Our family went up north for a little spring getaway and stayed in the town of Hayward for two nights. We have children who love to swim, so this AmericInn was perfect. The hotel lobby was cozy and decorated nicely. Everything looked and smelled clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was attentive and helpful when we needed anything. The breakfast was well stocked and we enjoyed the fresh, hot scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles. There was also plenty of other cold items like yogurt, cereal, bagels, and donuts.I was impressed with how many times I saw the staff cleaning through out the day, even washing hallway walls and mopping. They seemed to care about the hotel and enjoy working there.Of course the kids’ favorite was the pool and hot tub, though we got them out here and there to enjoy Hayward hiking, restaurants, and small shops. We hope to be back!Rooms: The rooms are spacious, with two queen beds, a desk, wardrobe, tv, cabinet, nightstand, and two chairs. The sink is outside the bathroom which is helpful when getting ready for the day while someone else may be showering. Very clean and decorated nicely.Nearby activities: There are four resale shops that are cute and interesting just a 2 minute drive away. There are also two sweets shops and other fun, souvenir shopping stops on Main Street.

clean roomsbreakfastpoolmy only complaint is that I stayed in 3 different hotels this week in the area (within 100 miles), this one was the most expensive, and I thought it was the least "nice" of the three.Smaller bathroom than the other two, lacking things like conditioner and shampoo that the other less expensive places had. and it just felt a little less nice. but I'm not saying it wasn't nice, it was. but being the most expensive place I stayed this week, it should feel a little bit better than the other places, and it wasn't..

As stated in a previous review, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL FOR ANY SPORTS TEAMS OR GROUPS!!! AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. Our team blocked room months in advance to ensure the team had rooms near each other. They put us on different floors and not near each other at all! They over charged us the promised rate, and then interrogated us when we brought up the rate we were promised. The list of rules is ridiculous. No congregating, no chairs in the halls, no knee hockey, no one in the lobby after 10, etc. We had to sign the list of rules before even checking in. The staff kicked us out of the lobby at 9:45pm, and then again at 10am. They yelled at our players for walking too loud, and questioned all the kids if all of their parents are in the pool area, even though there is a group of parents watching the kids in the pool area. It's like walking on eggshells around here. Staff made us feel like we are an inconvenience and not guests. Our rooms were dated and there were stains all over the walls. Warning to all those who have mobility issues that there is NO elevator. The $60 we saved by staying here was not worth it. This will be our first and last visit here.

Staff was very polite and attentive. Hotel Décor was dated, but clean. Room was clean, but had an odd smell. The breakfast was a no-go, ended up eating at the local restaurant a couple doors down.Rooms: Room was clean, but had a odd smell.Noteworthy details: Staff was very polite and attentive. This experience was such a surprise. Our first issue was with booking our room online. The wrong room type was reserved on their end, and Destiny was quick to fix it for us. I wish she was there when we arrived because it would have been positive, I'm sure. Instead we were "greeted" by Sarah Kemmits, the general manager. After leaving us stand at the desk for way too long, she came back with our IDs and said, "We don't allow locals to stay here." I said, " Oh, but we don't live in Hayward, we're from Minong." And she said, "That's still too close!"I'd like too add that while Minong is the next town over, it is a different county. The pool and hot tub are also open to the public for a fee. So... why?I asked if the rule was posted on their reservation site, and she said no. Then I said, " I'm the front office manager of a resort nearby, and I've never heard of anything like that before." To which she replied, "If you want to be SNOTTY, I can make this reservation go away."I don't think I have ever been angrier in my life. In 20+ years of hospitality, I have never spoken to a guest that way.If it weren't for my boyfriend holding my hand, I might have lost my cool, but I knew she would kick us out without a refund, so I bit my tongue instead.Giving 2 stars because the Jacuzzi was nice, and because Destiny deserves better than Sarah. Everyone deserves better than Sarah.First and last visit.

