Customer service here is unbelievably awesome! The second you walk in the door there are somebody saying hello at the cash register then they'll be another person that will ask you if they can help you find anything. You don't have to wander around and look for employees. Then the person that helps you always seems to have wonderful knowledge in their specific department. For instance there is a man that works in the lawn and garden area.... I'm not sure if his name he... has longer hair and glasses....this man knows his department!!!! I'm telling you he knows every product and if you have any questions he has a suggestion for anything and everything. If you need something that Ace Hardware in Holmen sells go there!!!!!! Don't go to the big box stores where you get a 15 year old working in the lawn and garden center and you want to ask about your weed control lol they have no clue!!! You get personalized attention, AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE and they are packed with knowledge!!!!!

The guys at Ace in Holmen were very helpful! I was buying a chainsaw and didn't expect anything extra. Then they said they would fill out the warranty for me, filled up the gas tank and test ran the chainsaw before I left.

I was able to find some satin nickle decorative hinges that I couldn't find elsewhere. The salespeople were friendly and helpful. They usually seem to have just what I need at a price similar to the big box stores.

Worked for them, nice enough store for shopping, minus the fact every thing is over priced and can be bought cheaper most other places, but avoid if your looking for a job, i quit a couple months ago already and still never got my stihl rewards points that i earned, training is terrible and about 90% of their other employees dont care enough to do the job right. You'll be expected to know everything in every department but still get paid next to nothing for it. Avoid getting stihl certified as well because it will either take a year to get your points or you wont get them at all

This is where you get excellent service. You could go to a box store, but you won't get your questions answered, nor receive the personal attention we received. The owner was a fountain of knowledge - which was extremely helpful in making our purchases. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

You barely get in the door and an associate is asking if they can help you find something. When you have questions about one item with several different styles, they take the time to explain the difference and ask you questions so they know which style works best for you. Truly love ACE!

Has a very disrespectful cashier that said that the customer isn't always right. This person has no business being in the position she is in. She was very argumentative to both my husband and myself. After cooled off called the management and reported the problem, was told that the cashier will be talked to but am sure nothing was or will be done about the problem.

I used to shop there all the time but then I had a strange experience there and I will never go back. I've had a long time to think about this since that day and I think I finally figured out why they treated me so bad. It was around Christmas day last year. I was wearing a sweatshirt my mother-in-law gave me of an old hillbilly with Christmas lights wrapped around his head. I think they judged me on that alone. As I walked out I could hear two of them talking about me... They said " We don't need that Riff Raff in our store or our town". End quote. Merry Christmas.

This location sells craftsman tools. If I could give them zero stars. Warning: Do not buy any Craftsman's tools out of this hardware store in Holman, wi because they do not honor craftsmans tool warranty. I will not be doing any further business with them. Very poor service.

Love the people here. I come here for all my supplies and today it changed. I wanted to rent some equipment and the lady answered the phone while I had been standing there for over three minutes. She rented out the equipment I was there to get. They did not even make it right.

Rented a garden tiller from them. The clerk showed me how to start it, turn on the gas and choke he said it will start right up. I got it home and followed his instructions. After 20 minutes of pulling on the starter rope I gave up and called them. The guy I spoke with said check the kill switch. I was never told there was one. When I returned it and complained about the lack of instruction, the clerk replied "Oh well, that happens."
