I have been bringing my dogs to Dr. Beachem since shortly after he opened (almost 20 years for me). Dr. Beachem is always very knowledgeable about and patient with my dogs. He was even knowledgeable about one of the dogs I adopted that had Addison's disease - not all vets have much, if any knowledge about this disease, and with me being new to it, he was patient and very helpful so we could provide her with the best care to manage the disease. Dr. Beachem is more on the quiet and reserved side, which may be seen as a negative with some people, but rest assured, he does care about the animals he is treating, and he is very patient when listening to concerns and willing to answer all questions. Pricing is also very competitive, if not better than many clinics in the area. I highly recommend Richfield Area Pet Clinic for your dog and/or cat's healthcare needs.

To the entire staff I would give ten stars for care and compassion. Facility is very clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and professional. I love the fact that one patient is allowed in at a time. Seeing as our dog has high anxiety. We are never rushed.Prices are affordable 😁A thousand thanks to Dr. Beachem, with all his knowledge and experience, for literally getting Izzy back on her feet again.

We just had our first visit today with them. Our dog, who has a history of not really like the vet, did so wonderful! The staff and the doctor took such patience with her. They ended up being able to take her muzzle off during her visit, which is astonishing. They explained everything to me very clearly and they were very patient with all of my questions. We would definitely recommend them!

This Vet is incredible. We've taken our black lab here for the last four years (since he was born), and they've always treated us like family. Even during days when the doctor is in surgery, the tech people gave us some helpful ideas about what we could do with some problems our pup was having.Their prices are incredibly reasonable (I'd argue they're the best in the area as some other family members go to other vets and their prices are higher for some of the simple check ups). They treat you like you're the only one there and their knowledge is incredible!

I get the feeling that the veterinarian did not get into this line of work for the animals. He really doesn’t act like he cares about your pet. He also uses an extremely condescending tone when he speaks with me. I don’t know what I’m talking about when it comes to my dogs because I did not go to veterinary school. He’s very dismissive and I’m not really sure I trust his diagnosis at times. The clinic is also very expensive. I’ve been to many veterinary offices over the years and this one is by far the priciest. If you’re in the market for a new vet, keep looking.

AWFUL! Do Not Use This Vet Clinic! EVER!!Very first appointment today. They did not allow me in the building (covid protocols). I was nervous and uncomfortable sending my dog in for an exam with people I’ve never met - they did not tell me this in advance. Called in to clinic because I couldn’t go inside, and explained I was feeling uncomfortable because I wanted to speak with the vet about my dog and his situation prior to exam or treatment. My dog is on prescription food and has had serious health history. They told me the doctor could come outside and speak with me before the exam. Sounds good. Instead the doctor came out and gave me my dog back. Like what!!! He refused to speak with me or examine my dog. He told me I was rude to his staff- FYI I was not. I was expressing to the staff that I was uncomfortable because I wanted to explain what was going on with my dog. The doctor was obviously upset that I wanted to meet him first and couldn’t handle the situation respectfully. I was shocked at how poorly I was treated and the nasty look in the doctors eyes. WOW. If he is so rude to humans just imagine how he treats our furry loved ones. I dodged a bullet on this one and hopefully you do to. Oh yeah, and there are signs everywhere outside to keep your dog out of the gardens etc. Hey Dr, you obviously care more about your plants than your customers. Time to do us all a favor, retire and become a gardener. You are a horrible rude person. The office girls were very nice but I got the idea they weren’t treated well either.

Growing up all my pets went here. Now that I have moved back home to be with my mom after my dad recently passed away, they refused to see my cat. I had her records transferred from her old vet and they said since she was “agitated with restraint” at her last visit and that they wouldn’t want to see her. She has never had a problem at the vet before and the previous vet said it was probably because the cat in the room before her was stressed and cats can smell pheromones from other cats. This clinic tried referring me to a vet all the way in Waukesha when I live 1 minute from their clinic…. So thank you guys for making this already difficult time in my life that much harder. So much for caring for animals.

Made an appointment for our new dog to get established. Discussed everything over the phone and only asked to have his nails done. I was told the cost of the nails and maybe $50 or so for the visit. I gave them all the paperwork and it's a drop off only, so I was told to return in about 20min. When I returned, the veterinarian came out, handed me the paperwork but no bill. He asked for my payment and I asked the total. He replied with "just over $200!!! I was absolutely shocked but what could I do!? I received NO call or discussion as to what they were going to do with my dog. The total was actually $230! Very disappointed and broke for the week! 😔

Great Pet Clinic! Beautiful entryway! Just introduced them to our pup today and cant wait to have more future visits. Love the saftey protocols in place. Vet was very patient and made sure to answer all our questions and put up with our nonsense. Ha!

Dr. Beachem & his staff are the best! We have been seeing them for over 12+ years with all of our animals. Our Pups love them! I never feel rushed, or talked down to or overcharged by them. Dr. Beachem himself is a kind and gentle man with a huge heart and all of his staff truly care about your animals.I had been very dissatisfied with several OTHER vets across the years that pushed or guilt tripped me with unnecessary services & expensive medications - without offering alternative options, instead of taking a conservative approach when I preferred that depending on the circumstances. At Richfield Area Pet Clinic, they inform you what the options are, tell you which are best & let you decide what is right for you & your pet understanding that you know your pet better than anyone.We could not be happier with them! <3

They're really awesome to take my dog to for check ups. With the covid they have you wait it your car while they do the exams which is not a problem. My daisy loves 💘 to go there!

We've been taking our black Lab Jazmine to RAPC for over 7 years now. Dr. Beachem and his staff have always been helpful and very caring. He's also very conscious of keeping costs in line and doesn't push pricey procedures if the overall benefit doesn't warrant it. (This is contrary to some of the other reviews here.) We definitely and wholeheartedly recommend RAPC to anyone looking for a great caring veterinarian!

I've been going to him a long time. I regret ever using him after the experience with my last little pom who is gone now. I feel this could have been avoided. I think he knew what was wrong from the start but had to make as much money as possible. The putting to sleep experience couldn't have been worse. I will never forget.

This is Darcy's mom. I wanted to take my elderly dog somewhere close to home to end her suffering from hip dysplasia and dementia. I forgot to ask my husband how much it would cost when he made the call. Wish I would have taken her somewhere else. $200 is too much for this kind of service. Now I feel sad and mad I didn't go somewhere else.
