Allison and Amanda had done three skull mounts for me in the past couple of years and all of them turned out really good.But this shoulder mount was easily the best and most realistic work that I have seen. The attention to the details started when I came in last October and we went over how I wanted the buck to be positioned, the ears, and especially the eyes - which I was very particular about.The story of the process was also a lot of fun. I shot the buck on my land near Blanchardville in mid-October of 2022 on a Sunday when the temps were in the upper 70's, so it was a race to get it caped and the rest to the processor. They didn't have their winch set up yet, so Allison climbed onto the roof of my SUV and caped it there - I wish I had a photo to share. We then wrapped it in plastic for the trip to the butcher. And after a lot of texting about more of the details, they were able to deliver the completed mount today at my home in Oshkosh.As I told Allison and Amanda this morning, I didn't think anyone would give me a better mount than the last one I had done (a 13 ptr.), but this one is truly the best mount on my wall. They really nailed it!!

I picked up my European Elk this past week and was impressed with the quality of work, communication and answering questions about future projects. The elk skull they did 3 years ago is still white as can be and have attached a photo of them.

Well I have taken 5 deer (4 mounts and 1 European) there in four years and very pleased with his work! I also got a 30” walleye that he did a replica on, that looks great on the wall! All work gets done in a timely manor and worth taking your trophy too!! I would highly recommend it! Here is all the work he has done for me! He also did dip the one European mount as well!!

I love this place.Most importantly -- the customer service is phenomenal. Alex will make sure you are taken care of.Second - the meat is amazing. It's exactly what I've been looking for and the best I've had from any processor in the area.Finally -- the taxidermy work is awesome. I've only had a plaque mount done so far for a whitetail, but the turnaround was fast, price was right, and it looks great. Stop in if you get a chance to check out the showroom and see the great work Alex can do.I'll be back every year I get a deer!

Alex was great about helping us out when my son shot his buck and it was 80 degrees out. He has 24 hr drop off which saved the venison from spoiling and had a great turn around time. We were able to pick up his mount last week (5 months). Great service. Even came to my house to pick up a turkey that we did a full body mount on.

This is truly a one stop shop! Make the shot count and take your trophy to Outdoor Addiction! I just recently harvested a Wisconsin black bear. I brought it to Alex. He is doing the processing, life size mount, skull cleaning, and scoring the skull once dried. All for a fair price. I have had a few deer and fish done by Outdoor Addiction! They look amazing! And the turnaround time is amazing fast!

I'm amazed with the quality of the mount. My son got a bear 2 years ago and the taxidermists that did it was recommended to me by a world class hunter, Alex did my daughter's first buck and it makes me feel like my money was wasted on the bear hide. He did fantastic work, was FAST, and communication was fabulous. My daughter had her best Christmas ever thanks to him. I would recommend this place to everyone. The friendliness, attention to detail and the care that is put into their work is worth every penny. I just can't say enough about Outdoor Addiction. Alex is even going to try and make the bear look better for me in the future. 5 stars just isn't enough.

I just got my 2 fish back and my fiancé and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! His extreme attention to detail and precision work made our mount turn out better than we could’ve ever expected. They were able to pick up and drop off the fish which made working with them extremely convenient. We will definitely be recommending and using outdoor addiction for all future work!

I was recommended to these guys by venison processor, and I am glad I was. I had never mounted anything before and Alex was very helpful in deciding what would look best. Turn around time was what I was told, and the mount came out looking great. Dropped off some fish today and will for sure be taking any future mounts there.

Super awesome to deal with. Went with a friend last season to pickup his mounted buck. The work they do is extremely high quality. This year rolled around and I got my first buck. When trying to figure out what to do next I called a processing place and was like I have no idea what's next this is my first buck.. the lady kind of was like whatever. So I went to outdoor addiction instead. They walked me through getting the deer processed and my options and the woman working the counter was super friendly. Outdoor addiction is a DNR cwd testing location which makes that step easier. Very satisfied and won't be going anywhere else.

Alex did an awesome job. I picked up my 2nd turkey fan mount delivered to cottage grove and it looks just as great as my 1st one. I highly recommend Alex for any of your taxidermy work. I would highly recommend Outdoor Addiction Taxidermy. When I harvested my turkey this spring, Alex drove straight to my house to pick up my bird. Four months later, Alex hand delivered the mount and he had cut the meat out and had it all sliced up and ready to eat. The attention to detail was also very great. This is a great place. They will process and mount and vacuum pack all your meat. I'm having steaks and roasts and bacon made. It's a busy place at deer season. The addiction sticks are awesome. Got some brats from them too. Awesomeness abounds here.

The work outdoor addiction did for me was tremendous! They’ve done much better than I expected and my expectations are very very high. I won’t say it’s the best experience I’ve ever had with a taxidermist but frankly it was the best experience I’ve ever had with a taxidermist.Not to mention the turnaround time! The turnaround time is fastest in the business and it’s not even close folks. Get your taxidermy done here, you will not be dissapoined that I can guarantee you.

Outdoor Addiction Taxidermy has some of the best work I’ve seen. Alex really pays attention to the smallest details, so you can get the best quality mount back. His stuff really looks “alive”. Also, which is super convenient, he has deer processing in the same building so it’s a one stop shop.

if I could give negative stars I would. I gave them my daughters first deer she has ever killed to have shoulder mounted along with another deer that I shot. it has been 2 years and still no sign of getting them back any time soon. when asked for updates they would always tell me "one more month"...for 2 years! Now they refuse to answer phone calls, txts, and emails. I have been asking to get my deer back even if it is not done for weeks and they refuse to let me come get my property. they are stealing from me at this point. my daughter will never shoot her first deer ever again and I just want what is mine and I have been asking for, back. This used to be a respectable business when Alex lease was running It. Its sad to see it in the state it is now. I went there with an Iowa county sheriff to get my property back and they refused to give it to me. a quick CCAP search will reveal that they are in some trouble with the bank so be careful about spending money here!They reply to reviews but not texts, calls, or emails. I've been lied to the entire time. I have not raised my voice I have not name called I have not threatened anyone. I have simply been asking for my property back. What she left out about me stopping by where they work as taxidermist is that I had a sheriff with me on my behalf so that there was no speculation of wrong doing on my part. I have asked for a time to meet and a picture of my property and they still can't do that. Is that not what an appointment is?

Outstanding work super fast turn around time. I have taken work to taxidermist all over the country in over 15 diffrent states in last 10 yrs have had over 300 mounts done and half or most have been thrown in trash or given away do to poor quality work or animals that are not what I take in. Have gotten skulls back that Have bugs in them or not cleaned out fully. Have gotten mounts back that are not how I requested or posed like a red fox I took in asked for it to be standing on a log got back a running fox. And most all mounts took 1-3 yrs to get back have a few skunks at 3 diffrent taxidermist all have been in for over 3 yrs and still waiting to get back mounts. Every thing I have taken in to outdoor addiction taxidermy has came back in under a yrs time or sooner. Fish painted and posed properly, life like poses on my ducks they look alive not like a dog chewed on it. Extremely happy with the quality of work and will recommend this place to others and will be a repeat customer.
