First time using Chuck and Don's and I highly recommend them! The staff here are so friendly and welcoming! Nice clean facilities and I could tell my dog felt safe getting a bath! They even gave him treats after!

The dog washing stations are the best, especially for big dogs. They sit at the perfect height so you’re not breaking your back. The on off trigger on the water hose gives you good control. They provide silicone brushes to work the shampoo and conditioner down through the hair and skin so they get good and clean. High velocity blow dryers in the tub are also very helpful. They also have short leashes in the tub area that you connect to the tub to keep them in place, though I think a little longer for my big boy would be nice as it holds his head to low for his comfort.Just do the workers a favor and clean up as best as you can afterward. My dogs leave a lot of hair everywhere so I clean out as much as I can so they don’t have to. They do appreciate that.

Just went into the Hudson store and with smiles I ask if they had compressed bones. My vet suggested I get rawhide compressed bones due to bones causing damage to teeth. The salesperson had a very stern approach and even corrected me on calling the bully stick I purchase a chew bone. Rolling eyes and all I decided to leave. Purchased my 16 dollar 6 inch bulky stick without much complaints. Everyone has a bad day and I hope their day improves. I will shop here again. Manager was very friendly. Again maybe they just had a bad day or week.

Stopped in after lunch during our family outing looking for medication for our sick cat. Very judgmental older woman (looks like she’s in her 60’s) took merchandise out of my son’s hands (who was holding it for me while I used the bathroom) and took it to the counter to make sure he wasn’t stealing it. Then proceeded to watch him throughout the rest of the time he was in the store. Rudest person I’ve ever met. Left everything she took away from him at the counter for her to put away herself and picked up new items. First time we’ve ever been here and it will be the very last.Side note- for a pet supply store they do not have a lot at all for supplements. Was very disappointed and couldn’t even find what I needed.Edit- I had to google pet stores in the area bc we’re from out of town. I found an amazing shop Angel’s Pet World, not only were they wonderful, knowledgeable, helpful, and well stocked but after explaining what happened at this place I was informed that many people are switching to Angel’s bc of the behavior in that store. Specifically the manager. So if you’re looking for a good, helpful, respectful place to shop for your pets, you should check out Angels.

with edit. You get what you pay for with food. Dog food is no exception. Big box brands spend thousands on commercials and advertisements. And far less on food research And food quality. The opposite it true for what you’ll find at chuck and Dawns. High quality food brands that don’t advertise. And focus on the food quality and health of your animal.Edit: The best self wash. They provide so much more than just shampoo. Really above and beyond for creature and owner comforts. Newest addition is large plush style towels and these new handles on the high power sprayers that REALLY HELP get water deep without rubbing a hard surface up against your dog as you wash them, risking hitting an elbow or banging somewhere sensitive. designed to fit your hand. I had to update my 5 star review with the photos.

Great store that has everything you need for a pet: supplies, food, training classes, and a dog wash. Customer service at this location is fantastic. The store manager helped me choose the right food for my new puppy and was very knowledgeable.

I always thought it would be too expensive. We do pay more for dog food here but we get better quality and I have noticed a difference with our dogs.The people are always friendly and you can bring your pet in while shopping. Lots of pet toys and different things.

Update: I ran into a clerk who DID enforce the 30 minute time period, and said she would charge for another if I went over. So I rushed through the wash, but it really isn't enough time for us to get done. I called them later about the unlimited plan to see if maybe we could spend over 30 minutes without paying for two washes, but you would still need to buy a 5 pass wash WITH the unlimited plan and use 1 wash each time. I switched over to another store which offers unlimited time for a lower price, and it is working out better for us. But if you can wash your dog in under 30 minutes, it is a good deal!Original post:I bring my dog here for the self wash station. Very nice, and the price is reasonable. My only issue is that you are supposed to spend 30 minutes (I assume to allow others to use the stations when they are busy). I have a hard time washing, conditioning, and properly drying my dog's coat in 30 minutes, but they don't seem to bothered if you go a few minutes over if no one else is there.

Chuck & Don’s Hudson is the best! Kathy, the general manager, is so friendly and helpful! I moved out of town and called to order a dog tag for my dad to pick up and bring on his next visit. Kathy was super helpful in creating the perfect tag for my dog and making sure it was easy for my dad to pick up from the store the next day. Friendly and knowledgeable people like Kathy make shopping at Chuck & Don’s such a positive experience. Exceptional customer care and individuals who truly know and love animals!

***UPDATE***At my next visit they apologized to me regarding my issue stated below. Also, I appreciate the unexpected rectification. Thank you - sincerely! I give them 5 stars for their handling of my complaint.***************Normally I would rate Chuck & Don's 5 stars. Because of my most recent visit I'm giving it 1 star. The store hours stated on the website and those posted in the store window are different. I was misled to believe the Hudson Chuck & Don's location was now open until 8 p.m. on Fridays. I got there at 7 p.m., the open sign was on, pulled on the door, IT. WAS. LOCKED! Looked at the sign on the door. It stated they closed at 7 p.m. Please correct your hours. I don't care if you close at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m., just please post the same correct hours of business on your website AND at your store. This misleading information really put me in a spot; really needed to buy a specific pet food. Live too far away to make a special trip to pick up the food.

They are always friendly and willing to help me find what I need. I like that they have higher quality products as well. The loyalty friends of Chuck is really great. Usually after buying 10 or 12 bags of the same pet food you get a free bag...really sweet! I've always had a nice experience shopping here for my cats.