DO NOT BOOK FOR YOUR CHILDS SPORTS TEAM! They were willing to book a room block for a hockey team and take our money, but not accept the group that came with it. We were expected to make no noise during our stay, even during the day. Staff were very unfriendly to everyone and had no customer service skills. They acted rude when we asked for extra towels and blankets. Night staff even recommended a different hotel for us that likes hockey if we come to Hayward again. The key card lock for the pool door was "not working" most likely on purpose to supervise children going in and out of the pool and you had to wait for front desk staff to let you in each time. FYI: You can't be in the lobby after 10pm even quietly or you might get the cops called on you. Not group friendly!

workers drinking in the parking lot should have been our alert to keep driving but every hotel was booked on this busy night. Filthy toilet upon checking in, sheets on wrong, moldy and broken tile in shower and outdated decor. We had to wait for the manager to get to work in the morning and then she ignored us until we approached her face to face to complain about our stay. We will never stay here again.

Overall, our stay was great, the room was big and spacious for our family. The only concern was the maintenance in the pool. My 10 year old step on a broken screw and it was to pack in the pool to see where it came from. I handed it to the front desk, hoping they had someone look at it.Safety: Broken head of a screw inside the pool. My son stepped on it.

I don’t know how I’ve never heard of this place! It is my top hotel by far! The staff is warm and welcoming! The rooms are clean! The beds are comfortable! They have an indoor heated pool & hot tub! They have a great breakfast with bacon, eggs, freshly made waffles, a coffee bar….etc. the best part art is, my work location is 2 minutes away! I could walk there! ❤️❤️❤️ if I could give them 100 stars I would!

We rented a room by the pool. It had a patio sliding door with access to the pool. The room number was 101. Well on the first night we were there they ended up locking the sliding door from the pool area. The pool didn't close until midnight for adults. But the second fire exit we had besides the front door was the door in the pool. But when they locked the sliding door that only left us with one fire exit. Plus we were having a conversation on the phone and we got yelled at by the Manager of the hotel. She told us we were being too loud. She said "This is your first and only warning. If she had to come and tell us again we would be asked to leave." We were there for one more night. We had my brother, my niece who is 3, my Mom, and my brother's girlfriend/fiancee for a birthday gathering. After they left we got told by 3rd shift we have now had our last warning about the noise level. After she said that she locked our sliding door. I will never stay there ever again.

The front counter desk person went out of her way to find us a room, and we appreciated that. She looked tired and overworked and went the extra mile. The room and beds appeared to be clean and tidy and comfortable. The rooms were quiet from other outside noise, and provided good sleep. The bathroom shower was disappointing. The tub tile had lots of visible gunk in the grout lines, especially around the spouts. The tub itself was clean, but the tub walls were in need of a deep clean for mildew with a scrub brush . Made me wonder how it was allowed to build up to that level if it had regular cleanings. The bathroom door creaked so loud it would wake any other guests up, so i would think it had been complained about in the past. It was in need of a lot of oil.Breakfast was great. Lots of options. A good selection of fresh food warm and cold (as appropriate) would make sure everyone walked away satisfied. A big bonus to get an early start on your day, and for family's, a great way to save time and money while vacationing.Plenty of workers to tend to guests needs on the day shift.Pool looked well taken care of and guests seemed to enjoy it.Lounge was quiet and people were using it to read, relax, and watch the news while waiting to begin their day. Everyone appeared to be comfortable.I would suggest parents bring a stroller for their small children. They may have highchairs but were not visible. A father laid his baby on the floor so he could prepare his hot coffee without his baby in his hands.Overall it was a good experience.

