This was the first grocery store we happened to see right off the highway. Friendly staff was helpful as some products were in places I wouldn't have guessed. I'm guessing it was due to the limited floor capacity. Had all the basics though.

Good grocery store...has the majority of the essentials, but nothing elaborate. This is the "safety net" food store for the area. Expect to pay more for fewer choices, but be darn grateful they are in Iron River saving our butts from driving to Ashland and Superior. Please click 👍 if this was helpful.

A small town grocery store that packs a punch! We stopped while staying in a resort near Iron River, and I was able to find everything we needed and more. The checkout was quick and someone was there to carry our bags.

Nice little grocery store in a cute little town for your essentials if you don't want to drive to get to the big box stores. Decent prices and selection of goods.

Nice store, however produce almost always goes bad in a day or so. Most times they are out of stock on produce and the items they do have are expired or nearly expired within a day or so. Prices are high but to be expected as nearest store in Ashland. If the produce was better I would shop here more often and I live in Iron River. But with produce being so sketchy, we have been buying from local farmers or going to Walmart. Owner is not very friendly. Workers are nice.

It's a hometown grocery store where you get to know the people who work there. They are your friends and neighbors. It's a small store but they do a food job of trying to meet their consumers needs. I go there often. It saves about an hour drive to go into Superior or to Ashland. It may not be as big as the stores but the selection is very good.

One observation: in the weekly sale add deli items are mentioned but I've never seen them in the store. I'm thinking that the add is a universal IGA thing and this store doesn't partisipate in the deli part. Otherwise a very nice store with good sales that I drive 45 minutes to buy a couple times monthly on average. A nice small town grocery feel to it.

I love this small hometown store. Selection is good. I have shopped here for over 40yrs. Recently bought assorted pork chops for my freezer, but cooked one 1st, (mmm mmm good). Moist & tender.

Options, options, and options for a small town store. Love it here and the service was great.

Nice local market with good selection of foods and fresh vegetables. Most prices were reasonable, but no generic brand 1% milk in half gallon and soda prices are way too high.

This is a very nice grocery store for a small town.

Everything is really good other than their produce department. Which is very hit or miss on how fresh things are. Have seen many fruits and veggies just rotting on the shelf. Other then that then that fantastic store.

It's a small town grocery store that might not have a lot of variety like some of the mega marts of today but it usually has good friendly staff and has a little bit of everything. They also can usually order something if they don't have it in stock.

Hellmann's mayonaise in Superior or Ashland costs around $3.89, so you figure a country market might have to charge $4.29 or so to account for the shipping costs and smaller orders. Not even close. Try $5.89. That's a 51% mark-up over regular retail. Iron River Foods could send a van to Ashland to pick up a dozen cases of Hellmann's at retail, sell it for $4.89, pay for the driver's time and gas, and still make 60 cents a jar. So, with a higher cost per item, an inefficient delivery system, and a severely reduced mark-up, this store could easily make a 12% profit. I'm guessing that the actual wholesale, delivered cost is close to $2.00 per jar, so the mark-up is over 100%. That really takes advantage of those who do not have the time or means to make longer trips to buy groceries. There are a lot of items that are similarly gouging. Sometimes the sales are okay, but if you plan to buy more than a few every day items, you will save money by driving a half hour to a nearby city.

Support our local grocery, they try their best to bring us comparative prices and since a co-op annual meeting to show us all where the money went... Plus that Cowboy Caviar is so yummy.

Seems to be a grocery store in a small town with jacked up prices but the people who work there seem to be nice and friendly and helpful... About what you would expect in a small town in northern Wisconsin

Small town grocery store that carries the essentials and not overly expensive. Would have given 5 stars if staff and owner would be a little more friendly or just happy.
