in at Jackson pet hospital for an emergency and were told we had to go elsewhere as no appointments this week or next for emergency! Final straw with how our fur babies and family was treated.

Dr Amy is great with my little girl. She's very knowledgeable and very quick. We were able to be seen same day and it was needed in the situation. My little girl has been seen twice same day. It's a relief when there is an issue to have it resolved so quickly.

The care that your pet gets at Jackson Pet Hospital is Outstanding. Starting with the receptionist they truly are welcoming and very friendly this really makes you feel comfortable. The vet Amy Spaeth is very good at making your pet feel relaxed. She is very good at explaining things in a way that you understand. I truly believe that the Jackson Pet Hospital is the Best in Washington County.

Do not take your pet here, terrible!My daughter's cat was diagnosed with early renal failure last August and also hyperthyroidism. He was put on saline IV for the renal failure to be given once a week. He was not put on anything for the thyroid problem. Fast forward 6 months, he lost half of his body weight and he was seen again. They ordered blood tests and also a stool sample since he lost so much weight. He had blood in his stool so she was told very coldly on a VOICEMAIL that he "most likely" had intestinal cancer and to call them back with our plan for this. How would my daughter know what plan to take? She tried calling several times to get more info but never was able to get a hold of the Dr. So she left a list of questions that she had with the receptionist such as, what medications can he be put on to be comfortable (anti-nausea, pain meds?). The vet called back and left another voicemail with answers to those questions. She was told that cats don't tolerate pain medications and nothing was offered for nausea or for the thyroid problem. Other than that voicemail, there was no follow up.We decided to take him somewhere else to get a second opinion. They were so nice and the follow up there is amazing! He has been put on a medication for the hyperthyroidism, which should have been offered months ago and maybe he wouldn't have lost so much weight! He will also be getting a steroid for the intestinal problem which also was not offered to him from Dr. Spaeth! Maybe that could have slowed down the progression of the disease and discomfort he was feeling. He has had chronic diarrhea for months!Dr Spaeth's bedside manner is awful! She is cold, didn't show any care or concern for her beloved cat. My daughter was basically told on a voicemail that he was dying and to call to let them know what she wanted to do. I feel that he was mistreated by her since he wasn't offered anything to help him. We aren't doctors and trust the the vet is giving you all the info you need to make a decision but that was not the case here.She was also told by them that she wouldn't find a vet cheaper than them in the area. Who cares about money when you are caring for a loved pet! We are looking for care for our animals, not a good deal!

Dr. Spaeth seems extremely comfortable with our very big, and very nervous, Danes. We've seen other vets that are uneasy with them during procedures - she is the best we've had in terms of getting passed their antics and getting on with the appointment. She's also great at acknowledging and advising on any financial restraints we might have. Outside of appointments, she is always quick to respond to my random questions - even when they aren't specifically related to the veterinary care of my animals. We live in Milwaukee and have been putting in the drive to and from Jackson for six years .. and will keep on making the trip.

Dr Amy Spaeth is the REAL DEAL. She gets to the root of the problem quickly and makes sure all my dogs are in perfect shape.I have brought dogs in for wellness exams, infections, freezing semen, breedings and c-sections.I absolutely love the place. Beth and the other receptionist at the front desk are awesome. Always kind and caring.

She has been honest from the start. Our boy should have been seen sooner, but she recommended medication that was working well for the time being, and a specialist location that was 24hr. He had a medical emergency and needed the 24hr specialist. They come back withan astronomical price $2700+. His immediate needs were taken care of there, i suppose. We shortly went back to Dr. Spaeth and he was diagnosed worth pneumonia. She didn't day it, but I knew he was dying. She was the most compassionate vet I've ever experienced. Thank you to Amy and her hard-working staff.

My personal experience was extremely poor. The clinic is quite dirty, which was concerning to me, but the poor quality of care was alarming. Dr. Spaeth is abrupt, rude and has no bedside manner. She lacks compassion for both the animal she is examining and the owner. Our exam was extremely brief, and she acted irritated with me for any question I asked, actually making me feel incompetent for asking. She did not introduce herself or even say hello. She made no attempt to get to know the animal, and did nothing to put the animal at ease. I can not speak for her advanced clinical skills, as I was not witness to them. However, her basic skills and ability to demonstrate compassionate care to her clients is non-existent.

We found dr. Spaeth to be very personable, professional, and efficient. She was able to make friends with our dogs within seconds and my mean scary pitbull dog fell in love with her right off the bat and next thing you know he was on his back with his belly in the air. Just waiting to be scratched. She managed to give him all his shots that he needed and treat some other issues with the dogs and she did a fine job and we will be happy to refer her to anybody else.