Very clean and comfortable rooms with all the basics you'd come to want in a hotel room: mini fridge, TV, desk, phone, microwave, hair blower, and iron with ironing board. I say all these things because some of the other hotels in the area lack many of these amenities. They even included these charging stations of varying voltage that I found very useful given how many devices I have.Their complimentary breakfast is one of the best I've had the pleasure of eating. A good selection of pastries, cereal, juice, yogurt, and milk. You can easily make your own waffles, and on Saturdays, strawberry waffles are offered. Every day they offer a different kind of meat alongside scrambled eggs. Usually pork meat (ham, bacon, etc). There's a seating area to eat if you don't want to eat in your room. The heated pool was very nice! My son loved every second of it. We went there every day for our 3 day stay.Staff were helpful and acoomodating. I never had to wait long for assistance. One of the nicer hotels in the area!

I stayed at the AmericInn for work. The place was clean, the room had a nice lay-out, the bed was very comfortable, and the service was great. I had to work in my room while I was, and I was able to open the window and hear the birds sing. That was nice! Internet worked great!Rooms: The bed was very comfortable--nice pillows and bedding.

A lovely place to stay. Very nice rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the pool is excellent. One thing about the pool is that they don't close at an unreasonably early hour. The staff was quite friendly. I look forward to staying here again

This hotel is very clean and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable (maybe a little too comfortable. Lol) There was a nice hot breakfast with ham and eggs as well as continental items. I work remotely and had no trouble with the wifi throughout my shift. If I’m ever in the area I will definitely stay here again.

The swimming pool and hot tub were very clean. Our hotel room was cool when we entered (I hate coming into a hot hotel room). The bathroom had poor lighting and doesn’t have ventilation, so that was a little disappointing with how moist it got in there. Employees were kind and very hospitable. Continental breakfast rotates everyday. We had pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereal, coffee, orange juice, milk, apples, and bananas. With COVID-19 precautions, the staff served the plates to us (instead of buffet style)

We stayed from 30 December through 02 January. I want to compliment how clean your facility and rooms are. I appreciate your hard working staff for providing answers, wearing masks, and hospitality. Thank you so much for making our winter vacation so relaxing and enjoyable. I have stayed here for a few years now and recognize some of the same staff! Very nice, hard working staff!

Got booted out at 10:30a.m. because the lady said we don't let locals stay here and me my girlfriend and dog are homeless the room was left in excellent condition and I had 400 dollars for one more night and she said my emotional support dog ain't a service dog well why did I get to stay???I'd say other than the ignorance of the front desk lady it's a wonderful place to stay

This place is just off the main drag in Hayward. Not an overly huge facility, it comes with all the amenities. There is a pool, and the continental breakfast offered in the morning had omelets, sausage, potatoes, and toast. You could also find bagels muffins and juices. Coffee was hot and fresh. The facility is a little dated, but just a stones-throw from everything in Hayward. The room was clean and ready upon our arrival, and the place is pet-friendly. The jacuzzi tub in our room was exceptionally nice after helping move my daughter into her new apartment. I'll stay here again.

I was impressed with the two rooms I rented for June 10, 2016. I have six children and we received a clean room with two very comfortable beds. The staff was great. And we loved the breakfast of sausages, potatoes, eggs, waffles, yogurt and coffee/juices. They have a real nice pool, too. I was impressed and would stay here again.I was impressed with this hotel. I stopped here with my wife and six children, and we rented two rooms. The beds must have been brand new, as they were very comfortable. The rooms I rented had two queen beds, a desk, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. That was nice! Breakfast was great: sausages, eggs, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, juices/coffee, rolls/Danish, cereal, fresh fruit and a few other items. We filled up here with no need to hit a restaurant. I also met the owners. They are real nice people bent on giving their guests good service and a pleasurable experience. I loved my stay here! What else is there to say? Good clean rooms, a good hearty breakfast, friendly staff at a good price. I'd come back here again.

This place is pretty nice! The staff was professional and very friendly. Rooms are spacious, clean, and updated. Building is quiet all day and night and is on the north end of town so a little past the in town chaos. Close to Walmart for convenience and pet friendly with a deposit.
