This was such an amazing truck stop to take a break at. There is plenty of truck parking, but it does fill up fast. The showers are very nice and clean. The people working here are super friendly. There are lots of different food items to pick from. If you have time, I really recommend stopping by the restaurant and eating. The food was quite delicious and had lots of flavor and our waitress was friendly. Definitely has an old school truck stop feeling to it and hopefully will get to swing by again.

10 stars! If you ever come through this area, do absolutely do stop and have a look-see here. They have showers upstairs if you need a shower that have all the nozzles in the wall that is like a standing massage and it is Heavenly I'm telling you. The food is really really phenomenal and it's real down home flavorful not over the top not overly seasoned food that tastes like food that's so fresh and flavorful. The waitresses and staff are so chatty and friendly and normal. This stop refreshes your mind body and spirit.

The best travel stop ever. I’m from Georgia, and had no idea what a Kringle was. The lovely lady in the bakery took time to explain it to me, and how they are made. If you’re in the area, get one! So good.

Bathrooms were very sanitary and unlike other bathrooms didn't have giant gaps underneath them and there were no gaps in the sides either, love the cabin vibe. Cheeseburgers are great and hot cocoa was bomb!

Love it here! Great service, foods is great fresh and portions are sizeable. My husband always gets at least a few slices of pie to go as well!

The employees were friendly. My chicken quesadilla was very good. So was the Rum Raisin ice cream. I was offered a sample of all 8 flavors available at the time. Showers are $12. The shower I had, #4, was clean, has a bit of a view & has 3 streams in the shower that are controlled separately. It also has a removable shower head. I wish I could give this place 4 and a half stars, the temperature on that shower head couldn't be adjusted, it stayed uncomfortably hot. But that was the only downside I noticed. The semi-parking in that lot is exceptional. Easy to manoeuvre in and out of and appears to never be completely full. Looking forward to visiting here again.

If there was a 4 and a half option I would do that one. Cause the food here is really good. My food was alright. But everyone else in my group agreed that it's one of the best breakfasts they have ever had. Maybe it is the breakfast that is super good. One person even claimed it was better then Perkins. The french toast. Now that's something. But the customer service was meh and it just didn't seem like an unique 5 star restaurant to me

This is a great little travel center. They always have the lowest price diesel fuel in the state. This is a must stop if you're traveling between madison wisconsin and minneapolis minnesota.. right off of the interstate. Separate diesel islands for semi's. Parking for semi truck and trailer.

Was a great stop at Hixton Travel Plaza. We we just passing by the area, and the restaurant caught our attention. The service is great, and the food is tasty and the portions are generous.

Under new owners now so it’s Come and Go but still a great restaurant and good diesel prices with friendly service in C-store. Plenty of good parking as long as they don’t get a few of the Pig truckers like the red Dart truck with his fat old lady that trashed the place dropping their cig butts all over the ground.

Always a good breakfast when we stop here, which unfortunately isn't often enough since we live 3 hours away. We do try to get here 2-3 times a year.

I love this place! We have been in Hixton for a little over a week, in our camper for deer season. We’ve had several delicious meals here (The baked fish was the only thing not so good, next time I’ll skip trying to be healthy and get the fish fry.) and the two soups I’ve had so far are soooo good. Since we’re camping, water is an issue and the managers have allowed us to use their hose and fill up our water jug! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and they have clean nice restrooms. My absolute favorite thing is that they carry Ice Cream Shoppe brand ice cream, IMO, the BEST ice cream ever! It’s seems like they are transitioning over to being a Kwik Trip, hope they keep the ice cream!!

The staff, including the store operation manager are absolutely incredible. But it doesn't stop there! All the other employees are just as amazing. They're hardworking, friendly, and always have a smile on their faces. The welcoming atmosphere makes it a pleasure to stop by. Highly recommend checking it out during your travels! 😄👍

Hixton Travel Plaza is definitely one of my favorite stops in the country!Friendly staff, great food and the best showers anywhere.I have always found a spot to overnight with my rig though things can fill up at times.The restaurant is very warm and comfortable and the food is outstanding. Note: If you like liver and onions, this is a must stop!It's the incredible showers that originally drew me back so I recommend stopping by and treating yourself.

We stopped in here today because we couldn't find a Kwik Trip and BOOM, we see they're being taken over by Kwik Trip! Yassss! I love Kwik Trip, so this made my day. Very excellent service.

I just discovered this place and it is AMAZINGLY NICE!!! They have ICE CREAM 😁 and everyone is super nice. The lot is well-lit and concrete. Bathrooms are really clean and I'll assume the showers are as well. Can't wait to eat so I can get some ice cream after! Found a new favorite to mark on the Map.
